Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 2166: The Dragon Tomb Dungeon

Chapter 2166: The Dragon Tomb Dungeon

-----

After hearing from Ninhursag what it truly meant to combine the power of Beast Aura with my own body, I felt a fresh spark of understanding settle in my chest. I thanked her sincerely for those small but enlightening words.

"Thanks! I’ll be taking some classes with you and your mom then, Zack! Hehehe!"

"Sure!" he nodded happily, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "We can spar later in our beast forms. I want to test how strong I am compared to you now."

"Oh? You’ve gotten way braver than you used to be, Zacky boy!" I giggled, giving him a playful nudge. "Sure! Any time!"

After things finally calmed down and we all regrouped, we continued our trip toward the dungeon without further delay. The path led us to the base of a tall mountain, and we began a slow, relaxing climb up its rocky slopes.

The air grew cooler and thinner with every step, carrying the clean scent of stone and distant snow. We had already stored the corpses of the defeated monsters along with the various dropped items that the system now provided every now and then, such as divine soul stones and divine spirit stones that glowed softly with residual power.

The Patriarch Cyclops had also dropped a heavy treasure chest. Inside we found a divine skill scroll, more of those precious stones, and two pieces of divine armor that Grandpa immediately recognized as incredibly valuable.

The first was a Frost Cyclops Eye Helmet. It contained a large jewel shaped exactly like the monster’s piercing eye, which seemed to watch us even now. The second was a Frost Barbarian King’s Hammer — a giant hammer forged from deep blue metal and heavily imbued with frost divine energy that made the air around it shimmer with cold.

Both items were extremely powerful and radiated an aura of ancient strength, but I did not think I would use them myself. Grandpa then carefully convinced me to donate them to the Kingdom of Evercraft. He explained that selling or studying such relics could help generate much-needed money to rebuild damaged areas faster and stabilize the local economy a little in these difficult times.

I agreed after some thought and gave the items away without regret, though he promised firmly that if I ever needed them in the future, he would return them to me at any time without question.

Oh, and I also gained around 250 million EXP from the entire battle! The number still felt almost unreal when I checked it again.

As for the divine skill scroll, I decided almost immediately to gift it to Aquarina, since she needed divine skills of her own. This particular one felt perfect for her style and growth.

"I’m sorry, Sylphy. I can’t accept this! It’s way too amazing!" she insisted, holding the scroll as if it might burn her hands. "Please keep it for yourself instead!"

She tried hard to reject it, but I refused to let her push it away.

"Nuh-uh. You’re keeping it," I said with a warm grin. "It’s your gift for all the help you’ve given me so far...!"

"I didn’t help you when you went a little crazy as a dragon..." she sighed, looking down with a touch of guilt. "Sorry. I was busy fighting the remaining Cyclops at the time..."

"It’s fine. Don’t sweat the small details~!" I shrugged lightly and pushed the scroll back into her hands. "Take it!"

"F-Fine..."

She finally took the scroll properly and felt its divine power pulsing strongly through her fingers. A soft light flickered across her face as she sensed the potential sealed inside, and for a moment her expression softened with quiet gratitude mixed with lingering reluctance.

We continued climbing in comfortable silence after that, the weight of the recent battle slowly fading behind us as the path wound higher into the mountains.

"A Divine Skill Scroll for the Ice Element..." she gasped in pure excitement. "Ugh, I can’t wait!"

She used it instantly, breaking the scroll cleanly in half exactly as intended and fusing the powerful energy within it directly with herself.

Divine runes of deep azure light appeared across her hands first. They then moved steadily up her arms, spread across her torso and the rest of her body, and finally reached her neck and face in a continuous glowing pattern.

Suddenly a huge azure eye made of pure blue light opened right in the center of her forehead.

Then the eye slowly faded and disappeared.

"Wow..." she muttered, still catching her breath. "T-This is insane...!"

I saw the system notification of what she had received appear in my own vision as well.

[Aquarina has used the [Divine Skill Scroll of the Frost Cyclops Patriarch (SSS+ Grade)]!]

[She has learned the Divine Skill: [Frost Giant’s Authority Embodiment – Tier 1: Level 1/10]!]

"What does it do?!" I asked quickly, curiosity burning inside me.

"Hm, it’s hard to tell just from the name," she said while flexing her fingers experimentally. "Seems like it lets me do this!"

RUMBLE!

A giant palm made of solid ice and swirling divine ice energy emerged out of thin air high above the mountain and struck the snowy slope with tremendous force.

CRAAASH!

BOOOMMM!!!

A massive explosion of ice and stone sent deep cracks racing across the entire face of the mountain. Huge icicles immediately began growing everywhere, rapidly stabilizing the damaged area before anything could collapse further.

We all stood there in complete silence, watching the powerful scene unfold in pure awe.

"I’ll have to learn how to use that properly later," Aquarina said with a slightly embarrassed smile. "Maybe inside a dungeon."

"Yep, maybe inside a dungeon," I laughed nervously while glancing at the shocked faces around us. "S-Sorry, everyone!" I muttered. "It was just... um, a new skill!"

After some hurried explanations and the sharp, angry reprimands from Aquarina’s mother, we finally reached the Dungeon in question.

Lolth’s nest.

"We’re here," I sighed, feeling a heavy mix of anticipation and unease settle over the group.

"The Dragon’s Tomb..." my father sighed quietly as he reached out and touched the massive black gate that emanated both thick miasma and faint traces of ancient draconic fire energy. "This place... brings back so many memories. And it once wasn’t like this either."

"Huh?" I looked at Dad with clear confusion. "What do you mean— Oh! I remember you acting all sad about this place before. Dad, what was that all about?"

My mother looked at me carefully, and I noticed that everyone who had once been with them in their youth seemed to share different, awkward, and slightly guilty reactions.

"I guess it’s time we tell her," she said quietly, her voice soft but firm. "Allan, we can’t keep this a secret anymore."

"...I know," my father nodded slowly as he looked directly into my eyes. "Well, you see..."

He turned his gaze back to the black gate and made a deeply pained expression that showed he truly meant every word he was about to speak.

He was genuinely in pain right now.

Something so deeply ingrained in his heart... What could possibly be bothering him so much that it brought out such a raw and wounded expression on his face?

Dad...
