Chapter 1222: Improved Acting
Chapter 1222: Improved Acting
Although the Vanguard Guild didn’t lack any distribution in terms of raw materials, it was indeed quite time consuming.
The time spent in distributing could easily disrupt the members from training and grinding.
Since that was the case, he might as well alleviate the members’ pressure slightly by granting distributing rights to another guild.
"You’re willing to offer such distribution rights to our Phoenix Guild?" Iceheart’s eyes widened in shock.
Who didn’t know that the raw materials from naval islands were extremely costly nowadays?
Ever since the Miracle Pavilion lost its footing in the Dragon Wind Empire, followed by a ban from all shipment, the raw materials in islands had shifted to the Vanguard Guild’s territory.
Even though there were some other guilds who wanted to devour the large pie, they were all blasted away because of the Vanguard Guild’s warship.
Unless a guild managed to have an equivalent ranked warship, they were all nothing but cannon-fodder for the Vanguard Guild.
Therefore, as time went by, it became unanimously agreed that the naval island was off-limits.
Nobody wanted to face the hydro cannon and lose their hard earned experience points.
Not to mention, the current Vanguard Chamber of Commerce offered many exclusive items.
If one accidentally offended the guild and became banned from purchasing the items from them, then they would really be crying a river of tears.
"Yes, so do you agree with it?" Xu Feng asked impatiently.
He was already being generous to take some extra time to converse with her out of gratitude.
"Of course, we agree!" Iceheart readily agreed on behalf of the Phoenix Guild.
Only a buffoon would hesitate and lose the deal!
"Good, then contact our Guild Captain for further detail." Xu Feng said and promptly logged out, giving her zero chance to reply.
Seeing how quick he left, Iceheart was frozen on the spot.
"Am I that unsightly?" She twitched her mouth in disbelief. Anyone else would be doing their best to interact with her further.
Yet Xu Feng was the complete opposite.
Not only was he impatient with her, but he also left as soon as he had the chance.
Such a situation should have made her feel aggrieved to be treated in such a manner. Yet somehow, she found her heart pounding rapidly.
"Oh my god... I can’t be that so-called masochist term, right?" Iceheart frowned and panicked. She still recalled being called by such a term from Xu Feng during the large-scale dungeon raid.
"No, it must be an illusion." She hurriedly shook her head and denied it adamantly.
To avoid thinking about this nonsense any further, Iceheart promptly exited the area while messaging her Guild Leader about the distribution deal.
...
Back in the real world, Xu Feng removed his virtual helmet and gave a quick message to Veronica, informing her about the distribution rights. That way, he wouldn’t forget about the matter and create an awkward misunderstanding scenario.
"What a waste of time." He pursed his lips. He couldn’t understand why Iceheart demanded a meet-up when they could have totally done it through simple message exchange.
It was so inefficient!
A few minutes later, Xu Feng arrived at the shooting scene and noticed it was the clashing scene between Evelyn, the Female Emperor, and Chen Kexin bodyguard character.
—
Imperial Court
"You have a lot of nerves showing yourself here, Kexin!" Evelyn said sarcastically.
"I am not here as an enemy of another country." Chen Kexin responded calmly.
"Then what are you here for?"
"I’m here on behalf of Young Master Feng."
"Young Master Feng? That bastard again?" Evelyn’s eyes narrowed. "Just what is so charming about him that every single one of you wants to side with him?"
"He saved my life." Chen Kexin flatly said.
"Moreover, he’s the one who gave me a sense of belonging. I am not interested in your attempt to control the dynasty, but let me say this. If you dare to harm Young Master Feng, then don’t blame me for being merciless!" She unsheathed her sword and pointed it at Evelyn.
"How dare you!" Almost immediately, Evelyn’s general, Wen Ling, unsheathed her sword in response.
"Do you take me as an invisible person?" Wen Ling hissed, her eyes narrowed in a cold light.
"General Wen Ling... I respect your loyalty, but that doesn’t mean I won’t target you." Chen Kexin scoffed. "Just like how you are loyal to your female emperor, I am loyal to only Young Master Feng!"
"Hmph, you must have been fucked senseless by that dandy playboy!" Wen Ling sneered coldly, finding her ridiculous. She was clearly love-stricken to a fool.
"Why mention it?" Contrary to being angry, Chen Kexin suddenly smiled and inquired, "Do you also want to have a taste of Young Master Feng’s blade?"
She then glanced at Wen Ling up and down before shaking her head.
"Unfortunately, I don’t think you’re Young Master Feng’s type. But I can plead with him to see if he would do some charity and take you in."
"You—"
SWOOSH!
Before Wen Ling could finish her words, Chen Kexin swung her sword and a fierce light passed right through. The pillar next to Wen Ling instantly exploded into multiple debris.
"I’ve said my piece already. The Young Master is still waiting for me." Chen Kexin sheathed her sword and vanished from the scene.
—
"CUT! Good take!" Carmen shouted and was impressed by Chen Kexin’s aura.
The exploding pillar was also timed perfectly by the crew members.
"Wen Ling’s acting has improved since the audition." Xu Feng softly commented from the sideline. Her expression and dialogue delivery were smooth and natural.
"Indeed, you should also stop slacking off too much, lest you might be overshadowed by everyone else." Behind him was Li Sheng Xuan who quickly warned about being overtaken by others.
Ding Xiao Ying was also tagging along and nodded in agreement. Her hands were holding onto some BBQ beef skewer, its aroma spreading through the set slowly.
"Where did you get those BBQ beef skewers?" Xu Feng raised an eyebrow.
He recalled the hotel didn’t have such food in their menu.
Moreover, they couldn’t possibly be able to cook something this aromatic.
His mouth was practically drooling slightly, which goes to show their cooking skills were above average.
