Seeking the Flying Sword Path

“They’re here.”

Mochen’s stocky figure stood at the bow of the silver boat. His five subordinates stood behind him as a silver-haired man’s projection pointed far into the distance. “They will soon arrive at Myriad Flower Palace.

“Palatial Lord Myriad Flower is adept at array formations, so he has long set up formations inside Myriad Flower Palace,” said Mochen indifferently. “Even I’d suffer if I were to enter. Not even me, even if Island Lord were to take action personally… If Palatial Lord Myriad Flower is bent on hiding and escapes through the Chaos spatial rift if things go awry, Island Lord would not be able to do anything to him.

“As long as the four other-universe experts aren’t foolish, they will not rush into the array formation to send themselves to their deaths,” said the silver-haired man’s projection with a laugh. “If they do not enter, Palatial Lord Myriad Flower will have to take the initiative to come out. He might be afraid of Island Lord, but he’s not afraid of those four. There’s a high chance of him chasing after them. If he does indeed come out to fight the four experts… perhaps there might be a chance for you to take them all down!”

They were also holding out a sliver of hope.

After all, from their point of view, Kong Xuan’s treasure-snatching means were indeed impressive; it was something even Island Lord thought highly of.

With this ability and the addition of his three companions, they would likely give Palatial Lord Myriad Flower trouble.

“What if they act arrogantly and confidently charge in?” asked Mochen softly.

“Then there’s nothing we can do about it.”

The silver-haired man shook his head. “To dare charge into Myriad Flower Palace? Then, the four of them are as good as dead. Our trip would have been for nothing.”

Mochen looked at the distant Myriad Flower Palace and fell silent.

His faction had long wanted to deal with Palatial Lord Myriad Flower and had launched numerous assaults before; therefore, they knew how terrifying the palace’s interior was.

“I hope they aren’t that dumb,” said the silver-haired man’s projection with a laugh.

Qin Yun and company were approaching Myriad Flower Palace.

“This palace?” Qin Yun observed carefully. He was quite accomplished when it came to array formations. The Misty Rain Array was his highest attainment, so when he saw the massive palace in front of him, the setup of the palatial complex and the myriad of flowers that bloomed everywhere in it made Qin Yun feel that something was amiss.

He attempted to penetrate it with his Misty Rain domain, but was stopped by the faint halo at palace’s surface.

Without being able to penetrate the halo, they could only make judgments from the surface.

“Brother Kong Xuan, did you notice something amiss?” inquired Qin Yun.

Among the four present, when it came to attainments in array formations, Qin Yun was considered pretty good, but Kong Xuan was truly formidable! He mastered the Great Dao of the Five Elements and had studied other Great Dao over the years. He had accumulated deep insights and had become the best at domains under the Heavenly Dao realm in the Three Realms. In terms of array formation attainments, that was extremely high. Perhaps only Human Sovereign Fuxishi was superior to him. Even Emperor Polestar’s attainments in array formations were about his equal.

“Is there a trap?” asked Goumang.

Kong Xuan said with a smile, “This palace screens probing from the outside. Even my domain cannot penetrate it. But just from its surface, I am certain that there’s an array formation inside the palace, one that’s extremely terrifying. The array formation attainments of the owner of the palace exceed mine. If we were to rashly barge in, we would only be falling into a trap! If we aren’t lucky, we might be trapped without being able to escape… With good luck, perhaps Hou Yi can crack open the array formation with overwhelming force. We might then have a chance of killing the palace owner.”

“Cracking the array by overwhelming force will depend on luck.” Hou Yi nodded. “If the array formation is heavily layered, it will take me too much time to crack the array. We would then be doomed.”

“Yes, there’s a Chaos spatial rift beside the palace,” said Kong Xuan. “It can’t be a coincidence that this palace floats right beside it. If my guesses are correct… the Chaos spatial rift leads to the homeworld of the palace’s owner. If we were to fall into the array formation’s trap, even if we can protect ourselves with Sword Immortal Qin’s sword array, the enemy can control the palace and return to his homeworld with us in thes palace. Once we enter our opponent’s homeworld, who knows if a few Heavenly Dao realm existences might appear to deal with us.”

Qin Yun and company nodded.

Just like if an enemy were to head to the Three Realms, they would also suffer the wrath of Numinous Treasure Dao Ancestor and company. If the palace were to bring them into the palace owner’s homeworld…

“What else can we do?” asked Goumang.

“We are already so near to the palace. With the owner’s attainments in array formation, he must have discovered us,” said Kong Xuan. “Let’s deliberately appear to give up and leave immediately! “I wish the four of them will be able to restrain Palatial Lord Myriad Flower for just a moment.” Mochen wore a look of anticipation. “As long as they can restrain him and prevent Palatial Lord Myriad Flower from escaping into the palace immediately, we’ll be able to take action.”

“Let’s hope so. Although the four of them can’t be considered powerful, their means are rather unique.” The silver-haired man also looked forward to the outcome.

Ignoring everything else, just having an array formation that reached the half-step Primordial realm was enough to catch Island Lord’s eyes.

To him, array formation attainments at the half-step Primordial realm were a lot more useful than Qin Yun and company.

“Gentlemen, why are you in such a hurry to leave?” The branch-wielding man smiled as it exuded a formless charm. “It’s so rare to encounter one another in the spatial tide. We come from different universes and can simply sit down and have an exchange over different cultivation Dharmic formulation and experiences. What do you think?”

A formless wave swept past the four.

It was a power that the Misty Rain Array was unable to fend off, for the formless wave contained a special power that allowed it to sweep across Qin Yun and company.

Qin Yun, Goumang, and Kong Xuan felt their Essence Souls quiver. Instantly, they found the red-dressed man in front of them extremely familiar. However, their Dao hearts were extraordinary, so they were prevented from being directly entranced by him.

“You have the nerve to talk about having an exchange about cultivation Dharmic formulations when you use a charming attack the moment we meet?” Hou Yi said coldly. “To take such an action, we wouldn’t dare have an exchange with you.”

Hou Yi’s voice swept towards Qin Yun and the other two with a formless power, instantly jolting them awake.

“How terrifying it was,” said Goumang via a voice transmission. “It’s like drinking the finest wine that leaves me intoxicated with a few sips.”

“Despite knowing that we are under its effects, my Essence Soul still quivered,” said Kong Xuan via a voice transmission.

“Our Dao hearts are still lacking,” echoed Qin Yun.

The three of them were extraordinary.

One of them was the number one sword immortal of the Three Realms, while the other two were experienced experts from the other generation who were not far from the half-step Heavenly Dao realm. Yet, they were still influenced.

Despite knowing that they were spellbound, they were unable to control themselves.

This naturally made Qin Yun and company apprehensive.
