Chapter 155 : Snakes and rats in the same nest
Driver Chen was very unhappy. This car was assigned to the Education Bureau by the government, and he drove it for the office. Several directors could use the car whenever they had something to do.
As a result, this woman used him without any courtesy and really thought of herself as their personal driver?
“Madam, I have something else to do at the Education Bureau this afternoon. I’m already late, and my boss is still waiting there. I need to go back quickly. I’m afraid I can’t take you…”
Yao Qiufang looked at the embarrassed Driver Chen and wanted to get angry but couldn’t say anything. “How long will it take to get to the hospital? It won’t matter if you’re half an hour late.”
“My time is not urgent, but the director is waiting there. I can’t keep the leader waiting!”
“Get out, get out now. If you don’t help with such a small matter, I’ll tell our old man, and you’ll be in trouble.”
“Hey, hey, isn’t your police station driving a car here? Please help me get my son and take him to the hospital as soon as possible.”
Yao Qiufang pointed at Liu Chaoying with a righteous look on her face.
Liu Chaoying was puzzled. He felt like a sucker or something, so why did both the criminals and the women pick on him and bully him?
“We didn’t drive, we walked here.”
Yao Qiufang finally sent Yu Qianjin to the hospital, but she used Qian Tu’s bicycle.
The back seat of the bike bounced across the uneven brick ground. Yu Qianjin grimaced in the back, feeling that his injuries were getting worse.
After sending her son away, Yao Qiufang followed Qi Shaoqiang to the police station. After learning that Qi Shaoqiang was from Sanqiao Police Station, she made a big fuss in the police station and demanded that Director Chen fire Qi Shaoqiang.
Chen Weiming was grabbed by the collar, and his clothes were torn off. After an afternoon, he looked like he’d aged two or three years.
The officer handling the case patiently explained to Yao Qiufang, “They both fought each other, and the other party is willing to compensate for the medical expenses. Besides, if your son harasses a woman, she can sue him for molestation. Auntie, the best way to deal with this now is mediation. Otherwise, your son will also have to stay in jail.”
Yao Qiufang’s eyes widened, “You are shielding someone, you’re a nest of snakes and rats! Just because this guy is your colleague, you’re on his side, right? I tell you, if this matter is not handled properly, I will find your leader!”
Li Sainan rolled her eyes in anger and threw the pen in her hand on the table. “You tore our director’s clothes. You’ll have to compensate our leader for his clothes.”
“You!”
“Otherwise, you’ll be detained too!”
The sound of a car was heard outside the yard, and a middle-aged Mediterranean man in plain clothes walked in quickly. As soon as he came in, he apologized to Chen Weiming, “Director Chen, my wife is making trouble for you.”
Yao Qiufang, who originally looked aggrieved, opened her eyes wide in disbelief, looking at her man with a dark face, scolding her, “Have you had enough of making trouble? Come over here quickly and apologize to the director.”
Yao Qiufang wanted to say something else, but was interrupted by Yu Jingnian, “Shut up!”
“I’m sorry, Director Chen. I was just too worried. The child was beaten, and I was so anxious that…”
“Women are short-sighted, but they have long hair. Director Chen, I’m sorry to trouble you…”
As soon as Yu Jingnian came in, he adopted a servile attitude, so Chen Weiming didn’t know what to say.
“Excuse me, where is the person involved? Can I have a moment to talk?”
Yu Jingnian found Qi Shaoqiang and said, “Comrade, I failed to discipline my son properly and let him offend your wife. I’m sorry.”
He bowed deeply to Qi Shaoqiang, then smiled again, “But you can rest assured, although Qianjin in my family has a rebellious and erratic personality, he is definitely not someone who covets other people’s wives.”
“There must be some misunderstanding here.”
Qi Shaoqiang finally understood that this person had been pretending to be reasonable from the beginning just to cover up the fact that Yu Qianjin had been harassing female colleagues.
“There is no misunderstanding, it is a fact that he harassed my wife.”
Yu Jingnian’s face suddenly turned cold, but he quickly put on a warm smile, showing his experience. “Comrade, even if my child was wrong, you beat Qianjin so badly that he had to be hospitalized. You must have let out your anger, right? How about this? I’ll make the decision and give you a hundred dollars as compensation. What do you think?”
Qi Shaoqiang refused to back down and was also angered by the hypocrisy of the old fox in front of him. “How about I give you two hundred and beat him up again?”
Seeing that he couldn’t get his way, Yu Jingnian’s face turned cold. “Tell me, what do you want? As long as you’re not detained, we are willing to give you financial compensation.”
Qianjin is about to graduate, and he cannot have a police record. Otherwise, it will be difficult for him to work in the Education Bureau in the future.
“I said, no compensation, just detention.”
“You should think about the consequences. Let’s not talk about whether you can find evidence to prove the so-called harassment. Even if there is evidence, as long as there is no physical molestation, how long can the person be detained for verbal harassment? Do you think it is worthwhile to make enemies with our family just to vent your anger on a young man out of impulse?”
Without anyone around, Yu Jingnian’s true nature was revealed, and his words were full of undisguised threats.
“Do you want to stay in this police station and be a low-ranking officer for the rest of your life?”
“Why? You still think you can be the boss of our police station?”
Qi Shaoqiang turned his wrist, and a palm-sized tape recorder slipped out from the sleeve of his long-sleeved uniform and shook in his hand.
“Deputy Director Yu, I’m really scared. If I can’t get promoted in the future, I’ll put all the blame on you.”
“This tape recorder is Director Chen’s private collection. It’s especially precious when placed in the office. Comrades in the department occasionally steal it to play with the tape. I heard it has a recording function, but I don’t know if it works well.”
As Qi Shaoqiang said this, he pressed the button to play the recording again, and Yu Jingnian’s voice came out, mixed with static.
“As long as you’re not detained, we can give you financial compensation…”
Yu Jingnian was so angry he shook and slapped his forehead. “My blood pressure!”
…
Yu Qianjin was detained after all, for three days. Although the time wasn’t long, it would still be recorded in his file.
The original plan to arrange a job for him in the Education Bureau as soon as he graduated was completely shattered.
Yao Qiufang completely hated Jiang Li. Besides staying at home to comfort her frustrated son, she would curse Jiang Li and Qi Shaoqiang.
“Old Yu, are we just going to let this woman get away with it? Our son’s future has been ruined by her!”
Yao Qiufang gnashed her teeth, wishing she could eat Jiang Li alive. When she thought of that vixen who had seduced Qianjin and then turned the tables on him, her heart burned with anger.
“I said from the beginning that Qianjin should marry a smart, sensible wife who is a good match for our family. This kind of self-employed woman is not suitable, especially since she has two children…”
“Can you stop nagging me?” Yu Jingnian was certainly not going to let Jiang Li off easily. He had been thinking of a way to deal with her these days.
“If you keep shouting about war and revenge like this, people will report you to your workplace, and you’ll be in big trouble.”
“Then what do you think we should do?” Yao Qiufang was extremely anxious.
“I’ve already called my old friends at the Industry and Commerce Bureau. They have a shop, right? I’ll shut them down.”
