Chapter 6 – Air Conditioner!
Somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought I could handle it because I had gathered proper information beforehand and was at a high level, but the desert journey was grueling. Just when we reached an inconspicuous place far from the trade routes, I felt like my heart was about to break.

When the drinking break was over and the second Panther was summoned, a body of a different color emerged from the magic circle.
The first one was white and conspicuous, but the second one was red and also very conspicuous.

Oh, I forgot to put on the ship’s disguise. I stop Alessia-san and the others from getting into Pal No. 2, and both Pal No. 1 and Pal No. 2 change their colors to a sandy color to match the desert.
The sound is out of control but will not be so noticeable from a distance.
When I get into Pal No. 1 and turn on the engine, a warm breeze comes out of the vents.
“Air conditioning!”
I had forgotten it existed, but the Pal No. 1 has air conditioning. I had never driven a convertible before, but I didn’t know that convertibles had air conditioning.
I was so happy that I operated the touch panel and turned the air conditioner on full blast.
“Wataru, it’s cool!”
“Yes, Marina, it’s cool!”
It took a while, but soon, a cool breeze blew out of the vents. Marina-san was in the passenger seat, and I squealed with delight.
The air conditioning is designed for convertibles, or maybe the airflow is stronger than expected, and the cool breeze reaches the back seat, causing Ines, Felicia, and Claretta to scream with delight.
Oops, I’ll have to teach Alessia-san and the others how to use the air conditioning. They know how to drive a car from the Ranger, but it’s hard for them to understand how to operate the air conditioner, isn’t it?

I stepped on the accelerator of Pal No. 1 in time with Marina-san’s voice.
Oh well, we were finally ready to go.
The cool breeze from the air conditioner made Alessia-san and the others cheer. It was so far, so good, but then a battle broke out between the driver’s and passenger’s seats.
The wind could reach the back seat, but it was cooler in the front. Heat makes people crazy.
We had to deal with it by changing seats at every break, but it wasn’t too bad.
The Pal No. 1 group consisted of five people. That means if I’m in the middle when I get in the back seat, I’m in close contact with the beautiful women on either side, even if it’s a little uncomfortable. Too bad they’re wearing thick clothes, but it’s still a treat.

While I was thinking, I heard a sharp voice coming from Ines. I knew something was wrong.
I am afraid to look away from the front in this situation, but since it seems to be an emergency, I release the accelerator and look directly behind me.

“Desert lizards are following us in groups.”
“Many of them are bigger than the lizards we knocked down on foot.”
That’s right, I forgot because driving in the desert was unexpectedly fun, but this was a world where monsters were common.
We were driving through such a world with our engines making loud noises, so of course, the monsters would chase us.
The armored scorpion and other desert monsters would probably have noticed us, but we probably left all of them behind except for the desert lizard because of our speed.
“Should we stop and hunt them down?”
If the ground was dirt, we could pull away even if they were chasing us, but it would be difficult to pull away when we were in the desert, and we had to be careful not to fall over.
A desert lizard is a desert lizard, no matter how big it is, and with the abilities of these members and the Ship Summoning barriers, it will be taken care of easily.

While everyone prepared for battle, I followed Marina-san’s instructions and headed for the top of the dune.
I was surprised that there was such a thing as a battle signal. I had been with them for a long time, but I didn’t know that.

When we arrived at the top of the dune and stopped the car, Pal No. 2 also stopped next to us, and Ilma-san, who was sitting in the passenger seat of Pal No. 2, spoke to us.
I nodded my head in agreement, and Alessia-san began to prepare for the battle by giving us instructions as well.
Her instructions to me were… to stay in the driver’s seat and wait quietly. If there’s time, she said, I can join the attack with Rimu.
Hmm… I guess a group of desert lizards is nothing to worry about for Alessia-san and the others. They seem to be concentrating on the battle but still seem somewhat relaxed.
Meanwhile, a cloud of sand arrives at the bottom of the dune and rushes up.

For a moment, I felt sorry for the desert lizards that were being overkill, but if Rimu wants to do it, there’s nothing to be done.
Rimu fired the light spear he learned from Claretta-san in rapid succession. The desert lizard shattered into pieces.

When I thought about it, the battle ended with time to spare, but this is where the hell began.
