There were quite a few changes in Burpe’s status. But the overall gist was that it was no longer the same Burpe he knew.

The passive skill, Possession Unleashed, made Xu Feng understand that Burpe would constantly be controlled by the Phantasia Spirit. The fact that it wasn’t active meant that as long as Raiza willed for it, Burpe would become suppressed and incapable of having any freedom.

To make up a lie from scratch was difficult. But to make up a lie mixed with 9 true and 1 false, it was beyond easy.

This was especially so when Raiza existed for who knows how long?

To spot the 1 false out of 10 words... not even Xu Feng could do it with such a lack of information.

"Since you’re the Phantasia Spirit and the original protector of the sea. Why are you trying to tell me not to eliminate the corrupted sea monsters?" Xu Feng’s eyes turned serious as he asked.

"Arthur mentioned that once monsters were corrupted by the Abyssal Tide, they were a goner."

"Arthur was merely ignorant." Raiza suddenly said. "The reason why Arthur mentioned they were a goner was because he and the others had no way of eliminating the Abyssal Tide that corroded deep inside the monsters. But I am different. As long as I absorb enough power, I can eradicate the Abyssal Tide’s corruption."

"What power do you need to absorb?"

"Naturally, it’s the Abyssal Tide!"

Raiza rolled its eyes and glanced at the outside windows.

"The Abyssal Tide existed long before I and the Abyssal Eye were born. To clarify, we both hailed from the Abyssal Tide." He said melancholy.

Upon hearing that, Xu Feng made a mental note to himself.

Based on his words, the Abyssal Tide was the mother of the Abyssal Eye and the Phantasia Spirit.

And in such a setting, it usually meant that both parties wished to devour the other to increase their power and influence further.

’Want to use me as a pawn?’ Xu Feng sneered inwardly.

Don’t these people ever remember that a pawn in promotion could become anything except for the king piece?

Very well, he might as well play along for now.

He had no goodwill toward this Phantasia Spirit, nor will he trust him either. At most, he would just believe around 20% of their words.

The only thing it triggered was brightening a certain radius of the area and decreasing the monsters’ attributes. As for the area that was still darkened, the monsters’ attributes had risen tremendously, making them more difficult to kill.

Even with the power of the hydro cannon, it required a minimum of 7 shots, all on the critical flesh points.

"Burope~" Burpe saluted in response, seemingly agreeing to another firing competition.
