Chapter 1468: The Retaliation Part 19
Once the conversation was done, the two of them promptly excused themselves.
They couldn’t stay for long and needed to put on an act that they were no longer on good terms.
"Feel free to curse me to your heart’s content." Xu Feng smiled lightly.
"Don’t worry. I will." Gentle Wind reassured him that she would definitely take this great opportunity to curse him a lot. She was a woman and should have been refined.
But Xu Feng was one irritating person, to say the least.
"You and Kai both infuriated me. It’s only right that I take back some interest now." Autumn Breeze flatly responded.
Unlike Gentle Wind, if she wanted to curse them, then she sure as hell would do it without hesitation.
It wasn’t like she hadn’t scolded Xu Feng before anyway. Back then, he and Zhao Kai would always do some impulsive things that endangered themselves.
"Haha..." Xu Feng could only laugh bitterly at her statement.
By the time the two of them left, Kailey returned to the room with three cups of tea.
"Eh, where did they go?" She glanced around the room in confusion.
Didn’t they agree to have tea served to them?
How could they leave after she spent such good care in brewing them?
"No worries, you can call the Guild Captain in. As for that extra cup, you can have it." Xu Feng grabbed one of the cups and blew on the tea to cool it down.
Once the temperature was ready, he took a sip and widened his eyes slightly.
"I didn’t know you had a knack for tea brewing, Kailey." He turned to her in surprise.
Kailey blushed slightly from embarrassment.
She scratched her chin a little and explained, "My family owned a shop before specializing in tea leaves, so I learned a little bit from them."
Xu Feng nodded. "Then are you interested in being the one in charge of the Fragrance Tea from now on?"
And as if he were afraid she might reject his suggestion, he decided to offer her 5% of the overall interest shares.
"No, there’s no need for the interest shares." Kailey extended her hand and declined the offer. "I already get GMP for tending to it and just harvesting when it’s ready."
Due to the great cultivation lands, she rarely needed to do much to ensure the growth of the Fragrance Tea leaves.
"If I said you’re worth the shares, then you’re worth it." Xu Feng said with an adamant tone.
As scummy and petty as he was, he would never underpay his members.
After all, he had been there and understood how diabolical it was to extort them.
Pay them what they deserve!
This was his motto!
Kailey exhaled softly and relented when she realized her Guild Leader wouldn’t take no for an answer.
"That’s more like it."
Xu Feng smiled lightly and said, "If you don’t want to be paid in money, you can use it as an allocation for your time in the training hall."
Sure enough, Kailey’s eyes lit up, and she immediately wished for the shares to be transferred to her time in the training hall.
Nothing was more valuable than the training hall that gave players a simulation of fighting against the Colossuses and their armies.
"Right... speaking of the training hall." Xu Feng suddenly recalled something and began writing a whole list to send to her.
"The list of guilds here is effectively barred from the training hall. If they want to ask why, tell them that their guilds started it first."
Kailey was dumbfounded.
’There’s still retarded guilds out there starting a war with us?’ She couldn’t believe what she was listening to.
Although Xu Feng kept it brief and subtle, she was clever enough to understand that whoever was on the list had certainly touched the Guild Leader’s bottom line.
The Guild Leader was never the type to completely blacklist anyone unless they had undermined the guild or his principles.
As she glanced at the list, Kailey nearly stumbled to the ground.
"I-I-Is this really the same guild or just ones with a similar name, Guild Leader?" She slowly shifted her attention to him and asked stutteringly. She had thought the guilds in the list were some low-rated or first-rated ones only.
Never once could she have imagined that it wasn’t any of those guilds.
Instead, it was Super Guild! And not just one or two Super Guilds, but at least 7 of them!
7 might not sound like a lot when one considers how big the Divine World was and how many guilds were out there.
But when you pinpointed these 7 as Super Guilds, then that was a lot.
Keep in mind that there were only around 3 digits of Super Guilds or possibly even fewer, given that the Divine World operated in a different mode compared to previous VRMMMORPGs.
Her jaw dropped as she stared at Xu Feng in utter astonishment.
Are they really going to war with so many Super Guilds?
These Super Guilds wouldn’t lack anything, whether it was resources, wealth, or manpower.
"Kailey, what does the Vanguard mean in our guild?" Xu Feng calmly asked.
Instantly, Kailey straightened herself up and put on a solemn expression. "To bravely charge forward regardless of the circumstances or obstacles!"
"So what are you doing right now?"
"I–uhh..."
Sure enough, Kailey was rendered speechless as she realized her temperament and behavior were completely opposite of the Vanguard term.
’So that’s why our guild is called the Vanguard Guild,’ She finally came to a realization of her guild’s name.
It wasn’t to be a vanguard in dungeons or clear rate. Instead, it was literally being a vanguard to topple over the behemoths without any fear.
"I’ll make the arrangement now." Kailey exhaled deeply. The moment she finished, her eyes retained pure clarity as she was determined to follow through with the command.
"I’m sure those people are going to throw a fit. What should we do with them?"
"Throw a fit?" Amused, he slapped his thighs before flashing a cold look.
"They’re lucky I haven’t really gone full berserk and thrown a real fit at them. Just having them booted out is already considered lenient for now."
