Shao Yunduan burst into laughter, a hint of playful disappointment in his expression.

Regardless of whether the Su family might act impulsively, spring plowing remained their foremost concern.

For him, this was a blessing to cherish.

Moreover, Anze Province held numerous properties belonging to Qiao Xuan, which she was contemplating.

Six or seven days after Qiao Xuan and Shao Yunduan departed from the province, Consort Su and her entourage finally returned to Jiangning.

They were back at last!

Consort Su wasn’t the only one feeling this way; Consort Fu and all who had accompanied them shared similar sentiments.

However, it turned into a mockery in Huaixi Province. They returned with their tails between their legs, feeling utterly dejected.

Now that they were back, they resumed their roles as the esteemed attendants of the Emperor. People were courteous and deferential, treating them with utmost respect whenever they encountered them.

Without Shao Yunduan’s backing, she wouldn’t dare act so boldly. She was merely a woman who relied on her husband for survival.
