Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 425: Distribution

Chapter 425: Distribution

Xu Feng's sarcastic clapping and exaggerated praise for Emberwolf cut through the tension like a knife.

His mockery was evident to everyone in the room, yet it was impossible to ignore how calm and collected he remained while openly challenging Emberwolf's simplistic view of raid strategy.

By offering Emberwolf his seat, Xu Feng was essentially throwing down a gauntlet, daring him to lead if he thought it was that easy.

The room fell silent.

Even those who were initially frustrated or discontent couldn't help but smirk at the unfolding scene.

'Indeed, this is exactly how Lin Feng behaved.' Gentle Wind thought to herself.

'Phew, now I don't feel that embarrassed during the last raid we had.' Autumn Breeze sighed inwardly in relief when she saw the treatment he gave between the two.

Back then, Xu Feng only reprimanded and teased her a little.

But when dealing with Emberwolf, ruthless was already a generous term with how much he pushed him into a corner. There was legit no path to retreat or advance for the current Emberwolf.

'What a dumb idiot.' Emberwolf's partner, Soulstrider thought to himself. Even he had shut his mouth, afraid that something like this would happen, but it appeared that Emberwolf's brain was indeed empty.

Emberwolf's face flushed red with anger, but he said nothing, realizing the trap Xu Feng had laid for him.

If he accepted the role, he would be expected to deliver on all the complexities of leading such a high-stakes raid. However, rejecting it would only solidify the fact that he wasn't as capable as his bravado suggested. It was a lose-lose situation.

At this moment, almost everyone else in the room glanced at Emberwolf as if he were a top-tier clown. If a large-scale raid were that easy, then wouldn't they have done it themselves or even better, organize and sell the slots for a huge profit?

'Did the Reaver Guild fall so much due to the change of authority?' Blake wondered silently, having been informed as of late that the current leader was the young master, Gao Zhong.

Similar thoughts were within many people's minds, having been somewhat enlightened that Gao Zhong's management of the Reaver Guild had truly gone to shit.

While Emberwolf struggled to find a response to his gesture, Xu Feng didn't give him any more time. He leisurely sat back down, dismissing the moment as if nothing had happened.

"I thought so," He uttered with a casual shrug, unconcerned whether the rest could hear him or not.

"Now, as I was saying, I need everyone's data to lead this raid effectively. This isn't just about knowing classes, ladies and gentlemen. A well-coordinated team needs more than just basic knowledge of who's doing what. I'm not asking for your trade secrets or to investigate your guilds. I'm asking for cooperation—so we don't get a team wipeout."

After the clarification, everyone at the table stayed silent.

Meanwhile, OneManMedia, who had been standing at an angle to stream, was stupefied by the heated comment sections from the viewers.

[Guild Leader Lin Feng is so charismatic!]--- Anonymous User 2304

[Look at how silent Emberwolf became! I've decided. Lin Feng is my idol from now on.]--- Anonymous User 3409

Along with the comment, there were even some who began dropping many gifts in response to Xu Feng's actions. They were either all smitten or amazed by his domineering act.

'The Guild Leader is really not simple.' OneManMedia's mouth was left agape amidst the raze review and response from the viewers.

Although there were indeed some comments calling Xu Feng arrogant, they were quickly drowned out by many who defended him.

As for the man at the center of such actions, he was rather laid back.

'Should I entice Emberwolf a little bit more so I can get the data for free quicker?' Xu Feng wondered silently.

Truth be told, Emberwolf's accusation was extremely spot on.

He indeed wanted their secrets effortlessly since he couldn't afford to waste manpower to send numerous spies. Not to mention, he was unsure if any of the people he sent would be qualified either.

That was why he asked for their data and members straight up to save himself the effort.

Who would have thought Emberwolf to voice his opinion and give him such a golden opportunity to reverse the situation and allow him to have a legitimate excuse to get the information?

"Are you able to finish reading all our members' data on the spot if we give it to you now?" Blake inquired, seemingly baffled by his reading speed.

"That's a good question, Blake." Xu Feng chuckled and leaned forward.

"Do I look like some robot or AI to you? Of course, not. Today's agenda was just to distribute the equipment set to you all and make it clear that I'm the ultimate leader during the raid. And if you want to go against me, then your outcome would be like Soulstrider and Emberwolf." He snickered and stood up.

"Alright, you're free to continue to talk, but I have wasted enough time to get everyone to know each other. Once you decide to give your members' data, hand them over to OneManMedia. If you don't want to, then I cannot be blamed for their death. The consequences are yours to choose."

Shortly after, Xu Feng really exited the room without bothering to hear a response from them.

As for Monica, she remained in to oversee the situation, ensuring these guests wouldn't attempt to cause trouble.

Meanwhile, OneManMedia was stunned by the shift change in the situation, with all eyes now locking on him.

"You have that all on stream, right?" Gentle Wind furrowed her brows and asked softly.

OneManMedia nodded in response. "Mhmm, viewers were in a frenzy."

"W-Wait a second, this meeting has been on livestream the whole time?" Soulstrider stutteringly said, his body shuddering as he stood up. Disbelief colored his eyes when he realized how much of a fool he had become because of Xu Feng's antics.
