Chapter 1211: Fiery Temper

Chapter 1211: Fiery Temper

“Do you believe me now? I am the fairest of the firebirds and have no lack of suitors. If you don’t want me, there is a line waiting.” She said.

“That’s fine...” Feiyun replied.

“But since I have accepted your mother’s betrothal gift, I am a part of the Feng Clan. I naturally don’t give a damn about those suitors.” She said.

“Did you really meet my mother? Where is she now?” Feiyun asked.

“I don’t know, but I secretly listened to her talking with my grandfather. She and Uncle Feng seem to be looking for someone named Heavendao, it sounded important.” She said.

‘Heavendao again, Shui Yueting is looking for this person too, must be a key figure after the calamity.’ Feiyun thought to himself.

This girl seemed to be telling the truth as well. Grandpa Liu had always taken care of him and was closer to him than his blood grandfather. This made the situation harder.

“She also said not to let you go to Timeworn or the dragon race.” She continued.

“Why not?” He asked.

“I don’t know.” She contemplated a bit before answering: “I heard that your mother has a serious feud with the dragons, she killed many supremes and injured their emperors, uprooting their ancestral shrine too.”

Feiyun thought about something but was interrupted by the roar of a golden crow.

“This prince is so annoying, does he think I can’t kill him?” The saintess looked annoyed, seemingly ready to fight again.

“You can’t kill him.” Feiyun held her shoulder.

“I have a way.” She adorned a divine garment, shrouding her delicate figure with red phoenix feathers - looking more like a phoenix saintess than the actual one.

“Phoenix feathers and dragon leather.” Feiyun was surprised to see this.

“Yes, your mother refined two garments together, you have one with dragon scales and phoenix leather while I have this one. The materials are from Immemorial Divine Phoenix and an Ancestral Dragon Monarch. Mine has a side effect though.” She elaborated.

“What is it?” He asked.

“When I take it off, my temper gets out of control, a bit murderous too. Grandpa told me not to use it unless there is no other choice. I used to be frail and kind but now, my temperament is worse after using it twice. What about you, honey?” She said.

“Ahem, none. And don’t call me honey.” Feiyun said.

“Fine, Brother Yun, mother also gave me something to give you.” She said.

“Feiyun, we’re rich! Stop flirting, come here!” The turtle and blood dragon rushed over from a distance.

The turtle kicked the dragon and came over first: “We found a vein beneath the mountain range.”

“Is that... supposed to be strange?” Feiyun asked.

“It’s a river of all fire essences!” The turtle trembled with excitement.

“Okay, let’s go take a look!” Feiyun shared the sentiment.

The two led the way with Feiyun and the saintess behind them. She was interested in this fire vein and forgot about the item.

As they delved deeper, they saw blue flames everywhere. Eventually, it became dense enough and took on liquid form.

Feiyun used the invisible robe for protection. He stood on top of a boulder and observed the coursing river, being assaulted by the scorching heat.

“A full underground river made from fire essences, a hundred billion or so. This will help my beast souls!” Feiyun released all of his beast souls.

Fire essences were useful for his Immortal Phoenix Physique. However, this was harder to cultivate than the beast physique so he wanted to focus on the latter first.

“Brother Yun is at a critical juncture with his cultivation, so you three go watch outside. Tell me if Prince Tyrant comes.” She ordered.

“Little girl, how dare you command us? Do you know who we are?!” The blood dragon said.

Her eyes turned cold as she slapped the dragon, causing it to spin three times. Next came a flurry of punches and kicks until it saw stars and cried.

She tidied up her dress and took a deep breath, waving her finger with a smile: “I forgot to introduce myself, I am Feng Feiyun’s official fiancee, so if you don’t listen to me... I will teach you a lesson.”

The turtle stared at the beaten dragon and trembled, mumbling complaints: ‘This girl is so violent, I better lay low.’

‘So violent, I feel bad for Uncle.” The fruit whispered.

‘Official fiancee? A mountain can’t have two tigers, what about Jingyue?’ The dragon whispered.

‘Long Luofu too, she’s pregnant.’ The turtle said.

‘Cangyue, she’s a fiancee too.’

‘And Hongyan? She’s even more violent and cruel with a worse temperament.’’

‘Who knows, this firebird might spew flames later during a fight.’

‘What a tragic fate.’

She heard the three of them whisper and became more annoyed.

Meanwhile, the beast souls became increasingly strong and corporeal.

“Raa!” A second gained a beast physique and the first saint law.

“Raa!” A third was next with a monstrous aura.

Forty-six souls reached the pseudo-saint realm in just twelve hours, looking like primal beasts near the river.

Feiyun floated above the river, channeling more essences into his body.

The saintess came closer to the pseudo-saint beasts and took out forty-seven pieces of leather. All of them were written with runes from the World Destruction Tablet.

“The sages used their own skin to write these runes, these are saint and destruction dao, learn them.” She said.

The beasts listened and meditated on the ground, attempting to learn the dao.

After a while, seven more beast souls reached the right realm and she took out another seven pieces. These were made from dragon skin with destruction runes as well.

It took a whole day for Feiyun’s group to absorb the river. He had a total of 108 beast souls who were busy with learning the destruction runes.

The skins varied in origin - dragon, firebird, human, golden crow...

Feiyun landed in front of her and asked: “These are sacred treasures from the races, where did you get them?”

“Your mother wanted me to give them to you, a total of ten thousand pieces.” She took out a box with mysterious runes.

She unsealed it and an immemorial presence shot out, revealing the numerous skin pieces. Some were from saints.

Feiyun placed his palms together and summoned all five domains to contain them. Of course, they were already sealed by a true master, hence his ability to take them in.

The scene before them was magnificent - the images of the cultivators talking about the calamity. Their cries and howls captivated Feiyun and the others, moving them to tears.

“Boom!” A claw tore the ground apart, causing an earthquake.

Prince Tyrant descended and stared at the skin pieces: ‘Primal runes, so many of them, ten thousand total? I can create ten thousand avatars with them, who will be able to stop me then?’
