Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You

Vol 9. Chapter 79: Dragon Heroic Spirit (7)

Vol 9. Chapter 79: Dragon Heroic Spirit (7)

A full hundred strikes of Soul Judgment fell like a rainbow downpour, wrapping Tucker inside it.

Kneeling within that blinding seven-colored radiance, he spread his arms wide, as if confessing his sins—yet also as if accepting relief at finally being freed.

But the time Tucker could hold onto his own body was still far too short.

After only a few seconds, the Magic Eye seized control again.

Even so, because Tucker had destroyed his own magic circuits and risked his life to create the perfect opening for Noa, the Magic Eye was still helpless even after regaining control of the body.

From within the seven-colored light came the Magic Eye’s hoarse roar.

“Noa!! I’m going to kill you!! I will kill you!!”

But no matter how it screamed, its violence and savagery were locked tight inside those hundred strikes of Soul Judgment.

Noa had been right.

If an undying soul ran into Primordial Force, then the Magic Eye really should regret it.

Because being unable to die meant it would have to endure Soul Judgment’s damage without end.

Its soul and tentacles were destroyed and seared again and again—then forcibly restored again and again.

The pain was like steel nails driven into flesh, piercing bone, tormenting every inch of it without pause.

“Noa!”

“Noa!!”

“Noa!!!”

…

The hoarse voice slowly faded into nothing.

But the impact of Soul Judgment · Hundredfold Chain continued for several full minutes before it finally stopped.

When the light dispersed, the Magic Eye sat on its knees in place, legs spread, both arms dangling limply at its sides. Its empty eyes bulged outward, twisted and terrifying.

Ael, who had already been carried out of danger, saw that and asked in a panic.

“D-did Tucker die? Did he die?”

“Relax. Soul Judgment only harms those with extremely intense negative emotions. Your buddy might have some jealousy, but compared to the Magic Eye, that’s nothing. So even though it looked dramatic, the only one injured was the Magic Eye.”

Ael swallowed hard.

He did not really understand Primordial Force. He only knew it was a mysterious power that existed in legend.

And frankly, most dragons probably understood it the same way.

But why did this person explain it so fluently?

Ael lifted his head to look at the person who had dragged him away from the danger zone.

The first thing he saw was a tuft of pink hair.

“Are you… a junior from the Young Dragon Division? How do you know so much about Primordial Force?”

Aurora set Ael down onto the stretcher, dusted her hands, and said:

“I live and eat under the same roof as the cool white-glowing woman over there. How do you think I know so much?”

This pink-haired junior had a very punchable way of talking.

But Ael managed to grasp the meaning and nodded as if enlightened.

“You’re Noa’s little sister, right?”

“Yeah!”

“Little sisters. Plural.”

Moon’s voice came from the side, and Aurora and Ael turned.

Moon had a hostage slung over her shoulder as well, having just carried her out of the danger zone too.

When Ael saw the face that looked exactly like Noa’s, he finally let out a breath.

“That face practically has the word ‘power’ written all over it.”

No, Ael. Power belongs to Noa and her father.

As for what kind of creatures her younger sisters are, you’ll find out soon enough.

Back on the battlefield, the Magic Eye recovered again from its heavy injuries.

It stared at Noa, unwillingness filling its gaze.

“How… did it come to this…? Am I really… defeated like this…?”

“Now,” Noa said, footsteps approaching, “leave Tucker’s body.”

The Magic Eye looked up.

Noa was walking toward it, one hand gathering Primordial Force.

“Then crawl back into the prison.”

The Magic Eye knew how serious the consequences of this jailbreak were.

If it could not defeat Noa or escape, then once it was captured again, it would not be as simple as being locked up for research like last time.

Dragons were not a merciful, soft-handed race. Even if Noa were not present, others would have plenty of ways to torment it.

“What, do you want to fight a few more rounds?” Noa stopped and asked coldly. “If you do, I’m happy to oblige.”

The outcome was decided. There was nowhere to run.

But the Magic Eye was still the Magic Eye.

It had been sealed on Atos’s demon sword for tens of thousands of years, finally escaped to Samael—and still could not avoid the same fate.

“In that case… I absolutely won’t let you low-class Samaelians live in peace!!”

With those words, the Magic Eye tore itself free from Tucker’s body.

But its true form was no longer that ordinary giant eyeball.

Now, its eye was several times larger, and the entire thing was covered in dense, writhing tentacles.

Noa froze.

“So you’re going all-in…”

“Noa!!”

The Magic Eye, wrapped in tentacles, howled:

“I’m going to make you pay!!”

In the next instant, it erupted with terrifying chaotic power.

Thick dim-violet smoke poured from its core and from the countless tentacles spreading outward, rapidly expanding in every direction.

Where the purple smoke passed, flowers and grass withered instantly. Even the ground itself was corroded.

“Damn it!”

Noa immediately understood the Magic Eye’s goal.

It was trying to drag more people down with it.

“That purple smoke is condensed chaotic power. We cannot let it spread.”

Her forebear’s voice sounded in the mindscape.

“If it spreads, it could cause a disaster on the level of Ultimate Fear back then.”

When her forebear said “back then,” she did not mean the incident when Shadow released Ultimate Fear in Sky City.

She meant the Ultimate Fear her forebear had battled after separating from Dragon God Tiamat—an ordeal that had taken centuries to suppress.

Back then, she had her own body and the purest Primordial Force, and even then she had only barely sealed Ultimate Fear.

If that kind of disaster happened again now, the outcome truly was uncertain.

“Understood.”

Noa answered, clasped her hands together, and white light burst outward.

In the blink of an eye, Primordial Force formed several barriers, each rising around the Magic Eye.

Then the barriers converged, sealing the Magic Eye, its tentacles, and all that purple smoke within.

Primordial Magic · Sealing Art · Sacred Aurora!

“That should do it.”

But just as Noa was about to exhale, she saw purple smoke leaking out through the Sacred Aurora barrier, continuing to spread outward at high speed.

“H-how…?”

“The corrosive ability and spread rate of chaotic power are far more terrifying than you think,” her forebear said. “Directly strike the Magic Eye’s true body and try to interrupt the release.”

“Got it!”

Noa gathered power and attacked the Magic Eye inside Sacred Aurora.

At the same time, as chaotic power spread, the academy had nowhere safe left.

In an instant, everything plunged into chaos.

The purple smoke was everywhere, seeping through any gap. Hiding behind magical barriers was useless.

In only a few seconds, chaotic power had already spread across more than half the campus.

Screams from students and teachers rose one after another.

Some tried to fly up to avoid the smoke. Others shifted into true dragon form and tried to carry away more students who still could not transform.

But the purple smoke instead prioritized devouring large targets.

The students watched in horror as the smoke swallowed an entire dragon at a visible speed.

“S-so terrifying… run!”

“Get out! Don’t let that stuff touch you!!”

The chaos intensified rapidly.

There were still injured people, including Ael, and the medical teams struggled to move while carrying them.

Ael, lying on a stretcher, hurriedly said:

“You all go first. Don’t worry about me. Those things are about to reach us.”

A medic pressed a hand against Ael’s chest and barked:

“Lie still. Don’t talk. We’ll get you somewhere safe.”

“But—watch out!”

Ael tried to speak, but he saw a plume of purple smoke rushing toward the medic’s back and shouted a warning.

The medic still reacted a beat too slow. When she turned, it was already too late to dodge.

“Damn…”

At that critical instant, an invisible strike detonated in front of her, briefly blasting the purple smoke apart.

Ael and the medic both froze.

Ael blinked, dazed. “What kind of technique… wind magic…?”

A small figure landed in front of them.

“Not wind,” she said. “Sound.”

Soundstream Blast.

After Muse awakened a new sound attribute, with Leon and Rosvisser’s help she successfully pioneered a new magic school, named 【Soundstream】.

Ael: “Killing without form, and you still don’t get sound magic?”

As she spoke, two more waves of chaotic power surged in from both sides.

Ael flinched and tried to raise his hand to cast, but nearly every bone in his body was broken. He couldn’t produce any force.

The purple smoke on both sides was about to swallow them.

Ael’s heart sank.

But the next second, thunder exploded and fire rained down. Two elemental forces collided, and the shockwave directly crushed the left-side smoke.

Moon arrived, lightning and fire gathered in each hand.

Twinborn Magic · Thunderfall, Fire Punishment.

Ael: “One move doing the damage of several moves. Twinborn awakening is really that nasty, huh?”

But what about the right-side smoke.

When Ael turned, he saw the smoke that had been rushing in at full speed suddenly slow, as if pressed down by some invisible force.

The medics seized the opening and carried Ael and the other injured away.

Ael looked at the last pink-haired girl.

“And what is this? Space magic?”

Aurora froze, immediately trying to correct him.

“What space magic? This is the noble pow—cough, cough!”

Moon and Muse covered Aurora’s mouth from both sides, smiling tensely as they explained:

“Space magic. Yeah. Space magic.”

Ael: “Space magic that’s close to a ‘time stop’ effect? That isn’t nasty?”

He finally understood.

So the Melkvey family were all “nasty” in the same direction.

Once Ael and the others were gone, Moon and Muse finally let go of Aurora.

Aurora puffed her cheeks, then turned to look around the academy.

“There are still plenty of students who can’t fight back. Teachers and some upperclassmen are helping—we need to go too.”

“Right.”

Muse answered and started running with Aurora toward the other side of the academy.

But after a few steps, they realized Moon hadn’t followed.

They looked back and saw Moon staring toward the field, worry filling her eyes.

Aurora ran back, took Moon’s hand, and said:

“Don’t worry. Big sister will stop the Magic Eye.”

“We have other things to do right now, sister.”

Leon hadn’t only taught responsibility to the eldest, Noa.

The younger sisters understood those lessons too.

Moon pulled her gaze away and nodded.

“Okay. Let’s go.”

The three sisters sprinted toward the battlefield that belonged to them.
