Chapter 1437: Last Trip
Chapter 1437: Last Trip
Nathan was looking at the report of the expedition.
"Even with Anubis, there were still a lot of casualties." Nathan muttered.
"Indeed." Bella sat on the table while giving him another paper. "Look at this."
Nathan skimmed the other paper and sighed. "I guess we will have a hard time in the future."
"I’m afraid so." Bella nodded. "It will be hard to kill Frequency, especially if he uses that last resort."
"I didn’t expect that the black cell could drain their vitality in order to enhance their power. I have to take that into account."
Bella raised two fingers. "At least we get two things now. First of all, people like us have figured out what we are supposed to do next.
"Right now, Melissa and I are planning to work together to become a crystal fusion stage summoner in the next few months. I don’t know how hard it is, but we will have to do our best.
"Vivian seems to be planning to summon another familiar. You probably know the details better than I do.
"Revon is planning to spread his power even more, but he is mainly focusing on training Sonia, Christopher, and Neyeid.
"To be honest, Neyeid is closer to the crystal fusion stage than me, so I’m not entirely sure if I can do it or not."
Nathan thought for a moment. "I will give you a medicine that can speed up the process. Melissa too. So, focus on increasing your ena for the time being."
"If that’s the case, I’ll work hard. Wish me luck." Bella winked playfully.
"I believe you can do it." Nathan smiled.
Bella smiled before continuing, "As for Evelyn, she seems to be training together with Luna. Luna told me she wanted the second rule while Evelyn was trying to get her first rule. I don’t understand what they’re talking about, but that’s the idea."
Nathan also had this option. He could try to use this time to form his first rule, but looking at his current opponent, he believed it would be better for them to get more familiars to fight first.
At the very least, he wanted Nidhogg, Jinwu, Kun, Orochi, and Xolotl to reach that stage first before forming his first rule.
Even Xolotl suggested that he slow down in forming his first rule.
"That’s good enough for me." Nathan nodded.
"By the way, the people are having high morale despite having such a loss. First of all, this is the first time they’ve clashed with the Death Society after so many years, so they’re excited for the next one.
"They are eager to fight. No, it’s more accurate to say that they don’t mind dying for their cause.
"For the time being, I have Johnson to let them remember the kind of enemy they’ll be fighting and think about improving their strength in that direction.
"We have given them some hints about the next attack, which will happen in four months."
"That’s good enough. It will keep them motivated." Nathan was satisfied with the arrangement. "The only thing that we need to check is the empire’s side."
"Actually, there is a letter from Regina. We received it via bird just now. I haven’t seen it yet." Bella took out the letter. "I was supposed to give this to you after reporting the rest."
Nathan furrowed his eyebrows and opened the letter. His expression turned grim right after.
"What’s wrong?"
Nathan gave the small scroll to her.
Bella gasped. "Sarfan Eleren? Luna’s elder brother?"
"Yeah." Nathan sighed. "With this, they have the Godfather, Frequency, Sarfan Eleren, Spider, Soul Eater, and Alex Tear as their crystal fusion stage summoners.
"We might be able to stop Frequency by sending Luna, but it’s clear that Luna has to go against the Godfather himself. I don’t think we’re strong enough not to let Luna fight him."
Bella thought for a moment. "Still, she’d like to discuss the next step with you. Are you going to invite her here?"
"Probably not. I’ll just go over there to discuss it with her before heading to the front line. Since you and Melissa are planning to reach that goal, why don’t we work together?"
"That is good, but won’t it slow you down?" Bella loved the idea, but she was worried they would slow him down. Nathan was strong, so it was best for him to progress as quickly as possible.
However, they underestimated him. "Not necessarily. While it’s true that most of the time, it will slow people down, it will be a safer trip, right?"
"That’s true. Now that I think about it, you have been adventuring with Selena and the others."
"Yep. While it slows you down, the overall result is higher." Nathan smiled. The biggest reason he slowed down when going together with Selena and the others was his abnormally low absorption rate.
But he had come a long way. His absorption rate had already exceeded 90%. There was no need to worry about it anymore.
"However, there are things I want you to learn before the trip. Because it will be a rather extensive trip, I want to waste as little time as possible."
"If that’s the only condition, it shouldn’t be too hard." Bella agreed. "Should I invite Vivian as well? Since she’s planning to summon a new familiar, it should be fine, right?"
"Yes. As for the target... I have been thinking about it. The best choice will be an area that is filled with alien nests around. If it doesn’t work, we will take advantage of my teleportation to travel all around the front line."
This was what he was afraid to do before. The alien nests might contain one or more elite class aliens with a lot of other aliens. He could somehow defeat them, but it would be too exhausting.
However, if he worked together with Vivian, Bella, and Melissa, they should be able to wipe out one or two nests every day.
The cores they would be getting would be more than enough to reach their respective goals.
"Got it." Bella nodded. "I’m going to tell everyone about it. When do we leave?"
"In three days."
