SSS-Class MILFs And Their Yandere Daughters, I Want Them All!

Chapter 615: Let Me Share Your Burden

Chapter 615: Let Me Share Your Burden

Mika’s smile faded. He looked at her with surprise.

“You could have shouted!” Charlotte continued, her voice trembling.

“You could have moaned. You could have whimpered. You could have done whatever you needed to do to make the pain more bearable!”

“But INSTEAD, you held it all INSIDE! You pretended everything was FINE! You acted like you weren’t suffering at all!”

Her hands clenched into fists at her sides.

“Do you really think I’m so weak that I can’t handle hearing you in pain? Do you really think I’m so fragile that I would shatter just from witnessing your suffering?”

Tears welled up in her eyes again.

“You’re the one who’s suffering, Mika! You’re the one taking all the pain! So why won’t you let me share even a little bit of that burden?!”

She grabbed his hand, squeezing it tight.

“Am I really so useless in your eyes? Am I really just a glass princess who will break the moment she sees the real world!?”

The question hung in the air between them, heavy with hurt and desperation.

Mika stared at her tear-streaked face, her trembling lips, her eyes that were filled with so much love and grief and frustration.

And finally, he sighed.

“It’s…not that.” He said quietly. “It’s not that I think you’re weak, Charlotte. It’s just that I was trying to protect your mind.”

Charlotte frowned. “What do you mean?”

“Your blessing revolves entirely around your consciousness. Your mental state. It requires stability to function at its full potential.”

Mika’s voice was serious now, taking on the tone he always used when explaining something important.

“So, if you experienced severe trauma or developed PTSD—it could fundamentally damage your blessing. It might not manifest properly.”

“In the worst case…”

He hesitated.

“In the worst case, you might not be able to use it at all.”

Charlotte stared at him. For a long moment, she didn’t say anything.

Then, to his surprise, she shouted.

“That’s IT?! THAT’S your REASON?!”

Mika blinked. “I…yes?”

“You held in all that pain and let yourself be tortured in silence because you were worried about my blessing?!”

“Charlotte, your blessing is a SSS-class ability. If it reaches its full potential—”

“I DON’T CARE ABOUT MY BLESSING!”

The words echoed through the library.

Charlotte was breathing hard, her chest heaving, her eyes blazing with a ferocity that Mika had never seen in her before.

“But I thought you loved your blessing.” He said quietly.

“I do love my blessing!” Charlotte grabbed his shoulders, forcing him to look directly at her.

“But I love you more, Mika! So much more! More than any blessing! More than any power! More than anything in the entire world!”

Her voice broke.

“How could you think I would care about some stupid blessing when you’re suffering right in front of me? How could you think I would choose power over you?”

She pressed her forehead against his.

“I-I just want you to be alright. I want you to be safe.”

She buried her face in his chest again.

“So don’t you dare hold back for my sake. Don’t you dare suffer in silence to protect me!”

“If you’re in pain, let me share it. If you’re hurting, let me help you carry it. That’s what family does, Mika. That’s what love is.”

Mika closed his mouth. He didn’t know what to say.

He had always been the protector, the one who took on everyone else’s burdens. The idea of sharing his pain, of letting someone else carry even a fraction of his suffering was foreign to him.

He was silent for a long moment. Then, very softly, he said.

“Charlotte…I’m sorry.”

But she immediately pulled back and glared at him.

“Don’t apologize.”

“But—”

“You have nothing to apologize for. Nothing!” Her voice was fierce.

“The one who should be apologizing is me! I’m the one who got us into this mess. I’m the one who didn’t listen to you. I’m the one who—”

“Charlotte.”

“—who was so stubborn and reckless and—”

“Charlotte.”

“—and if I had just listened to you for once in my life—”

“CHARLOTTE.”

She stopped. Mika was looking at her with an expression that was equal parts exasperated and affectionate.

“You’re doing it again.” He said.

“Doing what?”

“Blaming yourself for something that isn’t your fault.” He shook his head. “Yes, you made a mistake. Yes, you should have been more careful.”

“But you didn’t force Marcus to become a monster. You didn’t make him torture all those people. You just stumbled into something that was already here.”

“But—”

“No buts.” His voice didn’t allow any arguments. “You’re not responsible for his actions. So stop apologizing. Stop feeling guilty. And start focusing on what we’re going to do next.”

Charlotte wiped her eyes. “And what are we going to do next?”

“We’re going to get out of here.”

She stared at him in pure confusion.

“How can you be so certain? Look at this place, Mika.” She gestured at the library around them. “It looks like a home, but it’s a prison! A prison inside his sick, twisted mind!”

“We can’t escape from here. We can’t—”

“We will.” Mika’s voice was absolute. “I promise you, Charlotte. We will get out of here.”

“But how? I’m useless in this situation. I have a SSS-class blessing and I can’t even use it properly. I haven’t reached the potential I need to break us out. I’m completely powerless.”

“You’re not powerless. You’re here. You’re with me. That’s enough.”

“Mika—”

“Charlotte.”

He looked at her with such steady, unwavering confidence that her protests died in her throat.

“I promise you. No matter what it takes. No matter how long we have to endure. We will escape from this place. I will find a way. Do you believe me?”

Charlotte searched his eyes. She saw the exhaustion there. The pain. The darkness that lurked beneath the surface.

But she also saw a will that refused to surrender. A determination that no amount of torture could destroy.

“I believe you.” She whispered before hesitantly adding, “But how long? How long will it take?”

Mika’s expression flickered.

“Probably…a couple more days. Maybe more. I don’t know the exact number.”

“A couple more DAYS?!” Charlotte’s voice rose in alarm. “Mika, he’ll torture you again during those days! He won’t let you off! He’s already planning what he’s going to do to you tomorrow!”

“HOW CAN YOU HANDLE MORE OF THAT?!”

“Don’t worry about me.” Mika gave her a reassuring smile. “Your Mika is much stronger than you think.”

“No matter what he does to me, no matter how much he brutalizes me or tortures me, I won’t give in. I won’t break.”

“How…?” Charlotte’s voice was barely a whisper. “How can you be so sure?”

“Because if anything happens to me, something will happen to you.” His eyes met hers. “And that means I’ll never give in. No matter what.”

Charlotte felt tears prick at her eyes again. Here he was bound to a chair, tortured within an inch of his sanity, facing days more of the same horror and he was still thinking of her. Still protecting her. Still putting her safety above his own suffering.

“Mika…” Her voice cracked

“Stop. No more crying. I’ve heard enough crying for one day—yours and mine both.”

He gave her a mischievous smile as he said,

“Let’s change the pace. There are so many books in this library. Surely at least a few of them are decent.”

He nodded toward the shelves.

“Can you find one and read it to me? A good story would make me feel much better.”

Charlotte blinked, surprised by the sudden change in subject.

Then, slowly, a smile spread across her face.

“Of course, Mika! Anything you want!”

She scrambled to her feet and rushed over to the bookshelves, running her fingers along the spines.

“What kind of story do you want? Adventure? Mystery? Romance?”

She glanced back at him with a teasing grin.

“I could read you a romance if you want. There’s probably something with knights and princesses and true love’s kiss.”

“Something light-hearted.” Mika said. “Nothing too complicated. My brain is tired.”

“Light-hearted, light-hearted, light-hearted…”

Charlotte muttered to herself as she scanned the shelves. Then her face lit up.

“I found it!”

She pulled out a thick, worn volume and hurried back to Mika’s side, holding it up for him to see.

The cover was old and faded, but the title was still legible: Midnight Fairy Tales.

“This is perfect!” Charlotte said, her earlier despair momentarily forgotten.

“Mama used to read this to me when I was little. I would always fall asleep to her voice while she told me stories about brave heroes and magical creatures and happily ever afters.”

“You’re still little.” Mika pointed out.

“Shush.” Charlotte pulled a chair up beside him and settled into it, opening the book on her lap. “It has beautiful illustrations too. Look.”

She flipped through the pages, showing him the intricate drawings—castles and dragons and fairy queens rendered in faded but still lovely detail.

“This definitely helped me sleep through the nightmares I used to have.” Charlotte said. “So it should be perfect for you too!”

Mika nodded. “Alright. Read me some stories. Start with your favorites.”

Charlotte took his restrainted hand in hers and began to read.

“Once upon a time.” She began, her voice soft and melodic. “In a kingdom far beyond the reach of mortal maps, there lived a princess who was beloved by all who knew her…”

Charlotte didn’t just read the words. She performed them.

When a brave knight appeared in the story, she deepened her voice and swung an imaginary sword.

When a cunning fox entered the tale, she scrunched up her face and spoke in a sly, clever tone.

When a dragon roared, she roared too,.a sound so unexpectedly fierce that Mika couldn’t help but laugh.

“Was that supposed to be a dragon?” He asked. “You sounded like an angry kitten.”

“Hey! I’m doing my best!” Charlotte pouted. “Do you want me to keep reading or not?”

“I do. Please continue, Lady Charlotte. Your angry kitten dragon is very intimidating.”

Charlotte huffed but couldn’t suppress her smile.

She continued reading, and as she did, something magical happened.

The darkness that had settled over them began to lift.

The pain and terror of the past hours slowly receded, replaced by the simple comfort of stories and companionship.

Author’s Note:

The next few chapters are going to be brutal, but absolutely necessary, as things aren’t nearly as straightforward as they seem, and you’ll understand why as the story unfolds.

Don’t worry, though. The payoff will be worth it.

Every ounce of suffering Mika endures…he’ll repay tenfold.
