Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1428: Sunrise Inner City Part 45

Chapter 1428: Sunrise Inner City Part 45

When it was pretty much revealed that Xu Feng had deceived the members of their GMP for the last internal auction, many started to clamor for Veronica and Carmen to teach him a lesson.

"Guild Captain and Guild Commander, please outbid the Guild Leader!"

"The Guild Leader is truly despicable!"

"I cannot believe even we aren’t spared from his antics!"

To their astonishment, Xu Feng flashed a peace sign. All was fair in love and war.

Of course, this wasn’t a war, but it could be considered love.

Why was that?

His love for his guild counts!

Shameless?

Hmm, Xu Feng was blind and deaf.

He couldn’t see their glaring or hear their curses.

The only thing he knew was that his GMP was good enough to hoard the majority.

"I’m sure the Guild Captain and Guild Commander wouldn’t take away something I need, right?" Xu Feng turned to them and shamelessly asked. "I’m the face of the guild, and without proper gear, people will look down on us."

Veronica simply rolled her eyes. After suffering a verbal loss, she would be a fool to entertain him further.

With Veronica’s clear sign of zero interest in assisting the poor members, they could only turn their sight to Carmen: their one and only savior!

’Wow, they put me on the spot.’ Carmen was flabbergasted by the intense response. She glanced at Xu Feng and wondered what he was thinking.

There was no need for him to provoke and ragebait the crowd like this unless... he had another plan in mind.

But what could that be?

’Is he trying to give a lecture on always being cautious and wary of your surroundings?’ She thought to herself, linking this incident with the previous illusion.

Truth be told, more than half of the members actually failed the illusion test.

And it wasn’t because of their inferior skill.

Instead, it was their trusting nature between fellow companions that rendered them incapable of believing they were enemies.

Sure enough, when Xu Feng secretly sent her a private message to play along and to outbid him in the upcoming internal auction, Carmen could confirm she had finally guessed his intention correctly for once.

’I knew it!’ She clenched her fist and nodded to the crowd.

"Very well, I shall follow public opinion. Whatever the Guild Leader bid the most, I shall outbid him and snatch the item for myself." She declared loudly.

"Wooo, the Guild Commander is awesome!"

"Long live the Guild Commander!"

"The Guild Leader is probably regretting revealing his scheme!"

Carmen and the rest thought they had succeeded in getting back to Xu Feng.

But little did they know, this was also part of his scheme.

’Heh, just wait till I bid at the trashiest item and scam you out of GMP too.’ He was truly feeling a bit naughty and wanted to give them a good lesson.

After all, once this raid was over, they would soon be enlisted to join the military to confront the Colossus’s armies.

And let’s just say... the armies under the Colossuses were beyond cunning.

If you were even a little bit slow, then you’re doomed for failure. This was the harsh reality and the first step in letting the players know about one thing.

They were also prey in the eyes of the Colossuses.

Either way, Xu Feng clasped his hands and told the rest to begin moving.

Since the last boss no longer required any battling, and only some traverse mechanisms that they needed to avoid, they simply needed to watch their footing.

Alas, it was easier said than done.

BOOM!

KABOOSH!

SWOOSH!

In less than half a minute since they began traversing, many members triggered traps and hidden mechanisms, resulting in their fatal death.

"That’s like the 9th person, right?" Blue Star twitched her mouth. It was a good thing she was a DPS and not a tanker. Otherwise, she cannot imagine being the vanguard to make a path for the rest.

"I think we should commend Dump and Dumper for their dedication." Dark Night chimed in. He must acknowledge their courage because these two tanks alone garnered 3 deaths each.

Lightning Blade nodded his head in repetition. The courage to step forward while knowing fully well of the dangers ahead wasn’t something any ordinary folk could do.

But then again, aside from courage, there was also foolishness.

Because only fools didn’t know the danger and would proceed without a care.

And needless to say, the collective bunch was more inclined to believe these two were the embodiment of foolishness.

By praising them to the sky, they greatly stroked their ego into repeatedly stepping forward to trigger the traps in advance.

They knew it, and so did the rest, except for the actual party itself.

"Hahaha, you guys are welcome!" Dump exclaimed in laughter as he got revived.

Dumper snorted coldly and pounded his chest. "Hmph, stop trying to steal my credit. I exploded just then, so my total death is 4 while you are still at 3!"

"Shut up! I’m next in line again!" Dump clicked his tongue in displeasure and called dibs on being the next vanguard in line.

The tank next in line flashed a bittersweet smile. "Aw man, I wanted to be next, but I guessed I would relent to you."

They appeared in distress as they gave up their position.

Feeling proud, Dump patted their shoulders and told them it was alright. "Better luck next time, buddy. Only a great tank like me can handle this job."

The tank nodded in agreement and wished them luck.

Dumper clicked his tongue and told another tank next in line to relent his position to him once again, clearly unwilling to let Dump catch up to him in death count.

Sure enough, the tank also appeared to be disheartened by being asked. But still, they gave up their position.

Dump and Dumper truly believed they were the best tanks, completely unaware of the malicious grin on those tanks that got booted off.

"I kinda feel bad for those two." Carmen witnessed everything and shook her head.

"Are you really not going to enlighten them?"

"Why would I do that when it’s their choice?" Xu Feng shrugged and had no intention of meddling in their actions.
