Chapter 2667: Little Fubuki’s Teasing

Chapter 2667: Little Fubuki’s Teasing

Sometime later, we reached Fuyu’s neighborhood. Hana decided to wait outside their street while I walked Fuyu up to their gates. After all, we could already see Fubuki peeking with her small head, clearly waiting for her Onee-chan to arrive.

The moment we approached their gates, the little girl ran out, her tiny feet pattering against the pavement as she launched herself at me instead of Fuyu with a gleeful squeal, "Onii-chan, you’re here! Did you take care of my Onee-chan?"

I caught Fubuki and scooped her up with a grin as her small arms wrapped around my neck. “Of course, I took care of your Onee-chan, Fubuki-chan. I also pampered her. And obviously, I gotta make sure she gets home safe, right?”

Fubuki giggled as her eyes sparkled under the streetlight’s glow. “Yup! You’re the best, Onii-chan!”

She planted a quick, innocent peck on my cheek before squirming to be let down. I set her on the ground. She immediately grabbed Fuyu’s hand and then teasingly snickered, “Come on, Onee-chan! Tell me how Onii-chan pampered you! Are you still going to deny that... like Akane-nee, you fell in love with him?”

Fuyu shot me an exasperated glare as her cheeks turned faintly pink from her little sister’s question.

Honestly, I was surprised too. Fubuki wasn’t going to take no for an answer anymore. After all, Fuyu wasn’t that great at acting like nothing was brewing between us.

“You little. Stop teasing your onee-chan. I won’t bring you to their house again next time.” She gently poked Fubuki’s forehead but that didn’t erase the grin from the little girl.

"Hehehe, I’ll get you to spill the beans eventually, Onee-chan!” Fubuki playfully stuck out her tongue as she tugged Fuyu toward the gate. The little girl’s teasing was relentless and I couldn’t help but chuckle at how effortlessly she could always put her older sister on the spot.

Fuyu sighed, her blush deepening as she glanced back at me. “You’re enjoying this too much, Ruki-kun.”

“Well, you’re both adorable. How can I not?” I replied with a grin as I stepped closer to her.

“Hmph. Keep talking, and I’ll make sure you’re the one blushing next time.”

“Hmm? Now, I’d like to see you try that,” I shot back teasingly as I sneakily grabbed her other arm, giving it a gentle squeeze.

Fubuki, oblivious to the tension, tugged at Fuyu’s hand again, breaking the moment.

“Come onnn, Onee-chan! Stop flirting with Onii-chan and let’s go inside!” she whined, though her grin said she was loving every second of this. "Or what? If you’re gonna invite him inside, do so already. Mama will be glad too!"

"Alright. Just give us one second, Fubuki." Fuyu turned to her little sister who once again grinned at her as if saying ’I knew what you’re thinking of doing, Onee-chan’. Still, the little girl winked at me before hopping away.

Fuyu and I watched the little girl skip back toward the house, her giggles echoing in the quiet night.

The moment she was out of earshot, Fuyu turned to me. The streetlight cast a warm glow over her, highlighting her beautiful figure, faint flush on her cheeks and the way her lips curved into a subtle, almost mischievous smile.

“Ruki-kun,” She murmured as she closed in our distance, enough for her supple front to press against my chest. “You’re gonna pay for letting Fubuki tease me like that.”

“Oh?” I raised an eyebrow, my hands instinctively finding her waist, pulling her even closer. Naturally, I kept an eye out behind her. Who knows? Fubuki and her mother might’ve been watching from a gap at their front door. “And how exactly do you plan to make me pay, Fuyu?”

Her eyes shifted down and focused on my lips, then they went back up to meet my gaze. “You’ll see. Next time I have you alone, I’m not holding back.”

That’s such a great line. It made my heart throb a bit. “Good. I’m looking forward to it.”

Before she could respond, I closed the distance between our faces and captured her lips in a passionate kiss, enough to take her breath away.

Her fingers curled into my shirt as she melted into the sensation. With that, I deepened our kiss as her lips parted slightly, inviting me in. I gladly took that invitation, while at the same time ensuring that we’re not doing something too risque for a child’s eye.

A minute later, Fuyu pulled back first, her breath slightly ragged with her cheeks now a vivid pink. “I... love your kisses.”

“Mhm. I’ll give you more next time,” I teased, stealing one last quick kiss before stepping back. “Go inside before Fubuki comes back and starts a full interrogation.”

Fuyu rolled her eyes but smiled, giving my hand one final squeeze as she stepped inside their yard, “Goodnight, Ruki-kun. Don’t keep Hana waiting too long.”

I watched her disappear into their property, the gate creaking softly as it closed.

Only after making sure she’s not going to open it again did I turn back to where Hana was waiting at the edge of the street.

Her arms were crossed, her golden eye catching the light as she watched me approach, a mix of impatience and something softer in her expression.

“Took you long enough,” She said with a sharp tone as though she’s about to impale me with her gaze. “What, did you two need a whole makeout session to say goodnight?”

I chuckled as I took my place beside her again, my arm tugging her away from the street. “Jealous, Hana? Don’t be. You know I’ll pamper you just the same. Now... let’s go before Tomori-san scolds me for escorting you home this late."

Hana clicked her tongue before saying, “You’re lucky I love this whole... escorting me home every time I go home with you.”

“What? Do you expect me to just let you go home by yourself?”

“No... But knowing you, you’d probably escort each of your girls home if that’s physically possible at all. And I hate thinking how much you’re dividing yourself over us.”

“Come on. How many times will I say I’m not dividing anything? I’m devoting myself to all of you. You’re all getting the same.”

“Yeah, right. It’s easy math, idiot Ruki. You’re still dividing yourself into equal parts to give us all the same treatment. Ugh... let’s stop talking about this...” Hana pouted and then hastened her pace a bit, leaving me a step behind her.

I couldn’t help but shake my head as I followed after her. I caught up to her quite quickly but instead of returning to her side, I closed in behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist, pulling her gently against me as we walked. Her body tensed for a moment, but I could feel her relax almost immediately. Her warmth seeped into me as she leaned back slightly.

If someone saw us like this, they’d surely point at us for public display of affection. Luckily, the streets were already deserted at this time.

“Don’t think you can just hug your way out of this, Ruki,” Hana sternly muttered. However, the slight quiver in her voice betrayed how much she was enjoying the closeness. Her hands rested over mine, holding them in place.

“Who said I’m trying to get out of anything?” I whispered into her ear, nibbling her lobe gently. “I’m just making sure my Hana gets the attention she deserves. Can’t have you feeling left out, can I?”

She let out a soft huff, her head tilting just enough to glance at me from the corner of her golden eye. “I’m not feeling left out! And... stop being such a smooth talker, you idiot. No wonder you’ve got half the girls in school wrapped around your finger.”

“Only half?” I teasingly replied as I tightened my grip on her waist, slowing down our pace. “I must be slacking then.”

Hana elbowed me lightly, but her lips curved into a reluctant smile. “Don’t push your luck, idiot. But knowing you... It’s more than likely for you to succeed in charming everyone. And I hate to see that... Stop dividing yourself..."

Ending that with a soft exhale as though she’s only airing out her frustration, Hana’s words lingered in the air.

The way she said that was clearly filled with both exasperation and concern. She’s still wrestling with the complexity of my relationships, even as she clung to me.

Her hands tightened over mine, as if assuring me that she wouldn’t leave me. No matter what.

I couldn’t help but smile at how her tough exterior always cracked just enough to show the girl who cared so deeply.

“Alright, alright. No more dividing talk. Just you and me right now, okay? Let’s make this walk home something you won’t forget.”

How would I do that? Well, we’ve got to start by making the most of what little time we have.

Before continuing our walk, we shared a kiss under the moonlight, forgetting that we were in the middle of the street.
