Chapter 546: DR BRAIN
Chapter 546: DR BRAIN
Nightflame continued to control Scar’s dream in silence, moving through the memories with quiet precision.
He searched deeper, pulling every useful piece of information he could find about this strange, broken universe.
The moment baby Scar had appeared in the defect universe, another external force had seized him.
A powerful pull dragged the infant through yet another rift.
Baby Scar suddenly found himself cradled in the hands of a mysterious being.
The figure’s face and entire form remained hidden, wrapped in shifting shadows and distortion.
No matter how hard Nightflame tried to focus, he could not make out any clear features.
Then everything changed.
Nightflame felt a direct, piercing stare aimed straight at him.
It was as if the being was looking not at the baby, but through the dream itself, directly at Nightflame.
"Hmm. If my simulation is right, which I am 100% sure it is, you must be going through his memory by now," the being said calmly. "More like a dream, right... Aaron?"
Nightflame froze in complete surprise.
Hearing Aaron’s real name spoken so casually was shocking enough.
But the fact that it was coming from somewhere in the distant past made it even more unsettling.
"I will get to it," the being continued smoothly. "Years from now, they will likely refer to me as the Mad One.
Probably because of the cheap miracles they watch me create. But my real alias will be Dr. Brain."
The voice carried absolute confidence, as though the being already knew every detail of the future.
"I know about you. A lot more than you will ever imagine," Dr. Brain added.
"You will have to meet me to find out. After all, you will be the one to free me from this cursed entity."
Without warning, the being abruptly disrupted the entire dreamscape.
The controlled memories shattered like fragile glass. Nightflame was cut off completely, ejected from Scar’s mind in an instant.
He returned to the real world with a serious expression etched across his face.
The grey rubble around him felt heavier now. The air carried a new tension.
Whoever this Dr. Brain was, Nightflame knew he had to find out everything about him, and as fast as possible.
---
Unlike Nightflame, Aqua did not find himself in the defect universe.
The moment he materialized, the first thing he saw was a colossal being, a hundred times larger than any titan he had ever imagined.
Compared to this giant, Aqua felt no bigger than a single bacterium.
"Now, this isn’t cool," Aqua muttered under his breath, staring up in disbelief.
He extended his senses outward and realized almost every being in this universe was the same enormous size.
The entire world felt warped and overwhelming.
Things grew even stranger when he noticed a tiny bacterium floating nearby, perfectly the same size as him.
Millions more drifted lazily through the air all around him, completely inactive.
The colossal being closest to Aqua suddenly took a deep breath.
Thousands of bacteria were sucked inward like dust in a storm, and Aqua was pulled along with them.
Caught completely off guard, he found himself tumbling straight into the titan’s mouth and down through its massive throat.
He tried to navigate inside the giant, veering away from the lungs at the last second. Instead, he slid down the esophagus and straight into the stomach.
"Well, this is so not what I signed up for," Aqua muttered, annoyance rising in his voice.
"Now to get out of here," he thought, already scanning for an exit.
He flew toward the esophagus once more, but his escape was cut short.
Thick clumps of food particles came rushing down from above, forcing him back into the churning stomach.
"A perfect time to eat," Aqua grumbled in growing irritation.
With the new food now filling the space, the stomach began secreting dilute acid that burned through the air.
"Since you don’t want me out the easy way," Aqua thought, eyes narrowing, "we have to go the hard way."
He refused to leave the being’s body through the usual disgusting route. He was not about to suffer that kind of embarrassment.
Controlling the acid with his power, Aqua forced every drop of it back up the esophagus.
The colossal being’s body reacted instantly. Its brain triggered a violent reflex, and the giant threw up with explosive force.
Aqua was hurled straight out into the open air once again.
He had kept himself perfectly clean by wrapping his body in a thin layer of aqua energy.
Not a single stain from the food or vomit touched him.
Back in the atmosphere, Aqua decided he would take no more chances.
He transformed at once into his colossal Leviathan form, a massive sea dragon of pure power and ancient grace.
In this new size, he could finally see the colossal being’s face clearly.
It was only a child, no older than ten, with a chubby body frame and round, soft cheeks.
The boy stared at Aqua in wide-eyed terror. Then he screamed at the top of his lungs.
"Mum!!!!! A demon!!!!" the young colossal yelled, scrambling away from the table where he had been eating.
"I’m not a demon," the Leviathan called out, but his voice sounded tiny and distant compared to the boy.
Even in his full Leviathan form, Aqua still looked like nothing more than a cockroach to the child.
"This is going to be a difficult universe to adjust to," Aqua grumbled in his Leviathan body, feeling thoroughly defeated.
The boy came running back moments later, dragging his mother behind him. She was an even larger being, towering over everything.
"Where’s the demon?" the mother asked, scanning the area.
"Over there," the boy pointed straight at Aqua.
"What’s that?" the mother asked, confusion clear in her voice.
"I’m Aqua," he replied, but his voice was far too small for either of them to hear.
"Kill first, question later," the mother thought.
She grabbed a massive canister of insecticide and sprayed it directly toward him.
"Yo!! Do not do that!" Aqua yelled in pure annoyance.
With a single thought, he took control of the chemical spray, stopping every droplet from touching him.
