Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1593: Asura?

Chapter 1593: Asura?

"Asura?" Nathan had never heard something like this before. They were channeling everything they had to a single point. A building was much more understandable, but knowing the legend of the Asura, he couldn’t help but think of the possibility of this Asura being the destination of the flow of energy.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t confirm it yet. The only thing they could do was search around.

Although the first building was good, he couldn’t find anything worthy of his attention. So, he continued to the second building.

This time, he saw a quite big library within this building. It looked like a big office, so it might know something more than the first building.

However, when he checked the ruined building, he had a hard time finding a record that was intact.

Most of the records had been torn after getting buried underneath the rubble. A portion of them had even decomposed.

"..." Nathan crossed his arms. "Is there anything intact here? The record is too damaged for us to see what’s going on. I don’t think we can restore them, right?"

"Traditional method of restoration? No. If we use the Memory of the Dead, I’m not sure. But considering it’s reading the dead’s memories, I don’t think they will have such details."

Nathan sighed. "I guess we just have to go around and hope one of the buildings still has some records. Maybe there are underground places or basements that record everything. That kind of place is harder to reach."

Qilin nodded in agreement. "Then let’s speed up. The city is quite large, so we have to check everything. Unless, of course, you want to destroy this entire area to see if any building will collapse further."

Nathan smiled wryly. "No way I can do that."

In the end, they went around but found nothing. Unfortunately, they only had enough time to check a few dozen buildings before Mae called them.

Of course, Nathan first asked Selena and the others to come to them, as they should also witness the past.

Once everyone had gathered, Nathan explained, "We will be watching the memories of the dead. We will see what happened in the past. I want you to look out for anything, no matter how small the details are."

Selena and the others nodded solemnly.

"All right. Let’s start." Nathan turned to Xolotl and Anubis.

"You have the power to start it, Master. It’s linked to your time element." Mae reminded him. "But first, we should restore all the people."

Mae clapped her hands, gathering the information from Xolotl and Anubis and applying it to her illusions.

A hundred humans soon appeared. Then, a few hundred people followed right after.

In one minute, they managed to recreate all the humans in the area.

Nathan looked around. "The people don’t seem to be running. I guess this is the time before the aliens’ attack?"

"Most likely."

Selena was watching them closely. The male didn’t wear any tops, but most men in the area actually had muscular bodies. It was as if every single one of them was a fierce warrior.

Meanwhile, these women were a bit vulgar from Selena’s perspective. They wore short skirts. The top only covered their breasts, hanging firmly on their necks.

"Why are they not wearing anything?" Iris asked.

"Who knows?" Noelle shook her head. "Well, if I have to guess, female warriors don’t care if they’re seen or not. They will still cut down their enemies. So, maybe that’s why?"

Nathan shrugged. "Or it might be summer at this time."

"Or the Asura Palace’s culture. It makes them look sexier. Make people look at you and copulate. More babies means more soldiers." Selena squinted.

"Who knows?"

Selena just glanced at Nathan. "So, do you want me to wear something like this?"

"W-What? Selena. You shouldn’t say that in front of a kid!" Noelle hurriedly covered Iris’s ears.

"..." Nathan gulped before snapping his finger, shifting their focus. "For the time being, let’s observe. See if there’s anything unusual."

Once the paused time started to move, the illusion became even more vivid as people were walking around the town as if nothing had happened.

However, they soon turned their heads in a single direction.

The moment Nathan saw this action, he immediately paused the illusion. "What’s going on?"

Xolotl pointed to the wall. "There is a bell near the wall. We can safely assume that the bell is ringing."

"There is no sound?" Nathan asked.

"What? You want more details? Unfortunately, the crystal doesn’t have that function." Xolotl rolled his eyes.

"Sorry, Master. I don’t think it’s possible. I mean, I can apply the sound, but that’s only if I know the details." Mae smiled apologetically.

"That was thoughtless of me." Nathan waved down. "Let’s move on. Do we have any information about the enemy?"

"Not yet. We need them to be close. Unless they’re near the wall, we can’t see them yet." Mae shook her head.

"All right. In that case, let’s head to the wall first."

Once they reached the wall, Nathan started the illusion again.

As expected, the people of the past immediately moved toward the wall. All men were rushing, but two-thirds of the women were also gathering at the wall. The remaining people seemed to be taking care of the kids who couldn’t participate in the battle yet.

"They seem to know what to do. There are so many female fighters here. Is this why the Asura Palace was so strong in the past?" Noelle asked.

They mainly used swords and spears. Although they weren’t well equipped, not many people showed a trace of fear in their expressions.

All of them gathered at the wall until a person suddenly stood up. The person had a slightly bigger build than the others, but people couldn’t contain their admiration for this person.

His aura was so fierce that Nathan felt chills down his spine. It was as if this person had killed so many living beings that his entire being was coated by killing intent.

"Nathan..." Selena pointed at the guy. "Is this... perhaps... Asura?"
