Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1206: Acquisition

Chapter 1206: Acquisition

While Xu Feng stopped her from unbuttoning her shirt, Tess mistakenly thought that he preferred the deed to be done privately.

"I understand." She stood up and held his hand.

"We can head to a private room to complete the deal. I just hope you can sign a contract agreeing that once the deed is done, you will help us."

"I have no interest in making love with you." Xu Feng flatly replied and clarified the misunderstanding.

"Since you were this determined, I also decided to forget the past."

Instantly, Tess was dumbfounded and wondered what kind of play he was trying to do.

She had already forgo her pride and was willing to sleep with him in exchange for survival.

Why did he suddenly claim that he didn’t want her?

Was he trying to find more men to taste her instead, as humiliation?

’Forget it... I’ll just take it as a nightmare.’ Tess shut her eyes and nodded.

"I understand. I’ll make sure to be ready to serve many men." She said with much reluctance and bitterness. Time was truly running out for them. Too many people were eagerly waiting to devour Green Life Corp.

She couldn’t disappoint Sylvan’s trust and allow the company to fall under her hands.

"What do you mean by serving many men?" Xu Feng twitched his face and questioned. "I’ve already said I will forget about the past, so what nonsense are you spouting?"

"Aren’t you trying to humiliate me further by having other men insult me?"

"What kind of sick joke was that?"

Xu Feng was truly baffled and wondered if Tess had also watched many short dramas full of brain-dead plotlines.

Even as an example, if he really wanted Tess, he would do the deed himself.

Why in the world would he beckon for other men to taste her?

That was just plain disgusting as a fetish!

If it was a woman he wanted, then no other men were allowed to touch her in an intimate manner.

"Listen, I was only infuriated by your President, and not you." Xu Feng explained.

"If I really wanted revenge, then I’d be looking for Sylvan." He had long investigated and realized the move to reject them was solely decided by Sylvan.

However, he heard that Sylvan had been hospitalized since his failed decision.

With that being said, Xu Feng also gradually forgot about them.

Karma had already struck at them, so he had no intention of pouring more salt into their wounds. After all, he didn’t have an irreconcilable grudge and feud against them.

To him, they were merely a passing Chapter of his new life in the current timeline, and nothing more.

"Then what do you want from me?" Tess asked. She had already committed this far. She needed his help to salvage Green Life Corp.

At this moment, only the Vanguard Guild was capable. Moreover, the discovery of their town’s training hall could affect a person’s body in real life was already being spread among the inner circle.

Some had tried to mimic or copy the training elsewhere, but received zero results.

In other words, this was a secret that only the Vanguard Guild was capable of doing for now.

As long as the Green Life Corp could latch onto this gold mine, they were destined to reverse their predicament.

"I find it difficult to trust someone who has made a terrible decision in the past." Xu Feng calmly said.

"We’re willing to make amends—"

"Let me finish first."

He halted her from speaking too fast.

"What I mean is that I want to acquire Green Life Corp, making it one of my subsidiaries." He explained and continued, "The rights and management will still be with you. I only want to acquire it as a guarantee that there would be no betrayal or backstabbing."

’An acquisition?!!’ Startled, Tess didn’t anticipate this condition.

"What? You’re unwilling?" Xu Feng mused and reminded her, "If I recall, the shareholders in your company are desperately dumping out the stocks. It’s about to reach the mark of being delisted."

Silent, Tess was taken aback. How did he know about their shareholders secretly dumping out stocks?

Their actions were discreet, and she had been doing her best to buy them back to avoid letting the public know. Till now, her people were still struggling to buy out the dumped stocks, but the funds were starting to run low.

Once the funds were completely run out, it wouldn’t take even a minute for others to realize their company was falling. By then, not even a saint could save them unless they were willing to cough up billions.

However, who would be willing to invest that much money in a dying and worthless company?

After a while, Tess finally inquired, "What will you do once the company becomes a subsidiary of the Vanguard Guild?"

"A restructure is definitely necessary." Xu Feng stated. "There are too many leeches and incompetent people in the company. If it weren’t for them, the Green Life Corp wouldn’t have fallen to such a state."

"I’m also incompetent." She smiled bitterly. She had no intention of shifting the blame to someone else. It was her fault for not stopping it or salvaging the drastic situation in time.

"You aren’t wrong." He nodded in agreement. "If you were bold enough like you were today, then your company would at least survive the crisis, albeit it would no longer be of significance."

Xu Feng wasn’t trying to brag or flex his strength. But people weren’t foolish, especially those who could build their company from nothing.

Although there were still some overconfident individuals, the failure to siege or damage the Vanguard Guild was evident to everyone.

A mere upstart guild?

Whoever still believed that was the delusional idiots who refused to accept the outcome!

The Green Life Corp was like a hot potato right now.

No matter who wanted to place their hand on it, they would be burned heavily.

"If I’m not wrong, you must have found others beforehand to lend a hand, but got rejected ruthlessly, right? And some of them even suggested sleeping with them for a glimpse of hope?" Xu Feng asked coolly.
