"Where are we going, Sir?" Edgar’s health points continuously dropped as he was gripped tightly. But he ignored the pain and inquired who the person in charge of his trial would be.

"Shut up!" The soldier was annoyed and wanted to smack him until Edgar retrieved a few gold coins from his inventory.

"Sir, this is a little bit of my gesture for your great work." He said sheepishly, clearly trying to bribe the soldier for information.

Sure enough, the soldier curled his lips upward at the shining gold coins.

’Heh, what can’t you buy with money?’ Edgar sneered inwardly at his reaction. He believed the soldier was tempted and would accept the bribe right away.

He also thought that he should have long taken out the gold coins and saved himself from the painful drag.

While he was in a daze, Edgar’s eyes suddenly widened in disbelief when he saw himself lifted in the air.

In the next second, he crashed heavily to the ground, instantly coughing up a mouthful of blood.

His bones cracked from the impact as well.

"W-Why?" Edgar glanced at the soldier in utter disbelief. He had just been tossed upside down by the soldier.

"What the fuck do you think you’re doing?" The soldier’s face darkened. He stomped the gold coins and glared fiercely.

"You dare insult my integrity and honor with your filthy money? As expected of a criminal!"

Afterward, the soldier gave another fierce kick at Edgar’s stomach. Now that he had justified the enactment of some violence, the soldier naturally would take the chance.

Edgar coughed up another mouthful of blood and was sent flying to the nearby wall, causing quite a sound wave.

"I-I’m sorry..." He said weakly when he saw that the soldier was prepared to give him another kick.
