She Used Me for a Dare… Now I Own Her Mother

Chapter 430: Naked Truth

Chapter 430: Naked Truth

Sophia stood frozen in place, completely naked under the moonlight. Her mouth hung slightly open, her eyes wide with pure shock.

’Get dressed and get out.’

The words kept repeating in her head like a cruel echo. For a moment, her mind refused to accept them. She just stared at Alex’s retreating back, her brain struggling to process what had just happened.

’He... he actually told me to leave?’

The realization hit her like a slap across the face.

’How can he...?’ Her mind spiraled. ’Isn’t he supposed to want me? After everything he did... Her mother, aunt and even Jennifer... wasn’t all of that just to get my attention? To make me come to him?’

’And now when I’m finally here on my own... when I’ve accepted him... he doesn’t want me anymore?’

She thought when Alex saw her standing in his mansion... waiting for him till midnight, completely on her own, finally choosing him... he would run to her.

She expected him to pull her into his arms, to appreciate her for finally coming to him, for ditching everyone else and choosing him.

But instead... he was walking away.

Anger and humiliation burned through her chest at the same time. Her hands clenched into fists at her sides.

’Why? Why is he rejecting me like this?’

She watched his retreating figure walk away from her as if she meant nothing... as if he didn’t care at all. As if he was no longer the same Alex from a few months ago. The same Alex who would’ve done anything for her.

The truth finally sank in, cold and brutal.

Alex wasn’t playing games. He wasn’t trying to win her back. He truly didn’t want her anymore.

Sophia’s breathing grew ragged. She couldn’t accept it. She wouldn’t accept it.

He had accepted her mother. He had accepted her aunt. He had even accepted Jennifer, that bitch. So why not her? Why was she the only one being thrown away?

Her heart ached so badly it felt like it was being crushed inside her ribcage. The thought of losing Alex sent a wave of panic and pain through her entire body.

"No..." she whispered, her voice trembling. "No, no, no..."

Before she could stop herself, Sophia started running after him, completely naked, her wet feet slapping against the marble floor.

"Alex! Wait!" she called out, her voice cracking. "Please... wait!"

Alex didn’t stop. He kept walking toward the mansion without looking back.

Sophia chased after him, her heart pounding violently in her chest. Tears stung her eyes as she finally caught up to him near the glass doors.

She grabbed his arm from behind, her voice desperate and shaking.

"You’re still angry about that day... right?" Sophia said, her voice breaking as tears streamed down her face. "I know you are. And I deserve it. I was horrible... I was truly horrible to you. I should’ve never done that to you. I should’ve never treated you the way I did."

She took a shaky breath, her voice cracking even more.

"Please, Alex... I’m sorry. I’m really, really sorry. Just... please don’t push me away like this."

Alex stopped but didn’t turn around.

Sophia’s grip on his arm tightened as more words spilled out of her in a rush.

"I even left Marcus and the whole group... I threw everyone away because I finally realized how wrong I was. Because I wanted you."

Her voice cracked completely as she looked up at him with tear-filled eyes.

"I really like you, Alex... I really do. Please... give me one last chance. Please..."

Alex finally turned around.

His eyes met Sophia’s... she was standing there completely naked, tears streaming down her face, her hands still gripping his arm as she begged him to forgive her. Her wet hair clung to her shoulders, her body trembling under the moonlight.

For a long moment, Alex just looked at her.

And he felt nothing.

All the love he once had for her... was gone. Completely. There was no anger, no pain, no longing... just emptiness. The girl he used to care so deeply about now felt like a stranger to him.

"You should go, Sophia," he said, his voice calm and cold. "You shouldn’t be here."

Sophia’s heart ached as his words cut through her like a knife.

"I have already forgiven and forgotten you," Alex continued, his tone flat. "There’s nothing left between us."

Before he could say another word, Sophia grabbed both of his hands.

With trembling fingers, she pressed them against her own cheeks and started hitting herself with them, her voice breaking into desperate sobs.

"Please... Hit me... Shout at me... But please don’t reject me like this... Please. I really love you, Alex... I really do."

Sophia’s tear-filled eyes looked up at him desperately, searching for any sign of softness, any crack in his cold expression.

But Alex’s face remained completely unreadable.

For months, he had mapped this exact moment in his head... over and over again. He had imagined every possible version of this confrontation. He had planned exactly how he would look at her, how he would speak, and which words would hurt her the most.

’Why did you deceive me?’

’Why did you play with me like I was nothing?’

’Why did you make me believe you cared, only to crush me in front of everyone?’

He had wanted to shout these questions at her. He had wanted to rip open every wound she had left on him and force her to see the damage she caused. These questions had haunted him for months, burning inside his chest like poison.

But now, as he looked at her... standing naked, crying, and desperately clinging to his arm he realized something that surprised even him.

He didn’t feel the need to ask anymore.

Those questions no longer mattered.

The fire that once burned for her had long since turned to ash.

Alex looked at her, his eyes void of any emotion.

"Love?" he said quietly. "No, Sophia. You don’t love me. You never did."

"What you feel... is obsession. You thought you loved me, but the truth is... you just wanted to have me. To show your mother, your aunt, and everyone else that you’re still the best. That you can take whatever you want."

His words cut through her like ice.

Sophia opened her mouth, desperate to refute him... to tell him that she really loved him, that this wasn’t just attraction anymore. The words were right there on the tip of her tongue.

But nothing came out.

Sophia stood there, completely still, silently crying. His calm words hit her harder than any scream ever could.

For the first time, she truly understood how deeply she had broken him.

Without saying another word, Sophia slowly turned around. Her shoulders shook as she walked toward the bench where her clothes were. She picked them up with trembling hands and clutched them tightly to her chest.

Then she began moving toward the exit, her legs heavy and barely moving, as if every step cost her the last of her strength. Her body felt leaden, weighed down by the crushing weight of rejection.

Just as she was about to leave, she stopped.

She turned back one last time, her eyes red and swollen, and looked at Alex.

"I want to ask one question, Alex..." she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Why Jennifer? Isn’t she too one of those people...?"

Alex looked at her for a moment, then answered with complete honesty.

"She looked useful to me. Nothing more."

Sophia nodded slowly, her face blank. She didn’t cry. She didn’t argue. She just turned around and walked away into the night, her footsteps fading into the darkness.

***

Sophia stepped out of the mansion completely naked, her clothes clutched tightly in one hand. The cold night air kissed her bare skin, but she barely felt it. Her wet hair clung to her shoulders as she walked slowly down the long driveway, each step heavier than the last.

She reached her hidden car, quietly opened the door, and slid inside. For a long moment, she just sat there in the darkness, staring at nothing.

’Useful, huh?’

She knew the answer to the question she had asked. The one Alex didn’t voice out loud.

’Why didn’t he hate her as much as me?’

A bitter, broken smile touched her lips.

’It’s because she wasn’t the one he trusted. She wasn’t the one he loved... I was.’

The realization hit harder than any slap. She had been the only one who truly mattered to him... and she had destroyed that. She had taken the purest thing he’d ever given her and crushed it in front of everyone who watched.

Tears slid down her cheeks, but she didn’t wipe them away.

’Maybe I never deserved him,’ she whispered to herself, voice barely audible in the quiet car.

She sat in silence for a few seconds, the weight of everything crushing her chest. Then her fingers tightened around the steering wheel.

’But I still want to be useful one last time...’

Her eyes, red and swollen, hardened with quiet determination.

Sophia started the car. The engine purred to life.

Without another glance at the mansion behind her, she pressed her foot on the accelerator and drove away into the night... naked, broken, and carrying a dangerous new resolve in her heart.
