Chapter 414: PLAN TO DEVOUR SUPER CLUSTERS
Chapter 414: PLAN TO DEVOUR SUPER CLUSTERS
"My stand remains," Lilith said firmly, her voice cutting through the lingering tension in the void.
"I will help you, as long as my two sons are spared." She crossed her arms, her crimson eyes locking onto Aaron’s with unyielding resolve.
Aaron clicked his tongue in mild irritation.
"Tsk. I badly want to kill Nick, you know? But oh well, it will be fun having someone to annoy once in a while," he agreed to her terms, a reluctant smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"But," he added, his tone sharpening like a drawn blade, "should they desperately want death by their actions, then I will go ahead and kill them."
The warning hung heavy in the air, the sealed space feeling even more confined, the dead planets orbiting silently as if bearing witness to the fragile pact forming between them.
"Noted," Lilith agreed, nodding once. Her aura flickered briefly, a subtle wave of dark energy that warmed the cold void around her, carrying the faint, seductive scent of brimstone and ancient desires.
She didn’t flinch at the caveat; instead, a calculating gleam entered her eyes, assessing the man before her anew.
"Alright," Aaron said, straightening his posture amid the drifting debris of the obliterated sun.
"Now, how can you offer your help? I need to devour two super clusters without having to face the Sovereigns directly." He explained his immediate goal, his mind already racing ahead, mapping out vulnerabilities and timelines in the vast cosmic chessboard.
Lilith tilted her head, curiosity etching faint lines on her flawless features.
"Why is that? You have the lord of the eternal night. Why can’t you just forcefully take it?" she asked in confusion, her voice laced with genuine bewilderment.
If her memory served her right, and it always did, the lord of eternal night was never one to resort to schemes.
True might had always been his way of doing things, a relentless force that crushed opposition under sheer power rather than cunning maneuvers.
She remembered the echoes of old battles, the scent of blood and ozone from wars long past, and wondered at this shift in approach.
"I want to do things my way," Aaron replied, his eyes narrowing with determination.
"Plus, I want to be involved in the conflict when that time comes, not take some front-row seat."
He crossed his arms, shadows coiling tighter around his frame like protective serpents, the cool touch of darkness grounding him amid the endless expanse.
The idea of sitting idle while others fought grated against his core, a burning need for personal agency fueling his words.
"Very well," Lilith said, accepting his reasoning with a slight incline of her head.
Her dark hair swayed gently in the weightless void, catching faint glimmers from the dying stellar remnants.
"Then perhaps I have a way to offer you a super cluster. Although you will need the lord of the eternal night’s strength."
She paused, her smile returning, enigmatic and promising, as if unveiling a hidden treasure from the depths of her ancient knowledge.
"But before that," she continued, her tone shifting to one of practical advice, "I think you should consider using this face of yours." She gestured vaguely at his features.
"Not everyone can trace the resemblance like me, but there are some Sovereigns with sharp eyes like Odin, and sharp, deliberate minds like Baal."
Aaron absorbed her words, the warning sinking in like a chill seeping through his veins.
"I see," he muttered, sighing in frustration.
"Then I guess I can’t go on with this plan." Disappointment flickered in his eyes, the shadows around him darkening as if echoing his mood, the void’s cold embrace suddenly more biting.
"Actually, you can," Lilith informed him, her voice lightening with a hint of mischief.
"You just need the help of a certain mischievous god to fix it for you." She leaned in slightly, her aura warming the space between them.
"Great," Aaron said, exasperated.
"Having the god work for me will be the chore now, then, I guess." He ran a hand through his hair, the gesture betraying a rare moment of weariness amid his unyielding resolve.
"Actually, that’s quite easy," Lilith explained, her smile widening with insider knowledge.
"You already have the god with you, but convincing him shouldn’t be that hard if you show him the big bad wolf. He is a god quick at switching sides." Her eyes sparkled with amusement, recalling tales of betrayals and alliances forged in the fires of opportunism.
"Loki?" Aaron asked, piecing it together quickly.
"Yes, exactly."
"Then convincing him should be a walk in the park," Aaron said, a spark of relief easing the tension in his shoulders.
"Guess I don’t have to bother about that. Now, back to your suggestion, how can I devour a super cluster?" He leaned forward slightly, eager to delve into the details, the void’s silence amplifying his focused intensity.
"After the war, and the initial death of the lord of eternal night," Lilith began, her voice taking on a narrative tone, "some races suffered irreversible damage. And one of those races are the undead race."
She gestured vaguely toward the distant stars, as if painting the history across the cosmic canvas, the faint scent of her aura evoking memories of blood-soaked battlefields.
"How so?" Aaron prompted, his mystic eyes narrowing as he absorbed every word.
"He killed one of their Sovereigns Cronus," Lilith informed him, her expression darkening with the weight of ancient grudges.
"Leaving them with just one Sovereign to maintain a super cluster. Thanks to that, the undead race has been exploited by other top races, especially the god race." The words carried a bitter edge, the void feeling colder as she spoke of exploitation, the dead planets serving as grim metaphors for fallen empires.
"And how does that help our plight?" Aaron asked, his mind racing to connect the dots.
"Necros, the only Sovereign ruler of the undead race, will be visiting Mephistopheles soon to seek an alliance," Lilith explained.
"That’s going to leave his own realm unprotected and unguarded by a Sovereign ruler. That will make the super cluster easy to capture."
Her smile returned, sharp and knowing, the plan unfolding like a map of vulnerabilities in her mind.
