Chapter 1600: Two Gods
Chapter 1600: Two Gods
Iris managed to make all thirty spears within fifteen minutes. "Like this? I don’t think I can do it further, Master."
"All right. You have done enough." Nathan waved his hand.
"Huuu..." Iris let out a sigh of relief while recalling her energy. "Master. Why did you ask me to create all those things?"
"You haven’t realized the reason yet?"
Iris tilted her head in confusion. Since he first mentioned something about her talent, she thought it would be related to her talent. "My talent is related to barriers?"
"No. That’s too specific. Your talent is a bit broader than just a mere barrier. Normally, a person can imagine a certain item but still has a hard time recreating it. However, you are different.
"You can recreate them if you really want with that barrier. You indeed have a talent in barriers, but your true talent is in shaping your energy. The way you shape your barrier is your true talent.
"So, why are we talking about this topic? The answer is rather simple. There is a limit to a gun. It may help you right now, but as you grow stronger, the power might be limited.
"That’s why I want to further improve your gun. You have the ability to shape things. However, what you currently shape is limited to what you’ve seen."
"!!!" Iris was taken aback. Now that she thought about it, she might have been stagnant for a while. The crystal summoning method might have helped her quite a bit, but when she was using a normal magic gun, she definitely felt the limitation Nathan was talking about.
"That’s why I want you to think out of the box. I want you to examine everything. What is a strong gun? Fortunately, I have Mae to show it directly to you."
Mae came to them at Nathan’s request.
"Can you show her what’s in my mind right now?"
"Sure." Mae extracted Nathan’s thought and applied it to her illusion.
This time, an image of a satellite appeared. Iris was unfamiliar with this shape or gun, but the illusion continued, showing the power of the satellite.
It suddenly released a beam that melted everything beneath it. The city was scorched in a few seconds without anyone being able to withstand it.
"This..." Iris gasped. "What kind of gun is this, Master?"
Nathan smiled. "This is what I want to talk about. Right now, you are too reliant on me. You create a gun based on my understanding, not on your understanding. This is another example."
Nathan imagined a girl wearing a mechanical skeleton with big robot wings. This woman then summoned multiple laser guns that shot powerful beams in all directions.
If one beam was terrifying enough, this girl released multiple of them, creating destruction everywhere.
"This..." Iris gasped. As expected, Iris was looking at the image with admiration. She adored the guns, not knowing Nathan had just pulled something out of a science-fiction novel.
But this was enough to keep his explanation going.
"This is what I mean by limitation. You are currently using only a portion of your potential. Your true potential lies in shaping your own energy to create something.
"However, due to the lack of imagination, you aren’t able to create something even more powerful.
"Right now, I want you to analyze everything. Understand how the weapons work and figure out their shapes and mechanisms."
Iris looked down, contemplating. "Isn’t this like what Mistress Luna does?"
"Yes."
"So, you want me to start forging?"
"Not exactly." Nathan raised two fingers. "I do plan to recommend you two gods. The first one will be your next familiar. That is the God of Forging."
"But I don’t want to be a blacksmith." Iris shook her head.
"I’m not telling you to become a blacksmith. Even though I recommend this god, do you think this god will be suitable to be your lifebound familiar?"
She shook her head furiously.
"That’s why I’m planning to recommend the second god. However, the first recommendation is necessary for your development. You have to understand everything about what you want to create. That’s how you’re able to continue progressing your power.
"Understand them and develop them. Just like when you are creating a new bullet, I want you to create your new gun, your new armor, and other things from your own power.
"I know you can do it. You have shown it to me earlier." Nathan smiled.
Iris fell silent. She understood why the God of Forging was necessary. The God of Forging would allow her to develop something she wanted, but this development didn’t necessarily require her to be a blacksmith.
She could simply create things by using her power. "So, that’s how it is. But what is the second god you’re planning to introduce, Master?"
"I will tell you about it after you are done with your first assignment."
Iris was a bit disappointed that she couldn’t satisfy her curiosity. But this also pushed her desire to finish the assignment as quickly as possible.
After seeing the female in mechanical armor, she had the full desire to achieve it.
Nathan smiled. He shouldn’t tell her about the god of creation yet. If she summoned a god of creation without having the basics, which she would learn from the God of Forging, she would have a hard time progressing.
Still, to summon two gods in a short period would be hard for her. They required an enormous amount of cores.
Iris first had to have 10 million ena before summoning these two gods and officially becoming a world class summoner.
But Nathan had a plan on how to do it, and he believed Iris could take on the challenge.
"If you understand, then let’s begin with the basics again. I have taught you the basics. I call them ’Scan’ and ’Creation.’ I want you to scan everything you see in your surroundings. Imagine their shape, number, and structure before recreating them with your barrier. Can you do it?!"
"Yes!" Iris pumped her fist. She couldn’t wait to form her own terrifying guns and armor.
