Chapter 443: WITNESS
Chapter 443: WITNESS
"I simply controlled your blood and pulled it towards me," Dracula explained nonchalantly, his voice smooth and matter-of-fact, as if manipulating the life essence of another being were as effortless as drawing breath in the dim, echoing chamber.
Lilith stared at him speechlessly, her words evaporating before they could form, leaving her mouth slightly agape in stunned silence.
She could do nothing but continue to stare at Dracula, her wide eyes reflecting a mix of awe and lingering fear, the crimson glow from his gaze still faintly illuminating her pale features.
"So, are we done here?" Lilith finally asked, her voice steadying as she deliberately shifted the topic, eager to steer away from the unsettling revelation.
Wrapping her head around the sheer absurdity of Dracula’s ability proved too overwhelming for her to dwell on, the concept sending faint shivers down her spine despite her composed exterior.
"Almost," Aaron muttered, a spark of excitement igniting in his eyes as he rubbed his hands together eagerly, his fingers intertwining with anticipation. "Now for the fun part."
Tapping into his profound control over space, Aaron began the intricate process of merging the entire super cluster together, his mind weaving invisible threads through the vast cosmic expanse.
It was a chore he had grown accustomed to over countless endeavors, though the scale here dwarfed his previous feats, the stars and galaxies bending to his will like fragile clay under a sculptor’s touch.
After what felt like an eternity of focused effort, Aaron successfully fused the spaces into a singular, cohesive mass, the fabric of reality humming with the strain of his manipulation.
Finally, with a deep, satisfying inhale, he devoured it whole, absorbing the immense energy into himself, the act leaving a hollow ache in the void where the cluster had once thrived.
With the entire super cluster now vanished, erased from existence in a blink, the endless void rushed in as it always did, filling the empty expanse left behind by Aaron’s audacious actions, a silent testament to his growing power.
"That’s 1/10," Aaron said, his eyes sparkling with mischievous glee, the corners crinkling as he imagined the chaos to come. "Now let’s see the Sovereigns’ reply to our little stunt."
"Since we’re done here, let’s leave," Dracula ordered, his tone brooking no argument, his crimson eyes scanning the now-barren cosmic backdrop with detached finality.
"I’m never going on a conquest with you again," Aaron clicked his tongue in mock annoyance, shaking his head as he channeled his energy to tear open a shimmering rift in the fabric of space. "You sucked the life out of it—literally."
And with that, they stepped through the portal, the rift closing behind them with a soft, echoing snap, transporting them all back to their respective destinations in a swirl of displaced stars and shadows.
Aaron returned to his dimly lit chambers, the familiar stone walls and velvet drapes welcoming him after he had played the role of a chartered vehicle, dropping off Dracula and Lilith at their desired locations with effortless spatial jumps.

"What are you doing in my room so early in the morning?" Aaron asked, his voice groggy as he spotted Loki staring intently at him, while he himself remained sprawled in the plush confines of his bed, the silken sheets tangled around his legs.
Still clinging to the habits of his long-past human life, Aaron had retired to bed after the exhausting ordeal of the previous night, the routine a comforting echo of mortality in his immortal existence.
Although he no longer required sleep to sustain his vampiric form, he continued to uphold the ritual diligently, finding a strange solace in the pretense of normalcy amid the chaos of his world.
"A super cluster has disappeared," Loki informed him, his sharp eyes narrowing suspiciously as he leaned against the ornate wooden bedpost, arms crossed over his chest.
"Oh," Aaron muttered casually, feigning a look of surprise that came off half-hearted at best, his laziness preventing him from mustering a more convincing performance.
"It was you, wasn’t it?" Loki pressed, his intense stare boring into Aaron like daggers seeking truth, the air in the room thickening with unspoken accusations.
"What makes you think it’s me?" Aaron asked, forcing himself up from the bed with a reluctant groan, his muscles stretching as he swung his legs over the edge.
"How did you do it?" Loki demanded, stepping closer with unyielding curiosity. "No, rather, who were you working with? I heard everything unfolded while the Undead Sovereign was away."
"Some things are best left unsaid," Aaron informed him cryptically, turning his attention to cleaning himself up, splashing cool water from a nearby basin onto his face to shake off the remnants of his feigned slumber.
He methodically cleaned himself, the water droplets tracing paths down his skin, refreshing his senses as Loki waited patiently behind, his presence a silent pressure in the spacious chamber.
Once ready, Aaron straightened his attire, and together with Loki,.who had lingered without complaint, they made their way out, striding through the shadowed corridors toward the governor’s office, the echo of their footsteps a rhythmic prelude to whatever awaited them.

"This is no longer looking funny," Odin declared, his voice booming through the grand hall like thunder rolling across stormy skies.
"We’ve lost an entire super cluster to someone we don’t even know or care about. We’ve been too laid back and allowed this threat to grow unchecked for far too long. It’s time we take drastic actions."
He addressed the other Sovereigns gathered around the massive, ancient table carved from star-forged stone, his anger etched visibly on his weathered face, the lines deepening like cracks in a mountain under seismic strain.
Once more, the Sovereigns had convened an impromptu meeting, the air thick with urgency and unspoken frustrations, all triggered by the inexplicable disappearance of yet another super cluster.
That loss represented a staggering 1/10 of the universe’s vast expanse, a chunk of reality vanished into oblivion, leaving behind only echoes of what once was.
"Do we have any witnesses this time?" a Sovereign asked, his tone sharp and laced with impatience, breaking the heavy silence that followed Odin’s outburst. "Or were they all wiped out, just like before?"
"It seems this time around, we do have one," Lucifer replied smoothly, his voice like silk gliding over razor blades, as he leaned back in his obsidian throne. "But I strongly believe this survivor was left behind deliberately, to serve as a messenger and nothing more."
The fallen angel’s crimson eyes flickered with calculated suspicion, his wings subtly twitching behind him, casting elongated shadows that danced across the hall’s ethereal walls.
"And where is this witness to the destruction of the super cluster?" Zeus demanded, his grip tightening on the armrests of his seat, sparks of lightning crackling faintly around his fingers.
The god of thunder wasn’t in his usual cheery and lecherous mood, his booming laughter absent, replaced by a stormy scowl that mirrored the turmoil brewing within the assembly, the weight of repeated failures pressing down like an unyielding storm cloud.
Suddenly, the massive doors of the Sovereign conference chamber burst open with a resounding crash, the hinges groaning under the force as a skinny, visibly shaken man stumbled in.
He lacked any semblance of confidence, his disheveled clothes hanging loosely on his frail frame, his hair matted and wild, his eyes darting erratically, he looked like someone who had utterly lost their grip on sanity, teetering on the edge of complete breakdown.
"Tell us," Baal commanded directly, his demonic form looming larger in the dim light, horns curling menacingly as he fixed the man with a piercing gaze. "What did you see?"
Its patience, like that of the rest of the assembled Sovereigns, was stretched thin, fraying at the edges, ready to snap under the mounting pressure of cosmic threats encroaching on their domain.
"I... I don’t know what I saw," the man stammered, his voice trembling like a leaf in a gale, his hands fidgeting uncontrollably at his sides. "I don’t have any memory about it—it’s all just... blank."
"What a waste of—"
"But I have a message from the Celestial Devourer," the man interrupted suddenly, his demeanor shifting in an instant, his eyes sharpening with unnatural focus, his posture straightening like a soldier snapping to attention, the transformation eerie and instantaneous in the tense hall.
