Chapter 455: Daughters Or Revolutionaries?
Chapter 455: Daughters Or Revolutionaries?
Ragor faltered immediately.
A flash of panic crossed his eyes, so brief that most people might have missed it—but it was there.
Almost as if he knew exactly what Mika was talking about.
But then he quickly shook his head, forcing confidence back into his posture.
"What are you talking about?" He said, trying to sound dismissive. "I have no idea what you mean. Stop spouting nonsense!"
Mika shook his head lightly, still smiling.
"It seems with age you’ve lost the ability to retain memories."
Ragor’s jaw tightened, but before he could respond, Mika continued.
"Well, let me refresh your memory, since you seem to have forgotten such an important detail."
He leaned forward slightly, his smile never wavering as he announced to everyone,
"Your daughter...She’s a member of the Anti-Kwan Alliance, isn’t she?"
The moment those words left his mouth, gasps erupted throughout the entire hall.
People turned to each other in shock and horror.
"No way—that can’t be true!"
"Is he serious?!"
"If he’s telling the truth, if her daughter really belongs to that alliance—oh my God, this is insane!"
The revelation was genuinely shocking.
The realm that Ragor belonged to was under the nominal rule of a figure known as King Kwan.
He was tyrannical king who had caused multiple genocides, orchestrated devastating famines, and wreaked unimaginable havoc across his territory for decades.
Even though his direct power had been significantly curtailed and a new governing council now handled most administrative functions, Kwan himself was still operating behind the scenes.
Everyone knew this. The public was well aware.
And they absolutely despised him for it.
The people wanted him taken down, executed, or at the very least imprisoned for his crimes.
But the current ruling party—the conservative coalition that included Ragor refused to allow that.
They protected Kwan no matter how much the public protested, claiming political stability required maintaining the status quo.
Because of this, massive protests had been ongoing for years.
And one of the most prominent organizations leading the charge against Kwan’s continued existence was the Anti-Kwan Alliance—a political party dedicated solely to bringing justice to all the people Kwan had killed and made suffer.
The fact that Ragor’s daughter belonged to such an organization was earth-shattering.
Because Ragor himself was a high-ranking member of the very ruling party that was supposed to protect Kwan, to prevent anything from happening to him.
His daughter being part of the opposition made him look like either a hypocrite or a traitor to his own stated principles.
That’s why everyone was reacting with such shock.
And Ragor himself was completely flustered, his scales shifting through multiple colors in rapid succession—a clear sign of emotional turmoil in his species.
"Shut up!"
He shouted, his voice cracking slightly.
"Shut up, you brat! You don’t know what you’re talking about! Stop saying such unnecessary, slanderous things! You’re speaking complete nonsense!"
But Mika just smirked.
"Oh, really?" He said calmly.
Then, with deliberate casualness, he pulled out a small remote control from his pocket.
He pressed a button.
The moment he did, looks of absolute horror and shock spread throughout the hall.
People stood up from their seats, trying to get a closer look at what had just appeared.
This was because on the massive holographic screen hovering above the entire assembly hall—visible to every single person present—images began displaying.
Photographs.
Clear, high-resolution photographs showing Ragor’s daughter meeting with known members of the Anti-Kwan Alliance!
Not just one or two pictures.
Dozens of them!
Different locations. Different dates. Different members of the organization.
It was undeniable, irrefutable proof that she belonged to the alliance.
While everyone stared in stunned silence, Mika leaned back in his chair casually, grabbing the microphone.
"So, what do you say, Mr. Ragor?" He asked pleasantly. "Are you going to claim these pictures are fake? Are you going to tell me I manipulated them somehow?"
He shook his head with mock sympathy.
"Because if you’re planning to do that, I should mention—I also have quite a bit more evidence."
"Audio recordings of certain meetings. Documented plans. Communication logs. All of which would very definitively prove your daughter’s involvement with the Anti-Kwan Alliance."
The moment he said that, Ragor absolutely panicked.
"No! No, no, no—it’s all right! T-There’s no need for that!" He said desperately, waving his hands. "There’s no need to show anything else!"
His reaction essentially confirmed everything.
He already knew about his daughter’s involvement with the alliance.
There had been many times when she’d wanted to speak out publicly about it, wanted to reveal her true beliefs to the world.
But Ragor had always kept it under wraps, using every means at his disposal to ensure it was never revealed—because if it became public knowledge, his entire reputation would go up in flames.
There had even been a time when he’d locked his daughter in her room for an entire month, restricting her food and water as punishment, trying to teach her a lesson about family loyalty.
But even then, she’d remained completely stubborn about her beliefs, refusing to give them up.
Eventually, he’d simply given up trying to change her and had instead focused all his energy on maintaining his public image.
But now that carefully constructed facade was being completely demolished.
And what was even worse—this boy, this Mika, was claiming he had even more evidence. Evidence that could potentially implicate Ragor himself in various scandals.
So he immediately backpedaled.
But Mika just gave him a teasing smile.
"Really, Mr. Ragor?" He said innocently. "Evidence like this should be shared publicly, shouldn’t it? I went through quite a lot of effort to gather all of this. I have so much more I could show everyone."
"No, no, no—it’s all right! There’s no need!" Ragor practically begged, his earlier arrogance completely shattered. "Please, just stop there!"
Seeing the guilt and panic written so clearly across his face, everyone in the hall now understood what was happening.
This boy who had seemingly come out of nowhere—who they’d all assumed would be easy to dismiss or intimidate was actually the one preying on them.
But just when everyone thought things were already catastrophic enough—
It got worse.
Mika suddenly shifted his attention, turning to point at another demi-human conservative official sitting several seats away.
"Mr. Leifor." He said cheerfully, addressing a man with prominent tiger-like ears and striped markings. "You also have a daughter, don’t you?"
Leifor visibly jumped in his seat, his ears flattening against his head in alarm.
"Y-Yes." He stammered nervously. "Yes, I do. What about it?"
Mika’s smile took on that same sinister quality again.
"Do you know..." He said slowly, savoring each word. "...that your daughter is a prominent member of the Matriarchal Establishment Party in your realm?"
Another round of shocked gasps erupted throughout the hall.
"Oh my God—it can’t be true!"
"There’s no way!"
"Is he really serious?!"
This revelation was equally damning.
Leifor’s home realm was notoriously male-dominated, to an extent that bordered on systematic oppression.
Women were treated essentially as servants or property, with males having complete legal and social control.
But in recent times, with the emergence of powerful female figures and the spread of more progressive ideals, movements had begun forming to challenge this status quo.
New organizations were pushing for equality, for women’s rights, for dignity and autonomy.
However, these movements were strictly forbidden by the conservative ruling faction—the very faction that Leifor belonged to.
So the fact that his own daughter was part of such a party was absolutely shocking.
Leifor himself looked like he might faint, his face going pale beneath his fur.
"I—I—I—" He stuttered, unable to form coherent words.
But before he could finish whatever he was trying to say, Mika interrupted cheerfully.
"Do you also want evidence?" He asked brightly, already reaching for the remote again. "I can show plenty of documentation about that too. Just give me a second—"
"No! No, no, please don’t!" Leifor practically shouted, standing up from his seat. "Please, just stop right there!"
But Mika pretended not to hear, his finger hovering over the button.
"Please, just let me show a couple of photos that I gathered." He said with exaggerated enthusiasm. "And maybe those meeting transcripts where she discusses strategies for challenging the current government structure."
"It took me so much effort to collect all of this—"
"No! Please, I’m begging you!" Leifor cried out desperately. "There’s no need! There’s absolutely no need! We have no problems between us! None at all!"
He sat down obediently, his entire body trembling, a terrified look in his eyes as he already imagined the devastating consequences this revelation would bring.
But the nightmare wasn’t over. Not even close.
Mika wasn’t satisfied at all.
He went around the room, systematically pointing at different conservative delegates, one after another.
"And you, Councilwoman Vesper. You have a daughter too, don’t you? What do you think she’s been up to while you’ve been here?"
"What about you President Axel? Do you know the people you’re daughter is roaming around with?"
"And how I could forget your Mrs Giava. Let me remind you what your daughter has been up to as well."
He asked similar questions about their daughters.
And every single time, he would casually mention some organization or movement that these family members belonged to—groups that directly contradicted or opposed the political positions their parents publicly supported.
Every single time, the officials would panic.
Because Mika would reveal these uncomfortable truths, demonstrating that he had evidence—hard, irrefutable evidence—of their family members involvement in these supposedly forbidden activities.
And every single time they started to protest or deny it, Mika would cheerfully offer to show more documentation, more proof.
Which would immediately cause them to back down in abject terror.
Because allowing him to present that evidence publicly would throw them into even deeper disgrace, would potentially implicate them in various scandals and hypocrisies.
So they obediently sat still and didn’t speak another word.
One by one, the most vocal and aggressive members of the conservative coalition were being systematically dismantled.
Soon, the entire debate hall had descended into controlled pandemonium.
The demi-human faction that had been so confident just minutes ago was now being completely tamed by Mika’s methodical revelations.
The human delegates couldn’t believe what they were witnessing.
This boy that Nadia had brought seemingly out of nowhere was controlling the entire room so easily, turning the tables on every single opponent.
They thought they must be dreaming.
And Nadia herself—even though she’d been just as surprised as everyone else by the evidence he possessed—couldn’t help but feel overwhelming pride swelling in her chest.
She looked at him with so much affection and admiration in her eyes.
’My brilliant, incredible son.’
