Chapter 1449: Nathan’s Choice
Chapter 1449: Nathan’s Choice
Nathan’s expression turned solemn for a moment.
"I have 32 million ena right now. If I help Nidhogg, Jinwu, and Orochi, I will have 17 million ena remaining. 7 million won’t be enough," explained Nathan.
Looking at the situation, Jinwu suddenly stepped forward. "In that case, give it to Jinwu and Orochi, Summoner."
"Jinwu?" Nathan didn’t expect Jinwu to come forward. After all, Jinwu had the same pride as Orochi and Nidhogg.
"Since you only have 22 million ena left after the two of them, using 10 million ena to summon your tenth familiar will be a good thing. You can give me the remaining 2 million, and I should be able to hold my opponent in one way or another."
"I don’t get why you chose to give it up, Jinwu." Nathan furrowed his eyebrows.
"There are two reasons. First of all, if what Xolotl speculates is proven to be true, we will definitely have a hard time. After all, this godfather will be a bit too powerful for us to handle.
"And if you have increased them, you will have Fenrir, Anubis, Nidhogg, Orochi, Xolotl, and one more person to handle the majority of the fight.
"But this is the second reason. If Xolotl ends up joining hands with you, there will be a need for a true god to be present, not just to fuse with you, but to lead the rest of us.
"In that case, it’ll be better to have a true god than to strengthen me and Peng."
Nathan couldn’t really deny that possibility and Jinwu’s arguments.
"If you feel bad about it, please allow me to be the next one to reach 10 million ena after we defeat the Death Society. The cores can come from rewards or maybe the aliens we will have to fight on the way home."
Nathan looked down, contemplating. If Jinwu didn’t mind giving up his own share, it would be quite beneficial for him.
The true god would become a game changer in the battle, especially against the godfather.
Besides, it would have been excellent if he could somehow kill Frequency as quickly as possible.
Nathan looked down, falling into deep thought.
"I believe this is a good decision, unless you don’t have any true god in mind right now. There is also a lack of sacrificial items, so..." Jinwu didn’t finish his words.
Nathan closed his eyes for a moment before saying, "If you ask me whether I have a true god in mind or not, then I probably have one in mind. I do have a few sacrificial items, so I should have no problem if I want to summon my tenth familiar."
"In that case, please summon the next familiar. I’m fine with giving this chance to someone else. That’s just how bothered we are regarding this assault."
"Is it really that bad? Is the Godfather really that powerful?"
"Unfortunately, yes. If you are not careful, you might lose to him. The best we can do is to kill his familiars first and use our overwhelming numbers to take him down. Although I don’t want to admit it, he might be the strongest summoner in the world, not just on this continent. Of course, I don’t know Elysion Aquamoon’s strength yet, but you get the idea."
Nathan crossed his arms. "Anyone having an objection or a different opinion?"
Nidhogg and Orochi exchanged looks. Neither of them gave up the reward, so they had no objection.
Fenrir and Anubis weren’t interested in it, so they just let Nathan decide the best course of action.
Xolotl raised one finger. "I do have one thing to add. Please be careful if you want to summon another true god. We gods are practically proud individuals. After all, we have the strength to be proud.
"However, the next true god you summon might be much more than you can handle, so..."
"Don’t worry. I have my discretion." Nathan assured Xolotl that he had carefully thought about the next god.
"In that case, I’m relieved." Xolotl smiled.
"Very well, let’s first finish the transfer process." Nathan nodded and started writing the contract.
Nidhogg and Orochi immediately got their ena. Their strength might not reach Xolotl’s level, but they could rival Fenrir.
Nathan observed them carefully. His team was quite versatile.
He had Anubis as their support, Mae as a versatile one that could be placed anywhere, Kun and Peng for battlefield control, and Qilin for overall stability.
In exchange, Fenrir, Nidhogg, Jinwu, Orochi, and Xolotl were his offensive familiars.
Looking at their lineup, it was obvious the type of god he wanted. He wanted another god with powerful offensive abilities.
In the end, whether they were in Gratzel or Erendtall, they needed 6 familiars to fight alongside them.
That was why if he had six gods, Anubis, Kun, Mae, and Qilin could focus on their respective roles, allowing them to elevate their abilities further on the battlefield.
As for what kind of god he wanted, he already had a thought about it before Jinwu and Peng suggested it.
Once the transfer was done, Nathan added, "In that case, let’s summon our new family after Vivian."
For the past few months, Nathan called Vivian less and less casually. It might be due to the hard battle that it was better to call each other by the name, which was easier, but Nathan ultimately grew accustomed to it.
Vivian didn’t raise any objections either. Rather than feeling insulted, she was actually quite pleased about it.
"She is planning to summon a true god, so in order to help her, I’m going to summon another true god after her. Well, it’s a bit of an unpopular opinion, but the gods and goddesses from Greek mythology were a bit too arrogant according to what I read."
"You toned your words down quite a bit." Xolotl snorted. "You should call them jerks. I have seen at least two of them."
Nathan scratched the back of his head. "Well, you already know about it, so we will do that.
"Xolotl, we will finish our crystal fusion tonight. I’ll be using the medicine to speed up the process. Tomorrow, we will summon our new family."
All of them nodded in agreement.
