"This place is the center region of the Aetheria Empire?" Evelyn raised an eyebrow in astonishment. She glanced at the nearly empty streets, with barely anybody present.

"What do you think war does to a city?" Xu Feng chuckled. This kind of state was common.

Many were either hiding in their homes, or the men were all in the army, preparing and gearing up for war.

This was why Xu Feng never bothered to come to this area until now, when he received the token from General Henry. Without that token, they would really be heavily scrutinized and possibly detained regarding their motives.

That was time and money he would be losing if he really came here without any good authorization.

"Where are we headed?" Evelyn inquired, unsure of his objective.

"To get the auction matter down." Xu Feng glanced at her in confusion. "How did you get to this position without knowing the basics?"

"I have people to do this on my behalf." Evelyn rolled her eyes. She was rather dissatisfied with his somewhat cold attitude toward her.

Wasn’t it just a little bit of ignorance and some question asking?

"You’re the Guild Leader, so shouldn’t you have subordinates to do these tasks on your behalf?" She asked coolly. People in their position were often busy with more important things on their plates.

’I did, and they’re about to rebel for the amount of overtime.’ Xu Feng wanted to say those words aloud. Unfortunately, he had no interest in divulging his guild’s operation to Evelyn.

Sure, she was their business partner in both the real world and the Divine World, but that was about it.

He wasn’t going to reveal anything more than necessary to her.

Sometime later, the two of them entered a luxurious building.

"What business do the two of you have?" A nearby employee caught their side and approached them cautiously.

"I’m here to conduct business with your shop owner." Xu Feng directly flashed his token and replied.

Sure enough, the employee’s eyes widened in surprise when they saw the token.

’General Henry’s token.’ They thought and hurriedly complied.

"Please come inside and have a seat. I will inform the shop owner immediately." They continued and guided them to a comfortable table.

Xu Feng nodded and took a seat with a dominant aura befitting that of a Viscount.

Once they were seated, Xu Feng took the chance to enjoy the tea.
