Chapter 506: Chapter 4: The Grand Finale: Surpassing the Divine

"Lynn."

The three of them stopped and turned around. They saw the student council president, Li Yutang, standing on the library steps, holding a folder with an expression as indifferent as ever.

She was tall and had an outstanding demeanor, exuding an innate authority simply by standing there.

Her gaze swept over Yan Qing, who was linking arms with Lynn, then over the blushing face of Su Wan beside her, and finally rested on Lynn’s face as she slowly spoke, "It’s good I ran into you. About the venue application you submitted for next month’s campus science and culture festival, there’s a small issue that needs some details to be confirmed."

As she spoke, she walked down the steps, opened the folder, and handed it to Lynn.

Since Lynn’s hands were both occupied—his left held by Yan Qing and his right holding Su Wan’s books—she naturally held up the document in front of him, her slender finger pointing to a specific clause.

"There will be many technology exhibits at this festival. The space you applied for is a bit small. I think it’s better to switch to the newly built gymnasium."

Her explanation was clear and concise, and a faint, pleasant fragrance subtly wafted over with her approach.

Yan Qing blinked, looking at Li Yutang, who had almost leaned towards Lynn, and pouted slightly but said nothing.

She just didn’t let go of Lynn’s arm.

Su Wan became even more reserved, instinctively shrinking behind Lynn in the face of this famous, strong-auraed president.

Lynn looked at the document so close at hand and Li Yutang’s earnest and serious expression, yet he could keenly detect a barely perceptible nuance in her eyes that wasn’t entirely official business.

He nodded, "Okay, I understand. I’ll have the students in charge modify and resubmit the proposal as soon as possible."

"Mm," Li Yutang closed the folder, her gaze seemed to unintentionally glance at the books he was holding, then looked at the two girls beside him, and added in a bland tone, "Your body has just recovered, don’t overwork yourself."

This sounded like routine concern from a student council officer to a regular student.

But coming from the famously concise Li Yutang, it seemed a bit unusual.

After speaking, she nodded slightly to Yan Qing and Su Wan as a greeting and turned to leave with poised steps, her figure upright and elegant.

"The president really is caring," Yan Qing murmured somewhat teasingly while watching Li Yutang’s back, then shook Lynn’s arm, "Alright, alright, hurry up and send off little Wan, we still need to catch a movie!"

Lynn helped Su Wan take her books to the designated reading area in the library.

Su Wan blushed again as she thanked him, her eyes filled with reluctance.

Leaving the library, Yan Qing pulled Lynn quickly towards the school gate.

"Ah, I almost forgot!" she suddenly remembered something, took a thermos from her small bag, and handed it to Lynn, "Here, it’s rock candy pear soup my mom made. She insisted I bring you some, said it’s good for relieving cough and improving recovery. Drink up, drink up!"

Lynn unscrewed the lid, and a sweet aroma greeted him.

He took a sip, the warm liquid slid down his throat, bringing a comfortable warmth.

The sun was shining, casting its light on the vibrant smiles of the girls around him, and in the distance, Li Yutang was seemingly still instructing student council members. By the library window, perhaps Su Wan was secretly watching them.

No clashing swords, no betrayal and sacrifice, no endless pain and death.

Just the worries of youth, subtle affection, slightly jealous teasing, and a cup of warm, sweet soup.

This ordinary and mundane daily life, this feeling of being cared for and remembered, was an extravagance bordering on the surreal for Lynn, who had just escaped countless cycles of despair.

He took a deep breath of the sunlight and grass-scented air, feeling the steady heartbeat in his chest, and his mouth involuntarily curved into a small, real smile.

This sugar-coated daily life, regardless of whether a greater storm is hiding behind it, he genuinely felt the warmth at this moment.

In the days that followed, Lynn sat in the bright and clean classroom, listening to the teacher explain function formulas on the platform, his gaze cast towards the brilliant sunshine outside the window.

In reality, he excelled academically, lived a prosperous life, and even though they knew he had an official girlfriend, Li Yutang and Su Wan were unwilling to give up.

Everything seemed to be moving in a positive direction. Perhaps no one could resist such a wonderful life.

Su Wan, Li Yutang, and Yan Qing, together encapsulated all the fantasies a young man has about the opposite sex.

Perhaps forgetting all that happened in that dream wouldn’t be such a bad choice.

At this moment, the Prisoner of Destiny silently observed the figure in the cocoon gradually merging with the Law of Fate, its boundaries becoming increasingly blurred.

The plan was progressing smoothly as anticipated.

Just a little longer, and this unique existence, Lynn, would have his final "true name" completely eroded and rewritten by destiny, thus fully inheriting its Authority.

At that point, the shackles that had imprisoned it for endless eons would shatter, freeing it from the eternal watcher’s duty, granting it the long-desired freedom.

Such thoughts had just surfaced in its vast consciousness, with a slight release of tension.

Yet one night, Lynn came alone to the edge of the rooftop.

"Come out."

Clearly, his will and perseverance exceeded the Prisoner of Destiny’s expectations, and he had awakened from this illusory dream.
