Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1569: Carmen Commander Battle Part 4

Chapter 1569: Carmen Commander Battle Part 4

Zhao Enterprise, Lobby

At the lobby, Xu Feng casually took a seat in a comfortable chair and browsed on his phone.

The phone was displaying the stream regarding Carmen’s battle against the town.

’She’s doing well.’ He thought to himself.

Despite only having a few simulation practices, she was already able to put them into practical use.

This was no easy task.

Even he took a long time to learn and study them.

Although there were some aspects that he believed she could do well, he wouldn’t remind her right away. Truth be told, whether they win or lose, Xu Feng was already very proud.

Just when he was watching in peace, two people suddenly approached his area.

"They say an orphan is never fit to be in high society, and that remains true."

"To disregard all the rules is indeed the move of a barbarian-like orphan."

Two distinct voices echoed, but Xu Feng remained unfazed and focused on his phone.

Why should he be bothered with such low-level rage bait?

’Looks like Sister Xin still has to clear out a few people.’ He pretended to switch his legs crossed but secretly took a glance at these two people. They were dressed in business casual clothes, which meant their ranking in the company shouldn’t be that high.

But then again, only fools like them would be sent to the frontline as mere pawns to sacrifice.

"Is he a mute?" One of them continued to taunt, unaware of someone behind them.

"Oh, he’s not a mute."

A voice suddenly echoed from behind. The interruption quickly shocked the two workers at the front.

They glanced at each other and swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

This was a voice that they definitely recognized even from afar.

"You two must be in love to be staring so deeply into each other’s eyes." Xu Feng finally put his phone aside and mused. "One person chirps and the other one claps. If that’s not called matchmade in heaven, then I don’t know what else can be described."

"Pfft," the newcomer instantly let out a small giggle at the joke. Needless to say, she was none other than Anna Liu, who had come down to pick him up.

Who could have imagined she was still too late and overheard two random clowns doing the lowest level of provocation?

While she was glancing at the two, they finally turned around and bowed their heads.

"Greetings, Secretary Anna." They quickly said.

"You can grab your last paycheck and be blacklisted in the industry." Anna Liu’s face darkened. Now that the company was essentially under Zhao Xin’s control, any henchman or lackey that hailed from her siblings’ factions would be eradicated.

That was just the natural way of a succession war.

All those who supported Zhao Xin would be promoted or favored, whereas those who opposed would be maligned or removed.

Why would anyone want someone who opposes them to remain in the company?

The only exception was if such a person was very valuable and talented and couldn’t be replaced by another.

The two workers’ expressions turned pale.

"No, please, we were ordered to do it." One of them tried to explain. They had incriminating evidence against them, which was why they tried to alienate Xu Feng and the Zhao Enterprise.

If it wasn’t for this aspect, they wouldn’t actually commit this kind of clownish move.

Not to mention, Xu Feng had only just arrived.

By logic, Anna Liu shouldn’t have been here so fast.

Just how much importance did they place on Xu Feng?

Sometime later, the two walked out depressingly. They had no more hope in the city, but that was already predetermined.

At least they managed to avoid prison time and simply had to start over in another city with their families.

After all, they had earned quite a lot to last for a long time. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have such evidence held against them.

Shortly after their departure, Anna Liu glanced at Xu Feng with a somewhat awkward expression. The last time they met, his status wasn’t really high.

However, that changed now with the rise of Vanguard Guild.

’How should I address him?’ She was so used to calling him informally.

"Long time no see, Anna." Xu Feng chuckled heartily and began treating her as usual.

"You’re still the same old, Feng." Anna placed her hands on her hips. She shook her head and curled her lips slightly upward.

Indeed, only when the person had their ups and downs would one really be able to see their true face. Despite having made a name for himself and enough money to survive for his entire lifetime, Xu Feng hadn’t changed his core at all.

"The Miss is waiting for you upstairs," Anna said and promptly guided him to the VIP elevator.

As the two made their way up, back at the Divine World, the Great Roc Town was in big turmoil.

Great Roc Town...

"Who is this Demoness?" Bradford was at a loss for words. The enemies weren’t even that high in number, but their defenses were in shambles.

"What happened to our supplies? How come we still haven’t received them yet?"

He questioned some of his subordinates.

The Guild War Flag was active, so any members outside of the town needed to manually come to them.

Yet even after the distress signal had been sent, there still wasn’t any sight of the resources being delivered.

"We’ve just received news from one of the reinforcement teams." A subordinate arrived at the scene and relayed the news.

"When they were close to the town, they were ambushed by a group of Shadow Cloaked people. Our resources were snatched too."

Bradford’s face nearly dropped when he heard the news.

"No wonder the enemies didn’t seem to exhaust their resources. We’re supplying them." He clicked his tongue and felt humiliated.

Truth be told, it had been so long since they actually fought any guild wars.

Nobody ever had the guts to declare war on them other than Super Guilds.

While Bradford realized the enemies weren’t easy, the opposite side was calmer.

"They sent another supply team? How nice of them to constantly donate to us." Carmen mused. She was seated on a comfortable chair with her legs crossed.
