Chapter 1227 Someone Else!

Red charged towards the side, leaving the team behind. Blue stayed with them.

"What are you doing?!" the Leader transmitted with horror. They needed everyone to get out of this mess! Why was Red suddenly charging towards one of the walls?!

"Trust me!" Kyle transmitted back.

Blue went to the front of the team and made a crooked fist, the middle joint of his right middle finger sticking out. He carried his hammer in his left hand.

A moment later, the joint hit the stone falling towards him.

DING!

The sound of something metallic hitting rock overshadowed the avalanche of noise coming from the rockslide. Kyle had disassembled his second Refined Law, giving him access to his Perfected Imposing Law. Assembling a Refined Law took time. Disassembling it was instantaneous.

Kyle's Imposing Law incorporated both aspects of using a weapon. It was not only about swinging a hammer but also about a hammer being swung. He didn't need to swing his hammer to use it. He could also use his hammer to swing himself.

The rocks above Blue exploded, but there were still stones left. At that moment, Blue gathered a ton of Energy and used it to expand the space even more. Finally, he attacked with his hammer again but didn't use his Imposing Law.

The others joined him, launching regular attacks.

Finally, they could see a path. Everyone gathered their Energy and made one last push.

BANG!

They broke through the last stone in the middle. There were still stones falling around him, but there were only a couple of scattered rocks in the middle. Avoiding them wouldn't be hard.

They were out.

Meanwhile...

DING! DING! DING! DING! DING!

Red shot through the solid wall, continuously using Perfected Imposing Law. Since it was at 100%, he didn't need to use any Energy. He could launch it however many times he wanted. Red's current depth wasn't nearly as high as when he was at the bottom of the hole. The ground around him also wasn't nearly as hard.

After some time, Red sensed a distant opening, and inside that opening was a Minor Immortal. It was a young woman with blonde hair. Surprisingly, she didn't wear a Communicator.

When she sensed Kyle, she furrowed her brows. "Identify yourself!" she ordered. "This is where I excavate!"

When Kyle sensed her, his eyes widened with hatred.

How had he known about the cave-in when the alert from his Formation Arrays had arrived later?

He had noticed that one of his Karmic Lines had subtly changed. However, that wasn't anything strange. Karmic Lines changed occasionally.

However, they usually only changed when someone was sensing Kyle. Almost always, this change in Karmic Luck led to someone in the Excursion Lobby who was probably talking about Team Ankylosaurus. Whenever that happened, Green could identify the person by following the Karmic Line.

But this time, the Karmic Line leading to Green had entered reality, which meant that he couldn't sense that person right now. Based on the change in Karmic Luck, Kyle could tell that someone had done something bad to him and that the person wasn't anywhere within any of his Divine Consciousnesses.

And right now, this Karmic Line was directly leading to that Minor Immortal!

Red kept charging forward, bursting through the stones.

"If you get any closer, I will attack!" she warned. "I've given you ample warning! If you keep ignoring my warning, I can kill you without losing any Karmic Luck!"

Red didn't answer and kept going.

The Minor Immortal narrowed her eyes and formed a palm. "Suit yourself!" she transmitted.

At the same time, Kyle swung his hammer. An illusory hammer appeared in front of the Minor Immortal, swinging right towards her.

She calmly repositioned herself so that the illusory hammer was perfectly between her and Red. Then, she moved her palm forward, creating an illusory palm.

BANG!

The illusory palm broke through the illusory hammer with relative ease. Yet, when she noticed how much her illusory palm had weakened, she furrowed her brows.

'That must've been all the Energy he has access to as a Beginner Immortal,' she thought. 'Is his Imposing Law better than mine?'

Luckily, she was a Minor Immortal. Her attack still had 60% of its power left.

As the palm approached Kyle, another illusory hammer appeared behind her. This one was completely red and seemingly warped reality.

When she sensed the power contained within this hammer, her eyes widened in horror.

'How?! He just used his Imposing Law! Even if he had a Perfected Imposing Law, he couldn't possibly use it in such quick succession!'

She tried to evade, but the illusory hammer stabilized reality with such dominance that all of her efforts were in vain. It was like the grade of this Law was so high that it eclipsed any of the Laws she knew! Left with no other choice, she released another palm strike at the hammer, but she couldn't use her Imposing Law.

Before the illusory palm reached Red, Karmic Calamity hit the Minor Immortal.

She was thrown into a world of darkness. Unending specters, filled with hatred, consumed her. She held out for as long as she could, but the escalating waves of specters were too much for her to bear.

Meanwhile, Kyle swung his hammer again.

BOOOOOOM!

The hammer and the illusory palm hit each other. A bunch of Energy blasted out of Red's body, but it wasn't nearly enough to kill him.

The Minor Immortal had been correct. One Avatar couldn't possibly use Imposing Laws in such quick succession.

However, Kyle wasn't here with only one Avatar.

The first illusory hammer had been used by the Energy in his hammer, which was also why it had collapsed so easily. Karmic Calamity had been used by Red. Since the illusory palm hadn't directly appeared beside Red, it needed to travel towards him first. This delay was big enough that the hammer could use its Imposing Law again to defend against it.

A short moment ago...

"If he's not listening to your warnings, you can kill him," the Ascending Immortal from Extended Family transmitted to an Avatar of the Minor Immortal. Both of them were in a room inside the headquarters of Extended Family.

"Affirmative," she transmitted.

Some small moments passed.

Suddenly, the Minor Immortal's eyes widened in horror. In response, the Ascending Immortal's eyes narrowed.

"Report!" the Ascending Immortal transmitted with urgency.

"He- no! I-I don't- someone else!" she transmitted. Despite the panic and chaos, she tried to give an accurate report.

But what was she supposed to report?!

First, she wanted to say that Kyle used an Imposing Law and a Refined Law at almost the same time.

But that was literally impossible! That was why she had tried to say that she didn't know.

But that also wouldn't work! She had to tell her superior something! She needed to warn them!

Since Kyle couldn't use an Imposing Law and a Refined Law at the same time, this Refined Law had to come from someone else. Unfortunately, Karmic Calamity had already been too close. The best she could do was to say, "someone else".

"Be clearer!" the Ascending Immortal transmitted with severity.

The Minor Immortal didn't react.

She just blankly stared into space.

Moments later, her body started to turn into dust, which dispersed into Pure Energy.

BOOOM!

The room exploded as an avalanche of valuables broke the walls.

The explosion alarmed everyone in the surroundings. Everyone knew that someone had just died, but that wasn't all. They also knew that someone had broken an important rule.

It was forbidden for a member to enter dangerous territories while one of their Avatars was within a constrained room within the headquarters for exactly this reason. Some of the walls contained Connections, leading to important Formation Arrays.
