Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 2195: Reaching The Soul Altar, Finding Flamie

Chapter 2195: Reaching The Soul Altar, Finding Flamie

-----

As we moved across the wide open plain, it did not take long for monsters to appear out of thin air. This time they were massive draconic golems forged from gleaming gold and deep purple metal. Their heavy bodies reflected the strange light of the realm as they stomped forward with giant crushing claws. Each one unleashed deadly fiery breaths that scorched the ground and left trails of molten stone behind them.

The golems were extremely tough, their metal armor thick enough to shrug off ordinary attacks, but thankfully they moved slowly. They usually appeared in pairs of two or sometimes in groups of four. We took every fight carefully, stepping back whenever necessary and constantly watching the range of their wide breath attacks. We deliberately lured them into the perfect position for our strongest combined techniques. My mother stayed safely out of the front line, her hands glowing as she cast wave after wave of supportive buffs while firing powerful cannons of pure magic from a safe distance. At the same time the rest of us worked in perfect unison, using our techniques to cut through their thick metal armor and shatter the glowing cores hidden deep inside their chests.

The golems were very large and continued spawning near endlessly, so the battle quickly turned into a drawn-out war of attrition as we slowly advanced across the plain. I made sure to absorb a portion of their remains for recovery while carefully saving the rest for future projects. With each core I took in, my divine energy recovered a little more, allowing me to fight with greater intensity and less restraint.

I summoned my Divine Flames and began melting the golems outright with high-cost spells. Burning meteors rained down from the sky while waves of pure heat washed over the battlefield. My mother’s Divine Flow Acceleration buff completely changed the way I could fight. For the first time since entering this realm I was able to go all-out without constantly worrying about running dry too quickly. The difference was enormous. Every spell felt stronger, every swing of my weapon carried more force, and the fatigue that usually built up in long battles stayed far away.

Eventually the spawning rate of the golems began to slow. We cut down the final group one after another until the last metallic body collapsed in a heap of molten gold and purple fragments. The plain grew quiet except for the soft crackle of cooling metal and the sound of our own breathing.

And at last... we reached Flamie’s Soul Altar.

"Haaa... W-We did it..." I sighed in deep relief, feeling the weight of the long battle finally lift from my shoulders.

"Ugh..." my mother sighed as well, carefully touching her lower back. "My back hurts..."

"Dad, be careful..." my brother said, his voice filled with quiet concern. "Don’t touch it yet. Don’t do anything. We have to catch our breath first."

"I know... I won’t be impatient," my father nodded, sitting down with us as he looked at the altar with a mixture of longing and caution.

We calmed down, relaxed our tense muscles, and slowly healed ourselves with elixirs and gentle healing magic. The soft glow of the spells washed over our wounds and washed away the last traces of exhaustion. After resting for some time we stood back up again and walked together toward the altar.

"Here we are," I said, looking around carefully. "Looks like no more monsters, thankfully."

"So what... what’s going on with this?" my brother asked, staring at the stone structure. "Where’s Flamie?"

"That’s a good question," my father nodded, his eyes never leaving the altar. "I am wondering the same thing, honestly. Where is my Flamie? I can feel his soul here but... he’s sealed inside this stone."

"Shall we break it then?" I asked.

"B-Break it?! Is that safe?!" my brother asked quickly, his voice rising with worry.

"Hmm, I don’t know," I admitted. "Dad, touch it."

My father nodded and reached out, placing his hand gently against the surface of the altar. His eyes suddenly widened and began to glow with an intense light.

"T-This is...?!"

As he groaned in disbelief, he slowly pulled his hand away.

I walked toward him, concern clear in my voice. "What’s wrong?"

"Did you see something?" my mother asked, stepping closer.

"Dad?" my brother asked, his expression filled with worry.

My father nodded silently. "Yeah, I saw. I saw something. It was shocking but it was Flamie... or... well, sort of."

"Sort of?" I asked, waiting for him to continue.

"I saw Flamie’s memories, his life, everything. It reproduced right in front of my eyes. I don’t know how else to describe it other than... insane. I was... I was having a hard time calculating or even imagining what I was seeing," he said, his voice still shaking slightly from the experience. "But it is indeed incredibly crazy in every sense of the word!"

"Hmm..." I nodded thoughtfully. "Mom?" I asked, turning to her. "What do you think we should do?"

"I am lost," she admitted, shaking her head. "Flamie has been dead for years... but what your father says might hold some important information. Perhaps Flamie has been reduced to something unique. He cannot just be a soul. His soul passed away, remember?"

"Yeah," my father nodded in agreement. "What remains are his leftover thoughts, perhaps... resentment. Within his corpse, which Lolth ate, and after she evolved..."

"All of that mass that was ’him’ gathered here and crystallized for a reason," I said, the pieces slowly falling into place in my mind. "Maybe the real Flamie passed away but... wait. Perhaps... I see!" I gasped as the realization struck me. "I think I know what’s going on...!"

Everyone looked at me with confused expressions. "What do you mean?" my father asked.

"I believe this is similar to some other things we’ve seen or experienced before," I explained carefully. "This is an Inheritance...! Flamie’s inheritance!"

"?!"

Everyone was left speechless for a moment.

Why would Flamie leave an inheritance?

It sounded crazy at first, but when you put everything together it started to make sense.

"He did the same thing that others have done before, leaving a piece of their soul and power sealed somewhere," I continued. "I believe that was the purpose of the dungeon... dad. It was actually something he left for you."

"..." My father remained in shock, staring at the altar as if seeing it for the first time. "R-Really...?" He touched the stone again, his voice soft and almost pleading. "Flamie... please... tell me... what should I do?"

As he closed his eyes and let out a long sigh...

Suddenly a voice answered. It was gentle, child-like, and full of pure innocence.

"Allan... Please... don’t be sad..."

"F-Flamie?!"

The altar began to tremble lightly. A faint presence, warm and familiar, spread outward and filled the air around us.

"You have to move on... I’ve left this piece of me here... for you..."

My father shook his head slowly, emotion clear in his voice. "I’m too old to receive any inheritance. It would go to waste..." He turned and looked at Ignatius. "Flamie... would you like to give it to someone else? Someone who’s still growing... someone that you might even consider your younger brother?"

"Younger... brother...? Oh!"

Flamie’s voice echoed softly, and the warm presence shifted, moving toward Ignatius’s direction.

Ignatius’s mouth opened wide in pure surprise. "Hah?! A-Are you talking about me?!"
