She Lives without Regret in This Life

Chapter 1284 - 1354: Family Feud

Chapter 1284: Chapter 1354: Family Feud

"Average," Housekeeper Xing said subtly.

"Huh?" Qin Cuifen was so shocked that she couldn’t close her mouth. This... such a good car, and it’s just average in price? How rich must one be?

"Please get in the car!" Housekeeper Xing, with gentlemanly manners, opened the car door for her.

"Alright." She had never experienced such treatment before; it felt just like a dream, as if she were a noble princess. Qin Cuifen felt as light as air, lost in bliss.

And when she arrived at Feng Manor, her eyes almost popped out seeing the palace-like white house from afar. She leaned against the car window, greedily taking in everything before her eyes.

Inwardly, she swore that no matter what, she would live here.

This was her ultimate dream and pursuit; she never wanted to go back to that dreadful rural place. She also realized how foolish and short-sighted she had been before.

Fortunately, she followed Julian to M Country. How else could she have witnessed such beautiful houses, lovely clothes, and even more handsome men in the world?

As it was Sunday today, the estate was particularly lively. All of Mr. Feng’s countless grandchildren were back. Some people were taking a walk on the lawn at the entrance, while children played and frolicked under the swing set.

Inside the hall, young people sat in small groups on the sofa, chatting.

The conversation inevitably revolved around Feng Zhenzhen, who was confined in the ancestral hall.

"Zhenzhen is really out of line, how could she anger Grandpa like that?" said a mixed-race girl with stunning amber eyes.

It was actually easy to distinguish which were Mr. Feng’s grandchildren and which were grandchildren of daughters. The legitimate family heir must be of pure Eastern lineage; once they married a foreigner, their children’s connection to inheritance was outright dismissed.

At most, they could only receive a little money from the Feng Family Foundation. Therefore, the ambitious sons would never marry a foreign woman as their wife; if they liked them, they could keep them outside.

But the offspring could only be Eastern people.

The seating in the living room also indicated this subtly, with the mixed-race ones sitting slightly off to the side.

"Exactly!"

"Cousin might not have done it on purpose, right?" said a blonde girl, her expression timid. She was Feng Xintong, another of the old man’s granddaughters. Unfortunately, she was an illegitimate child, born to the mistress that the second Feng son kept outside back in the day.

"She’s always been arrogant and condescending. Who has she ever considered? She probably acted the same way even before Grandpa," someone said sharply.

"Xintong, don’t speak up for her; with her gone, no one will bully you."

"Yeah, why should she be a cut above you?" someone expressed discontent.

"Just because I have black hair and she has blonde hair," Feng Zhenzhen’s cold voice came from the staircase, and the living room immediately fell silent. Everyone was surprised and looked towards the stairs. They realized Feng Zhenzhen had somehow been released and was standing by the railing on the second floor, looking down.

Her delicate features were filled with disdain and arrogance.

Everyone was inwardly cursing their luck.

If this troublemaker heard them badmouthing her behind her back, wouldn’t she make their lives a living hell?

Feng Xintong timidly lowered her head, hiding a trace of satisfaction at the corner of her mouth.

"Xintong, go to my room and pick a piece of jewelry."

"Thank you, sister." Feng Xintong stood up obediently to express her gratitude.

"Hmph!" Feng Zhenzhen snorted coldly and turned back to her room.
