Chapter 423: Old Flames
Chapter 423: Old Flames
The room was thick with tension.
Elyria stood frozen in place, her silver-white hair slightly disheveled and her breathing heavy. Her eyes were locked onto the tall man standing just a few steps away, holding both her students by their necks with terrifying ease.
Viktor.
A name she never expected to hear again... especially not in a situation like this.
Her mind raced.
’What was he doing here? Why was he holding her students hostage? And most importantly, how was he connected to Alex?’
Viktor smiled calmly, but his grip never loosened. Their faces were pale, struggling to breathe as they looked at Elyria with desperate eyes.
"What happened, Elyria?" Viktor said smoothly, his voice carrying a hint of amusement. "You don’t look very happy to see me after such a long time. I’m really disappointed."
Elyria’s jaw tightened. Her rage from earlier had disappeared... it had transformed into something far more complicated.
Without another word, Viktor released both women from his grip. Mrs. Blackwell and the younger woman stumbled forward, coughing and gasping for air as they quickly moved away from him.
Viktor stepped forward, closing the distance between him and Elyria. She didn’t move. Her body remained still, but her eyes followed his every step with sharp intensity.
He stopped just inches away from her, leaning in slightly. His voice dropped to a low whisper as he spoke near her ear.
"But I missed you a lot."
The whisper sent a jolt through Elyria’s body.
Without thinking, she suddenly pushed Viktor back with force. He staggered two steps before steadying himself, a low laugh escaping his lips.
"As stubborn as always, huh?" Viktor said with an amused smirk.
Before Elyria could react, he moved.
His speed was so terrifyingly fast that Elyria barely saw a blur. In the next instant, he was right in front of her again. Before she could even raise her guard, Viktor gripped her arm with crushing force, locking her in place.
Elyria’s eyes widened in shock.
She couldn’t move. His grip was like iron... cold, unyielding, and impossibly strong. She tried to break free, but it was useless. For the first time in years, she felt completely helpless against someone.
’How...?’ she thought, her mind racing. ’How did he surpass me in cultivation in such a short time?’
It was impossible.
The last time she had seen Viktor, he was only at the Middle Enhanced realm. Even with all his talent, he should have been at Peak Enhanced at most. But the power she was feeling from him right now was far beyond that.
It was unbelievable.
Elyria stared at him, her expression a mix of shock and disbelief. Viktor simply smiled, his grip tightening slightly as he looked into her eyes.
Elyria looked around, her face slightly flushed with embarrassment. She noticed both her students staring at her with confused expressions, question marks practically written on their faces.
Her irritation grew even stronger.
’How dare he...’ she thought, her rage flaring up once again. She was about to move and attack Viktor when suddenly, he grabbed her with force and turned her around.
The sudden movement was so strong that Elyria almost let out a scream. Before she could react, Viktor leaned in close, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered:
"Why don’t you look in front of you?"
He even slightly bit her ear while speaking.
’This bastard...’ Elyria thought, her eyes filled with murderous intent. ’How dare he do this in front of so many people?’
But just as she looked ahead, her eyes widened in shock.
On the other side of the room, Heena was clinging tightly to Alex, her face buried in his chest. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she held onto him like her life depended on it.
"Alex! Are you okay?" she cried, her voice breaking. "Please... please don’t blame my aunt. It’s all my fault... I’m the one who came to you. Please don’t hurt her..."
Elyria froze in shock.
She stared at the scene in front of her, completely stunned.
’What the hell is going on?’ she thought. ’Did I misunderstand everything?’
Before she could process her thoughts any further, Viktor leaned in close once again, his voice low and teasing.
"Do I still have to spell everything out for you?"
Viktor whispered those words before finally releasing Elyria from his grip. She staggered slightly but quickly regained her balance, her expression filled with shock and confusion.
Elyria’s eyes darted toward the other side of the room, where Heena was still clinging tightly to Alex, crying in his arms. For a moment, she didn’t know what to think.
Before she could process her thoughts any further, Mrs. Blackwell stepped forward. She looked at Elyria with a small, awkward smile and spoke.
"Yes, Master... You misunderstood," she said carefully. "When we first entered, Alex and Heena were... making love. She wasn’t forced at all."
The younger woman standing beside her quickly nodded in agreement.
"Yes, Master. That’s right," she added.
Elyria felt a wave of embarrassment wash over her. Her face slightly flushed as the truth slowly sank in.
But before she could say anything, her gaze shifted... and landed on Howard, who was quietly trying to back away toward the exit, hoping no one would notice him.
"Stop right there!" Elyria shouted, her voice sharp and commanding.
Howard froze instantly, his body stiffening in fear.
In a flash, she moved. Before Howard could even react, Elyria was already in front of him. She grabbed him by the collar with terrifying force and yanked him back into the center of the room.
"You dare try to deceive me just now?" she growled.
He screamed as his body slammed into the floor, sliding several feet before stopping.
"No! No... Please forgive me! I was wrong! I was wrong!" Howard screamed in panic. He scrambled to his feet and ran straight toward Heena, dropping to his knees in front of her.
"Please save me! Please!" he begged desperately, grabbing the edge of her robe. "I have done so many bad things to you... but I was still your husband! Please... please help me!"
