Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 1229: Believe!

Chapter 1229: Believe!

By converting Energy Stones into materials, Kyle had fixed the material shortage. It was just quite expensive to fix it this way.

'We are so far down! There have to be some valuables!' he thought as he glared at the rock and stone as if they had just insulted him. 'We've spent such a long time creating this fucking funnel. This has to pay off! I really don't want another Immortal to fuck with this funnel. Although, if they're beatable, it might actually be a good thing. Free wealth.'

The team kept digging, and finally, Kyle's Formation Arrays picked up an unusual signal.

"We found something!" Green transmitted to everyone in the lobby.

When Team Wooly Sheep heard Kyle, their annoyance vanished. Sure, it was still dangerous, but the prospect of loot was still exciting, even if they didn't get a lot of it.

"What is it?" the Leader asked.

"Fire, Earth, and Metal Energy," Kyle answered.

"Couldn't it just be more magma?" Spring of Joy asked. "There can be dense accumulations of magma. If the readings show something unusual, the magma has to be special, but it's not something worth alerting everyone over."

"Nah, this is not just magma," Kyle replied. "I can feel it! The jackpot is within reach! We just have to keep digging! Only quitters are losers! 99% of people stop gambling before they hit the jackpot!"

The others looked at Green with raised brows.

Was that a joke or was he serious?

The truth was...

A little bit of both.

"We haven't found anything in so long, even though we've dug so far," Kyle added. "Based on probability, we should hit something valuable soon."

"That's not how probability works," the Formation Array Master answered.

"Each instance of chance has its own probability."

"I know," Kyle answered with an excited smile. "But we can't be unlucky forever. At some point, we're gonna hit something. We just have to keep trying!"

Kyle's words had eliminated a lot of the excitement. His words were not very encouraging.

"Where to?" the Leader asked.

Kyle gave her a direction, and she started digging. She had to be very careful since the direction was not leading straight down but diagonally down.

She kept digging for minutes, going through kilometers of solid matter. The more she dug, the more skeptical she became. They should have hit the object by now.

"Are you certain your readings are correct?" she asked.

"Definitely," Kyle answered. "The readings have become much stronger. In fact, I can guarantee you that this is not magma. The different readings haven't converged but split! We got individual spots of Metal Energy, individual spots of Fire Energy, and individual spots of Earth Energy!"

"Magma, some ore, and a very dense stone, then," the Formation Array Master commented.

"Your blasphemy will not shake my devotion, non-believer!" Green transmitted back. "This is a jackpot, and no amount of logic and reason can convince me otherwise!"

Once more, they were not sure if he was joking or not. At least, most of them were not sure. Sebastian just chuckled and smiled a bit.

"Listen to him!" Sebastian commented. "If even he believes, who are we to judge him? Our grandiose visionary has spoken the truth!"

Team Wooly Sheep furrowed their brows before looking at Abyssal Depths. She was the last member of Team Ankylosaurus who hadn't commented yet.

At that moment, Abyssal Depths felt a disconnect from her team. She was more of a serious and rational person, and if it were up to her, they would have already gone back to Wild's Summit. This entire excavation was far too dangerous.

She didn't want to comment. If she weren't part of the team, she would side with the others, but she was, which was why it was best for her to keep her opinion to herself.

But then, she remembered something. Kyle was often joking around and making grandiose statements. He made wild claims and boldly took actions that a rational person wouldn't take.

And yet, he hadn't been incorrect so far.

He directly fought the Growing Grass Team and had won with ease.

He had foolishly resisted the Rock Turner Team but easily defeated them.

He said he would deal with the three Avatars of the Minor Immortal, which seemed impossible, and somehow, he had also done that.

He said that there was danger, and moments later, a cave-in happened.

He recklessly chased after the attacker and killed them.

He kept digging when only a fearless idiot would keep going.

Whenever she thought that Kyle was making a dumb decision, she was proven wrong.

This time, once again, she believed that he was being reckless and helplessly optimistic.

Abyssal Depths closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

'Whenever I doubt him, I'm proven wrong,' she thought. 'I am doubting him yet again. I know that this is not a jackpot. I can feel that this is just something ordinary.'

'And it's been like this the last times as well.'

She opened her eyes and glanced at Sebastian and Kyle, who were just smiling like two reckless teens. She felt like she was put on the spot.

"We believe," she transmitted to everyone.

"YES!" Sebastian and Kyle echoed. "We believe! Onward! Riches await!"

The Leader took a deep breath to suppress her annoyance before she kept digging.

The surroundings grew more unstable, and Team Wooly Sheep became more nervous. If anything happened at this depth, they might actually die. The gravity and the depth were unforgiving. In fact, even the Leader felt some difficulty resisting the pressure and gravity.

Nevertheless, she kept digging. She really didn't want to, but she had established an alliance with the other team. If she didn't continue, their Karmic Luck would drop by at least two levels.

"Oh? I'm also picking up some distant Water Energy now!" Kyle added. "Keep going! We're almost there!"

Alarms were constantly going off in Kyle's Formation Arrays, but he simply dealt with them by putting more Energy Sources into them. In truth, his Formation Arrays were not advanced enough to efficiently deal with so much pressure and resistance. He had run them above their safe limit for quite a while.

"Just a little more!" Kyle transmitted with excitement. "The readings are so fucking intense!"

"I still can't sense anything," the Leader commented.

"Believe!" Kyle transmitted.

"Believe!" Sebastian added.

Abyssal Depths remained quiet.

The Leader launched more attacks.

And then, after a couple more minutes of stressful digging, she felt something. For just a second, she doubted her own senses.

When Kyle had said that there were Metal, Earth, and Fire Energies, she had expected many things. She had even entertained the possibility that they might have found something valuable.

Yet, in none of her predictions had she expected what she was currently sensing.

Abyssal Depths came closer when she noticed the Leader's eyes, and moments later, her brows rose in surprise.

She could also see it at the very edge of her Divine Consciousness.

"The jackpot!" Kyle shouted, even though he couldn't see anything yet.

"Jackpot!" Sebastian echoed.

The Leader and Abyssal Depths looked at each other for a moment to confirm whether or not the other person sensed the thing they were sensing.

"The jackpot," Abyssal Depths spoke slowly, her voice sounding like she didn't even believe herself.

At the edge of their Divine Consciousnesses, they could sense it...

A kind of Energy they had not expected to sense down here.

Biological Energy.
