Chapter 1283: Global Manhunt Part 7
Chapter 1283: Global Manhunt Part 7
Looking at the group of predators’ gazes from above, Xu Feng wanted to verify if they were adamant in hunting them down.
"Stop with your nonsense! We’ll give you 1 minute to think carefully, Guild Leader Lin Feng! Hand over the loot or prepare to be swarmed to death!"
"You’re barred from teleporting or escaping! This is the end of your arrogance!"
"Hmph, to monopolize the majority of resources in Twilight Glades! This is your retribution!"
Shortly after the crowd expressed their fury, some of them directly fired a few offensive spells at Xu Feng.
They didn’t even bother to give out any warning shots and tried to take the initiative by surprise.
Unfortunately, they had severely miscalculated if they believed Xu Feng didn’t put up any protection.
As soon as someone in the crowd launched an offensive strike at Xu Feng, the mechanism beneath the ground automatically triggered.
In the blink of an eye, the healing grenades were hurled toward them.
KABOOM!
The explosion effect didn’t create any mushroom cloud, but the collective players were quick to notice a status ailment debuff.
"A corrosion effect??!" A healer raised their alarm and informed the rest to hurry up and dispel the corrosion.
Needless to say, not everyone wished to dispel the corrosion immediately.
After all, the corrosion only takes away a small percentage of their overall health points. It hadn’t gotten to the point where they must tread carefully.
Moreover, these players didn’t rush over here without any intel.
"Don’t use your supporting or healing spells carelessly! It’s said that the Guild Leader Lin Feng has some abnormal ability as a healer that could reverse our healing!"
"The corrosion is definitely a trap to force us to heal!"
"Right, how could we forget about that part? This Guild Leader Lin Feng really is vicious!"
As the crowd calmed their emotion and quickly composed themselves to retaliate in a concise manner, Carmen’s brows furrowed.
"Guild Leader, they don’t seem to be falling into your trap." She said in a somewhat disappointed tone. She only realized that Xu Feng’s advice was extremely right when she saw how their enemies reacted.
Once your skills are exposed and known to the public, it is truly difficult for anyone to take advantage and catch the other party off guard.
"It’s within my expectations." Xu Feng commented. If these players really panicked and fell for such a trivial trick despite reaching such a high level, then they might as well bang their heads on the wall.
Nobody who could advance to Tier 2 or make their way up here was someone Xu Feng could underestimate.
The Divine World was a torturous journey. Anyone who perceived it as another MMO game was destined to have no achievement.
"Stop acting cool and do something about it." Carmen stomped her foot when she noticed he was showing off again. Ever since the short drama came into play, she realized Xu Feng always wanted to act aloof and wait till the last second to make his move.
It was such a bad habit and a complete far cry from his earlier days, which were extremely decisive and less talkative.
"I’m not acting cool..." Xu Feng felt wronged. He really wasn’t trying to converse with them or act aloof.
The enemies this time were far too much and of a higher standard compared to the past.
He needed ample time to analyze and pinpoint the priority targets.
Did they think being a commander of a war was some easy walk in the park?
If that were the case, then many people would have replaced him in his position.
’Where did these many Tier 2 players pop out from? It can’t be that they were all coincidentally near the area and rushed over here, right?’ He had always kept in check the other guilds’ progress.
Although their leveling speed was inferior to Carmen’s, they were still able to catch up and minimize the margin in the gap.
Naturally, it was also thanks to their large amount of funds and resources.
Without these two factors, the Tier 2 players should dream about advancing to Tier 2 this quickly. Moreover, their promotion was relatively easy because they didn’t hold any valuable hidden class or didn’t even have one to begin with.
Hidden Classes were nice, but they must suit their own playstyle. Otherwise, forcefully changing to a hidden class would be detrimental to their progress.
This was the problem for many players, but not for Xu Feng, who basically had memorized most of the amazing hidden classes.
While Xu Feng continued to inspect the enemies, the latter never stopped their attacks.
Since they had already shed their pretenses, there was no need for them to be polite anymore.
After all, the longer the time went by, the more slices in the cake they must share with others.
"Guild Leader, we’re about to run out of grenades." Carmen frowned when she received messages from the other party members. The grenades were indeed useful, but the enemies were also extremely cunning.
Whenever they saw a grenade being hurled at them, they would immediately switch to a defensive stance.
Even though it was clear that the enemies had formed an alliance temporarily, their synchronization and cooperation were adequate to confront their retaliation.
"Hmm, looks like these people are determined to claim our heads this time." Xu Feng murmured. He reckoned that some people lurking in the dark had long been planning to siege their town.
They were probably waiting for an opportunity, and this Global Manhunt was simply a godsend to them.
"So should I make a move?" Carmen inquired. She stretched her fingers and neck, clearly ready to hop in to kill a few.
"No, thank you." Unfortunately for her, Xu Feng outright rejected her suggestion. "You’ve taken all the spotlights during the mutant boss raid. It’s time for me to take the spotlight."
"Tch, stingy Guild Leader." Carmen pouted and found him very much like a scumbag.
"I’ll cook dinner for you once this global manhunt ends."
"Did I say stingy? I mean, you got this, my dearest Guild Leader!"
