Chapter 407: A Touch of Blue in the Occupied Zone

All the Chaotic Energy within a one-light-year radius was instantly devoured by the sword energy. The energy traversed hundreds of light-years in an instant, slashing towards one of the men.

That cultivator was completely unprepared. The space for nearly a million miles around him was directly cleaved into nothingness by the sword energy, and he himself was annihilated along with it!

The remaining three were utterly horrified and immediately turned to flee.

This scene, however, was captured by the numerous array flags the squad had previously set up and fed back to the allied forces.

The allied army, centered around thirteen main cities and over a thousand auxiliary cities, had spread its forces outward, adopting an encirclement strategy as they rapidly advanced towards the Seven Stars God Realm Sea.

During this encirclement, they were purging all life. Those willing to submit were absorbed into the cities. Those unwilling were expelled, gradually clearing out the various facilities previously established by the Seven Stars Sect. They advanced step by step, fortifying each position, steadily pushing forward.

In one direction, Star Han City was advancing steadily.

Centered on Star Han City, it was connected to the many array flags deployed along the way, forming a tight defensive and surveillance system.

The Star Han King, along with two other Kings and numerous Elders, were observing a topographical projection within the main hall.

From the periphery inward, the entire battlefield map was divided into ten thousand concentric layers.

Over this period, the outermost hundred layers had almost entirely been covered by the gray of the Void Alliance. The blue glow representing the Seven Stars God Realm Sea had completely dimmed in these areas.

Now, the main city had already crossed the hundredth layer and was rapidly advancing towards the hundred and tenth.

However, after some time, an Elder noticed an anomaly in the 91st layer from the outside. A canyon that had previously turned gray was now replaced by the blue of the Seven Stars God Realm Sea, standing out starkly amidst a sea of gray.

He couldn't help but speak up, "What's the situation here?"

Many people looked over and were taken aback.

One Elder said dismissively, "It's just a small canyon."

"Regardless of the scale of the threat, if there are still people from the Seven Stars God Realm Sea there, it needs to be dealt with promptly!" another voice offered an opinion.

The Star Han King glanced at it and asked, "Which Elder is responsible for this sector?"

An old man with green hair stepped forward and bowed, "Reporting to the Star Han King, that is the sector under my subordinate's management."

An avatar of Elder Tie Xin immediately descended upon an auxiliary city and retrieved intelligence from that location. Soon, he saw the scenes of Su Yuan defeating two groups of people.

He pondered briefly before issuing an order: "Order the Seventh Large Squad to dispatch personnel to occupy the nameless canyon and eliminate Su Yuan! Mission time limit: one hundred years."

A mission message was immediately sent down to the Seventh Large Squad of the Tie Xin Army.

Upon receiving the message, the captain of the Seventh Large Squad dispatched a twelve-member squad composed of Wuji Realm cultivators, along with a support force of one hundred Rogue Cultivators, to carry out the mission.

It was the members of the Ninth Small Squad who received the order. The twelve Wuji Realm cultivators prepared themselves, mustered the hundred Rogue Cultivators, and via city teleportation, descended near the nameless canyon.

Then, the hundred-plus individuals charged headlong into the canyon in one go.

In the squad's view, this level of force dealing with a single Tai Chi Realm cultivator was an absolute breeze.

A Wuji Realm small squad leader stumbled and staggered his way out of the canyon entrance.

Yet, a streak of sword energy behind him was even faster. Though it struck later, it arrived first, piercing through his chest. The sword energy passed through his torso, reducing his body to dust.

The terror in the squad leader's eyes didn't even have time to fully manifest before he lost any chance to do so.

In the blink of an eye, over ninety years passed.

Star Han City had already advanced to the 350th layer region. The area behind Star Han City had almost entirely turned gray. Ahead of the city, vast swathes of blue radiance were rapidly dimming as well. The progress was extremely encouraging.

The Star Han King had been cultivating with his eyes closed, absorbing the portion of Near Imperial-level resources bestowed upon him by the Voidless Heavenly Emperor.

During a break in his cultivation, he opened his eyes and scanned the area behind the city. Amidst the expanse of gray, a single spot of blue radiance stood out glaringly, drawing his gaze.

"Elder Tie Xin, has that canyon still not been occupied?" the Star Han King frowned slightly.

Tie Xin was startled. He hadn't expected the Star Han King to pay such close attention to this matter. In his view, its importance wasn't that great.

"Reporting to the Star Han King, I previously issued an order to resolve it within a hundred years. It should be almost done!"

"Mmm."

The Star Han King nodded and closed his eyes again.

Beside Elder Tie Xin, another Elder chuckled, "Tie Xin, are you actually capable? Such a tiny valley, and after all this time, you still haven't managed to occupy it. Should I give you a hand?"

Elder Tie Xin snorted coldly, "I don't need your interference, Chang Jiu. This is just a minor nuisance."

Chang Jiu laughed heartily. Being able to mock Tie Xin once put him in a good mood, but he didn't harp on the matter. It truly was just a minor affair.

Tie Xin's avatar descended upon Tie Xin Auxiliary City and summoned the commander of the Seventh Large Squad.

"Tie He, what the hell are you doing? Why hasn't that nameless canyon mission been resolved yet?" Tie Xin demanded coldly.

Tie He was taken aback. "You mean...?"

"The mission I assigned over ninety years ago. You haven't dealt with it yet?" Tie Xin's tone was unfriendly.

Tie He checked the mission in question and discovered that the squad hadn't reported back for over ninety years.

He said awkwardly, "Elder, I may have overlooked it. I will definitely complete it within the deadline."

"Mmm. Be quick about it!"

Tie Xin's avatar dissipated.

Tie He frowned and checked the life signatures of the squad members.

Then he discovered that all squad members had perished, but not completely died. They had resurrected within the Star Han Kingdom on the Chaos Continent.

Consequently, the military system wouldn't report them as casualties in action. And for those squad members to report the news themselves, it wasn't something that could be transmitted to the Chaotic Sea in a mere ninety years.

"They were all defeated?"

He immediately realized that within that canyon was a squad of not insignificant strength.

"Since the Elder himself has inquired, I'd better lead a team to handle it personally!"
