With players’ previous crime records wiped clean, the Divine World System was essentially giving them another chance to live.

In the first version, they could be labeled as criminals because they didn’t understand the severity. So in this second version, they would have the chance to start anew.

As long as they really decided to live in a new light, the Divine World shall pardon and forgive them.

However, if they were to commit the same crime or follow their old ways, then the system would no longer be generous to them.

As for the reason?

It was very simple!

Players were now being called to war!

The ferociousness of the Colossuses had been severely underestimated, and NPCs were starting to have a headache during their confrontation.

With the emergence of players, otherwise known as Immortals, in the NPCs’ eyes, choosing to assist the Colossuses, a desperate measure was created.

From now on, players were granted benefits for joining the war and assisting the NPCs to repel the Colossuses’ advances.

And to prevent any neutral or hostile players from running amok, Teleport Platforms were officially restricted.

To simplify, the large-scale movement of players between cities or towns was no longer viable in this second version.

Xu Feng reckoned players were probably panicking over this issue.

Unfortunately for them, he was destined to take the lead this time.

Star Falls City, Adventure Guild

Upon returning to Star Falls City, Xu Feng wasn’t surprised that the city had undergone a tremendous change. It was no longer the desolate and rundown city.

Ever since its promotion to a Primate City, everything had gone up.

"Oh, isn’t this our busy Baron?" A feminine voice echoed from afar.

Xu Feng chuckled and turned to the source. "Not as busy as you, Jessica."

Jessica, an NPC who could be said to be the second person in charge of the Adventure Guild in Star Falls City.

By now, her influence had soared to a frightening peak. It would take a lot of effort for new players to even get an interaction with her.

Jessica sensed that the crowd in the guild seemed to grow larger. Thus, she suggested, "Let’s head to a private room to discuss."

Xu Feng nodded and agreed with the arrangement.

Needless to say, when some of the nearby players spotted Jessica guiding a masked player to a private room, they started gossiping.

"Could that be the Vanguard Guild Leader?"

"It could, but also not at the same time. Besides the Vanguard Guild, there are also some guilds stationed in Star Falls City."

"You have a point. Jessica only entertained those with a high reputation or noble class."

Although the Vanguard Guild was the undisputed Overlord of Star Falls City, they couldn’t possibly control the whole city.

While this incident was quickly brushed aside by the players who were more focused on the new changes in the update, Xu Feng arrived at the private room.

"So, what does our busy baron wish to do?" Jessica asked in amusement. Her intelligence and human-like behavior had risen to a new height. She already knew Xu Feng came with some other intention and spoke her mind aloud.

"The Colossuses." Xu Feng also didn’t beat around the bush and stated his desire.

"I wish to have the authority to form a military team to confront the Colossuses."

"Form a military team?" Jessica was stunned momentarily. As expected of someone like Xu Feng.

Either he didn’t show up to cause trouble, but the moment he did, it was definitely something major, as always.

"Do I look like the City Magistrate?" Jessica twitched her mouth and questioned. Had it been some other person who requested this kind of outrageous thing, she would have long thrown them out of the Adventure Guild.

"You aren’t that old man." Xu Feng flatly responded. "You’re the beautiful administrator in charge of Star Falls City’s Adventure Guild.

Unfazed by his flattery remarks, Jessica emitted a soft sigh.

"Alright, show me something of worth." She demanded in an annoyed tone. Having dealt with Xu Feng for a long time, she knew he wasn’t the type to speak something like this without any cards in his hand.

"Haha, Jessica is always so sharp-eyed." He chuckled and retrieved the Azure Horse Mount from his inventory.

"What do you think of this baddie? I can have it reproduced with just a little bit of money and supplies for a large army."

Jessica’s eyes widened in surprise. Her body trembled slightly as she extended her hand, hoping to touch the item. Still, before she could touch it, she stopped herself.

She cannot afford to lose the momentum to him time and time again.

However, it was a little bit too late for her.

Her initial reaction had already made her lose the negotiation.

She glanced at him subtly and knew she was caught once again. ’Damn it... this despicable man always knows how to entice me.’

Right now, there is a lack of Mount problems circulating within the cities.

Teleport Platforms were highly restricted. Not only was it to prevent spies from infiltrating and spreading harm, but it was also a countermeasure against the Colossuses strategy.

The Mount population had gradually decreased in the past years because of the Teleport Platform’s presence. But now, they needed to reintroduce the Mount as the priority traveling method.

With everyone needing Mounts to travel, the shortage outbreak had caused mayhem. Therefore, seeing Xu Feng bring out such a high-quality mount was like a godsend.

The only problem?

This Xu Feng was a cunning four-eyed who would suck your blood dry!

"Don’t look at me like that, Jessica. I’m very shy and innocent." Xu Feng smiled embarrassingly when he noticed Jessica staring at him too intently.
