Chapter 1317: Film Festival Part 10
Chapter 1317: Film Festival Part 10
"Good evening, guests! I’m your host for today’s film festival, Edwin!" A host, introduced as Edwin, stepped onto the main stage and began making the opening ceremony speech.
While Edwin was full of enthusiasm, the more he spoke, Xu Feng’s table was filled with randomness.
"Feng, you’re stuffing yourself too much."
Carmen finally decided to pay attention to him when she noticed he kept grabbing a bunch of food to eat.
"It’s just a boring speech..." Xu Feng responded and grabbed another pickled radish to eat. "Let me eat to pass the time."
"..."
Carmen smiled bitterly at his behavior. Was he doing this on purpose to get revenge on her?
Didn’t he know this was being live broadcast and the camera could pan to them anytime?
Just when Carmen held such a thought, she suddenly widened her eyes.
’Wait, if the camera does pan to us, then wouldn’t Feng capture the most attention with his act?’
Realization quickly dawned upon Carmen.
Even in such a venture, Xu Feng was actually thinking up ways to garner attention effortlessly.
As expected of her Guild Leader—boyfriend, she meant!
Without hesitation, Carmen quickly followed suit and picked up a few pickled radishes to eat as well.
However, she went above and beyond.
"Open wide, Feng." She picked it up and hoped to feed Xu Feng.
"Can the two of you not flirt?" Kara twitched her brows when she saw them resuming their intimate acts. Moreover, they were still in the film festival, which was being recorded live.
And just like that, Kara’s expression darkened.
"You two... are really shameless." Having realized that they were doing this for attention and traffic, she regretted being on the same table as them.
Who promotes and advertises themselves like this during a major film festival event?
She reckoned that only these two people who had no shame in their faces could possibly pull off such a ridiculous move.
’This niece of mine has really fallen. If I had told her she would behave in this kind of manner in the past to gather attention, she would have laughed it off.’ Kara shook her head.
She had learned about the Vanguard Guild’s shameless members, but it became evident that the shamelessness was hereditary.
As long as one joined the guild, regardless of their original personality, they would all turn shameless.
Just when Kara thought things couldn’t turn any more awkward, Xu Feng suddenly snapped his fingers and beckoned for a waiter.
The waiter approached their table and asked, "Is there something wrong, guests?"
"Yes, let me get a little bit of everything in the food menu. Have it delivered promptly. I’m starving." Xu Feng said without any ounce of awkwardness.
"F-Food menu??!" The waiter was dumbfounded on the spot. There was actually someone who wanted to order food at this type of event?
No, how in the world did you even find the mood to eat food?
Almost everyone else was either socializing or filled with anxiety for the upcoming award ceremony.
Maybe occasionally there would be people asking for their wine to be refilled, but none requested food.
"Don’t tell me your place has no food, right?" Xu Feng raised an eyebrow and questioned.
"Ah, no, I’ll inform the kitchen right away." The waiter snapped out of their daze and hurriedly responded. Although the request was very unexpected, they had no intention of judging them.
Who didn’t know the people who could have a seat at the table were someone they could not afford to offend?
As time went by, the host Edwin continued to blabber amidst a large group of waiters carrying trays of food to Xu Feng’s table.
Because nobody had ordered any food, Xu Feng’s table quickly attracted quite a bit of attention.
"Who are these people?" Some curious guests couldn’t help but glance toward their side.
Not everyone was present at the Twilight Star Hotel commotion, so they failed to recognize Xu Feng and Carmen.
However, they certainly recognized Kara, who held a reputation in the entertainment industry.
"They were seated next to Miss Kara, so they’re bound to be someone special."
A few seconds later, some of the guests did some internet research and realized Xu Feng was currently one of the leading actors in the short drama category.
But what truly caught their attention was his ties in the Divine World.
The series of achievements stemming from the Vanguard Guild had finally interested them.
Just like how most nature was.
It only takes a little spark to create a big fire.
In the span of a few minutes, information relating to Xu Feng was spread amongst them. Following his eccentric behavior of feasting at a supposed sacred event, his actions were quickly being posted online.
Even the live feed audiences were laughing loudly, especially when some of them had long recognized Xu Feng’s appearance.
<Actor Feng is really treating the event like his home. Having a feast while everyone was just focusing on the host and nodding like dummies.>
<What Actor Feng? I only know him as the Honorary Elder of Vanguard Guild, Cool Wind.>
<The Vanguard Guild? You mean the upstart guild that toppled quite a few first-rate guilds and even had a bout with some Super Guild?>
<Still calling it an upstart guild? Didn’t you know the Miracle Pavilion suffered immensely because of this so-called upstart guild? I’ve heard even Luther was fired and placed on the blacklist to never be used.>
With the traffic quickly rising because of Xu Feng, the camera people started to pan the focus more on Xu Feng.
Soon, the attention started to shift to Xu Feng’s companion, aka Carmen.
Upon closer inspection, the viewers were quickly bedazzled by her beauty-like appearance.
"Feng, they’re all treating me like a flower vase." Carmen quickly pouted when she glanced at her phone. The majority of the comments were about her beauty and wanting to be her companion.
"Flower vase? More like a honey trap." Xu Feng cleared his throat and corrected. A flower vase was harmless, but Carmen was the total opposite of harmless when provoked or enraged.
