Strongest Mage with the Lust system

Chapter 918: Ways To Earn Resources

Chapter 918: Ways To Earn Resources

After getting his thoughts and emotions in order, he placed his hand on Rima’s abdomen, activated his Bloodline Sense and scanned her dantian.

It was in the same condition as it was that day—completely ruined. Compared to it, the few minor tears his dantian had weren’t nothing. Additionally, there was no Mana Core in her dantian. It must have shattered and dissipated when she was injured.

He let out a breath and opened his eyes.

While Rima was fortunate enough to survive Lord Grimheart’s strike, she was completely crippled and this was the reason why she was so depressed and was having all kinds of thoughts.

"Grimheart..." muttered Max, murderous intent boiling in his heart.

...

"Thank you very much for taking care of her, Elder." Max bowed to the Medical Elder after walking out of the room, expressing his gratefulness.

This surprised Kaelin, but not the Medical Elder, who smiled, "No need for thanks. She is my patient. So, it’s only right I take care of her. You just make sure to come meet her often."

"I’ll do that." nodded Max. Then, after giving Kaelin a nod of thanks, he walked out of the medical hall, contemplating his next step.

How should he earn resources?

He couldn’t rely on his combat power since he had no mana and without it, his Fire and Thunder Law comprehensions were all but useless. Then there was his Bloodline Energy which he couldn’t afford to expose. This left him with just his physical strength.

However...

He doubted he could match, much less defeat, a slightly powerful High Stage Four Star Mage by relying on just his High Stage Four Star body.

Moreover, even if he could, it was useless. After all, the missions of Inner Hall required Five Star strength, not to mention the Silver Rankings where even the last place was at least a Mid-Stage Five Star and quite strong in that realm at that.

’I can’t sell those realmbreaker magic spells either as it would bring me more trouble than benefit.’ he thought his brows furrowed, ’It would have been good if I had mastered some skill.’

Suddenly, his eyes flashed.

What were the most profitable professions in this world?

Weapon smithing, Talisman Making and Alchemy.

He knew nothing about them, but... if he wasn’t wrong, the most important thing in all of them was... control. And he wasn’t lacking in this regard thanks to his Bloodline Sense.

Moreover, his Fire Law comprehension made it so that weapon smithing and alchemy would be even easier to him.

The same was true for talisman making as he could craft fire and thunder elemental talisman more easily thanks to their corresponding laws.

Also, after he recovered completely, he could once again utilize his Divine Sense (The Divine Sense was Soul Sense in earliest Chapters). When he fused it with the Bloodline Sense, his control could improve even more. Then, it would be even easier for him to craft weapons, talismans or medicine.

"It’s worth a try." he muttered. If he could truly master any of these professions, he would never lack resources again probably until he reached Monarch Realm.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt this was worth giving a try.

Thus, soon, he headed toward the Inner Hall. He had yet to visit the Hall’s library and use up the chance—he got upon becoming an Inner Hall disciple—to select two magic skills.

The moment he left the Core Hall’s area and arrived in the Inner Hall, he felt several gazes land on him. Some looked at him with curiosity, some in wonderment and awe and some with hostility.

He ignored all of them, and spotted a Disciplinary Hall’s disciple in the distance.

Walking over to him, he asked him where the Hall’s library was. Just like others, he had also recognised him and since their Hall Master—Valerie—seemed to be on the same side as him, instead of just giving him the directions, he led the way himself.

After they arrived, Max stared at the five story tower for a few moments—it was huge.

The disciplinary hall disciple smiled when he saw this and remembered he had the same expression he saw it the first time.

"It’s even bigger inside," he commented.

"Spatial magic?" asked Max, surprised. He had yet to even hear of someone possessing Spatial Affinity.

"Yes. It’s said founder had asked one of his friend to do it." The man said.

Max nodded. Then, he thanked him and entered the tower.

Immediately, he realized what the guy had said was true. Inside was even bigger than it seemed from outside.

This First floor was as big as a medium sized village.

After an enquiry, he found out that the first floor was for disciples in the Mortal Realm.

Second floor was for Five Star disciples, Third floor for King Mages, Fourth Floor for Emperor Rank disciples and Elders, and the Fifth floor was for the Hall Masters—Monarchs.

This tower wasn’t only a library to store the magic spells and techniques, there were specialized rooms to enhance comprehension where one could comprehend their magic spells since taking them out of the library wasn’t allowed.

Also, except for the first time, disciples had to pay Merit Points if they wanted to buy any spell, technique or notes of seniors.

"Since it’s your first time, you can select any two skills on the second floor and use the comprehension room for two hours." explained the receptionist.

"Just two hours?" asked Max, his brows raised. Wasn’t this duration too short?

The receptionist, a pretty Inner Hall disciple, forced a smile, "The disciples need to pay 500 Merit Points for one hour in the comprehension room on the Second floor. So, two hours free is actually very good."

"I understand. Thank you for explaining." nodded Max in understanding.

Two hours not enough to comprehend your magic spell? Alright, pay Merit Point and comprehend as long as you like.

Of course, he knew this arrangement wasn’t to extort disciples but most likely due to the large number of disciples and limited number of comprehension rooms.

A short while later, he arrived on the second floor. It wasn’t as large as the first floor, but it was still quite large.

"Hello, welcome to the second floor. How would you like me to assist you?" The receptionist asked when he walked over.

Max nodded back in greeting, then said, "Can you tell me where I can find information related to Magic Weapon Smithing, Talisman Making and Alchemy?"
