Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1397: Sunrise Inner City Part 14

Chapter 1397: Sunrise Inner City Part 14

Five hours later...

All the Azure Horses’ mounts had been prepared, and the screening of the participants for the raid was also conducted.

It goes without saying that the elite teams all made the cut with their tremendous contribution, GMP, and combat experience.

"I think this is the first time we actually all worked together, right?" Lightning Blade glanced at the other elite team leaders and asked.

The elite team leaders were Blue Star (Star Team), Dark Night (Night Team), VenomPulse (Neo Team), and Lightning Blade himself from the Hex Team.

"We did work together, just not on the same scene." VenomPulse, who was a Berserker and chosen as the Main Tank (MT) for this raid, chuckled heartily.

Dark Night nodded in agreement. "I was extremely busy back then. I had to move from one location to another under a certain time limit."

"Who told you to be an Assassin?" Blue Star teased amusingly. "I was just a sentry defense turret. I just shoot my skills at a chill and relaxing spot."

As the other three heard about Blue Star’s taunting comment, they could only glance at each other for comfort.

None of them was situated at one station, unlike Blue Star.

How could they not be envious?

"What are you guys chatting so happily about?" Right at this moment, Crimson Heart arrived and asked.

"Ah, it’s Miss Crimson Heart." The four quickly turned around and greeted her in joy.

After all, most of their gears were repaired by Crimson Heart. Not to mention, any new invention of hers would be given to them for testing.

Although not every invention was great, the experience was nice, especially the privilege to use the items firsthand as opposed to others.

Thus, they were all very respectful and appreciative of Crimson Heart.

"You were also invited to participate in the raid?" Lightning Blade cupped his fist and inquired. He was somewhat surprised because almost every member in the guild knew that she leveled up through crafting and not dungeons or farming monsters.

There was no need for her to do any task either, especially when she would receive the latest gear by default from the guild’s warehouse.

"The Guild Leader mentioned that this raid would have exclusive and unique drop rates dependent on the player’s progress. So I was told to come here for a chance at more crafting blueprints." Crimson Heart explained.

"Exclusive and unique drop rates?!!"

Alarmed, all the elite team leaders glanced at each other in disbelief. They weren’t informed of this news.

When Crimson Heart noticed their dumbfounded expression, she realized she had a slip of the tongue.

’Whoops, it seems like the Guild Leader didn’t announce it to everyone.’ She took the chance of their distraction to secretly sneak away.

However, given everyone’s skills at present, it was obviously impossible to escape their perception.

Nevertheless, they all played along and pretended not to see anything. As if they would try to create any difficulties for Crimson Heart.

Shortly after Crimson Heart believed she had snuck away, the four elite team leaders looked at each other.

"Umm, I’ve heard nothing." VenomPulse was the first to speak up. He held his long blade and smiled silly.

"I only know how to tank and nothing else."

"Agreed, I only know how to assassinate the squishy." Dark Night readily took the cue and claimed he was a focused assassin with only one task in mind. All other external favors were automatically filtered.

And with that being said, the two returned to their respective groups.

"Can you believe this shamelessness?" Blue Star furrowed her brows as she turned to Lightning Blade.

Alas, she soon regretted her words when Lightning Blade actually pulled off an insane move.

His silhouette completely disappeared, which showed that he had logged out of the Divine World.

Rather than coming up with an excuse, Lightning Blade decisively exited the game and planned to hop back in sometime later to claim that he was absent at the time of the incident.

"..."

Blue Star twitched her mouth in utter disbelief.

"He’s a veteran, alright." She commented awkwardly. Lightning Blade was one of the few veterans who actually killed their way to join the Vanguard Guild.

These people were often referred to as veterans within the guild because of their decisiveness and combat talent to achieve the Vanguard Guild’s quotas.

While Blue Star was enlightened by these three shameless leaders, she was interrupted by a familiar member.

"Eh, where did everyone go, Team Leader?" Kailey approached her in confusion. She was certain that there were three other leaders here alongside Crimson Heart.

"They all had things to do." Blue Star lightly responded. She was stunned by their behavior, but she also wasn’t a fool to discuss the main reason.

"I see..." Kailey realized something must have happened, but she didn’t pry further.

"Then, Team Leader, please sign this confidential contract, and you can head over to the checkpoint shown on the map later on." She forwarded a contact agreement for Blue Star to sign.

"How amusing." Blue Star smiled lightly. Her subordinate, Kailey, was still under her command on paper, but from the looks of it, that didn’t seem to be the case anymore.

Even though Kailey stayed in Star Team and addressed her respectfully, the truth was that she was now working for Veronica. Something sensitive like the contract was also overseen by her.

Sometime later, Blue Star signed the contract and teased. "It seems like this Team Leader will need to inquire about your deployment in the future."

"Please don’t tease me like that, Team Leader." Kailey smiled bitterly and explained, "The Guild Leader knows that you’re busy with on-site tasks, so he wanted me to be an assistant to the Guild Captain to assist you even better."

"Alright, no need for an explanation. Your Team Leader here isn’t some salty person." Blue Star chuckled amusingly and waved her hand. "You can send the contracts to the others to sign. I’ll head to the checkpoint now."
