After an unknown amount of time later, Max regained consciousness.

‘I overdid it.’ he sighed. This body was weak to the point that even walking should have been difficult, but he had gone ahead and forced himself to do something so exhausting. Feeling so tired was only expected.

‘Huh?’ He suddenly noticed he wasn’t lying on the softness he had passed out on and forced his eyes open.

There was no trace of Li Xiaomin in the room. Even the bedsheet had been changed and the air in the room seemed to have been ventilated, so there was no lingering smell either—all signs of what they had done had been erased.

He turned around and lay on his back, heaving a deep breath.

‘It was good.’ He remarked as he recalled the session earlier. In fact, thinking about it made his little brother twitch and come to life.

“Easy tiger. This body isn’t strong enough to do it multiple times in a day.” He muttered, feeling helpless.

After a few moments, he forced himself to sit up and sit cross-legged. Closing his eyes, he shifted his focus inwards, wanting to see how much Nascent Energy he had gained from his lovely sister-in-law.

However, his brows furrowed the next moment because he wasn’t able to ‘see’ anything.

“Fuck, I’m too weak to use my bloodline sense.” he groaned in annoyance.

It didn’t matter how powerful his bloodline, which he was fortunate to bring along to this world, was, if he, Gu Chen, was just a Skin Refinement Realm Cultivator.

‘Wait. He, fuck no, I am no longer a Skin Refinement Cultivator either.” He sighed when he remembered that the sickness Gu Chen endured for half a year had erased any sign of previous cultivation.

His heart started to beat faster and he blinked several times to make sure he wasn’t hallucinating. But the screen remained floating before him, he wasn’t hallucinating. His system had somehow awakened.

‘Did that hazy figure do it?’ he suddenly thought of the figure condensed out of his bloodline energy. If it really was Lust Overlord Bloodline’s owner’s remnant will, it must have used some method to activate the system.

‘Right, he told me I would know what I need to do in this Chaos Dream Realm. He must have meant that the system would tell me when it activated.’ he mused.

“Good to see you again, system.” Max smiled and then with a thought, he accessed notifications. Seeing the first few, his hypothesis was confirmed. The figure has indeed activated the system.

[The system reactivation started. 1%… 2%… 3%…]

[System reactivated!]

Then he continued reading more.

Max took a deep breath.

‘Originally, this trial should have lasted ten years, but because my main body can only survive for one year, the duration has been cut short.’ he realized, his expression becoming solemn because since the trial originally had ten year period, it meant on an average, people took this much time on an average to unlock the third bloodline lock.

He, however, had to do it within a year. The difficulty had skyrocketed.

‘I’ll do it, I can do it.’ He told himself. Even if it was next to impossible, he had to do it because the only other option was… Death.

And he wasn’t willing to die, not yet at least. Not until he had enjoyed life with his women, and maybe had a few children, saw them grow up and create their own families…

He softly exhaled, then read the last two notifications.

Max’s eyes gleamed and he clicked ‘Yes’.

Immediately, 100 Lust Points vanished and he felt a prickling sensation all over his body. His skin was being tempered.

A few seconds later, the process was completed. He had become a cultivator of Skin Refinement, First Layer.
