Chapter 1328: Divine World Version 2 Part 4
Vanguard Guild Warehouse
Shortly after leaving the Adventure Guild, Xu Feng made his way to the warehouse to check on the inventory.
Every material that was required to produce the horses was retrieved from his storage.
The drastic decrease in the inventory slot had alarmed Veronica, who video-called him.
"Guild Leader, someone is emptying out warehouse stocks. Is it Carmen again?" Veronica cried aloud and thought Carmen was squandering their guild’s wealth again.
It wasn’t the first rodeo in which Carmen took away many precious materials that nearly caused the guild’s operation to stagnate.
"Oh, it’s me this time." Xu Feng replied in a very casual manner.
"You were squandering the stocks?" Startled, Veronica narrowed her eyes suspiciously.
"Are you sure it’s you and not Carmen asking you on her behalf?" She continued, clearly refusing to believe his words. Erica had already told her in advance that these two were currently dating.
A couple’s words were never to be trusted!
"It’s true." Xu Feng flashed a bittersweet smile and proceeded to explain the matter regarding the horses.
He trusted Veronica, so there was no need to hide anything from her.
Moreover, he required her to start making plans to implement his vision quickly.
A few minutes later, Veronica was exasperated.
"You’re really something else." She had no choice but to give him a thumbs-up. At this moment, many players were still struggling to understand the changes in the second update.
Yet Xu Feng had already set up a foundation and even got a guaranteed promotion alongside an army camp exclusive for their use.
The army camp was a major turning point!
Because they could deploy the army in the camp at will, it meant that they could also use them to siege and sabotage fellow players’ towns.
They weren’t restricted in any range or area.
"Anyway, use the channel of our chamber of commerce to gather the required materials." Xu Feng instructed.
At this moment, Veronica was visibly stunned. She finally realized that the establishment of the chamber of commerce was prepared for this kind of situation.
Had it been in the past when they didn’t establish a chamber of commerce, then gathering these materials would have been a pain.
However, now she could simply exchange the items internally while paying the deposit without arousing any suspicions from anyone.
"It should take around half an hour, but I will continuously send over the material as soon as I get it," Veronica said.
"Thanks for the help." Xu Feng promptly ended the video call and began producing the Mount.
Time waited for no one.
Although Jessica didn’t pressure him on how long he needed to bring in the horses, the faster he brought them in, the more benefits he would gain.
After all, the current Empire lacked horses. Anyone who delivered lots of horses to them during this time would earn tremendous merits.
Xu Feng had no intention of giving other players the chance to gain this kind of merit.
’All of the merits and achievements are mine. The Vanguard Guild will monopolize the majority.’ He sneered inwardly.
Time quickly went by, and while Xu Feng was occupied in producing horses, the Tuning Bloom Guild had gone into a frenzy.
"DAMN IT!" An elder of the Tuning Bloom Guild exploded in fury. He rose up and smashed furniture left and right.
[System Notification: You have broken a porcelain vase! Penalty would be imposed!]
The elder ignored the system notification and continued to thrash the surrounding area.
"Where is that bastard Gordon at!" The elder screamed in rage. If it weren’t for Gordon’s greediness, which delayed the information from being passed on to the raiding team, would they be in such a position?
While the elder continued to roar in rage, the nearby Tuning Bloom Guild members were frightened.
Nevertheless, some of them were still gutsy enough to discuss the situation.
"Why is the elder losing his temper so much?" An unaware member asked curiously.
"Shh, don’t let the others hear your question." A more informed member advised them to lower their volume. "It’s said that the City Magistrate has been clamoring for horses or any type of mounts to be delivered to them. Those who deliver a great amount of high-quality mounts would be promoted."
Soon, another member chimed in and explained something he heard from the raid team. Apparently, their chance to rise was perpetually coming.
However, because of the Vanguard Guild’s robbing, their chance was no more.
Needless to say, this information was deliberately passed on to entice and irk the collective members to become motivated to seek revenge against the Vanguard Guild.
If a guild wanted to start a war, the most important aspect was morale.
As long as the morale was high, it didn’t even matter if they had a low member count. But if the morale was high and their member count was also at a substantial number, then victory was already at 60%.
Soon, news that their guild was preparing to have an all-out brawl against the Vanguard Guild was spread.
And through some secretive channel, the other Super Guilds and top-tier first-rate Guilds obtained news that the Vanguard Guild had a Mount Item.
The news spread like wildfire, and within a few hours, the negative news regarding the Vanguard Guild circulated on a global scale.
"Hey, have you heard? The Vanguard Guild is trying to monopolize the second version all to themselves!"
"Of course, I’ve heard about it. They obtained the Mount and wanted to screw everyone else over."
"Hmph, I’ve long known the Vanguard Guild was a bunch of shameless hooligans. Just a few days ago, their Honorary Elder even made a scene in the Film Festival by promoting their entertainment group."
As players continued to gossip and spread the Vanguard Guild was a bunch of blood sucking vampires, the actual guild leader remained aloof.
"Ahh... my money’s all gone now." Xu Feng glanced at the large number of Azure Horses and smiled bitterly. These were all accomplished after expending so many gold coins and effort.
