Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1738: Despair

Chapter 1738: Despair

Bam!

The clash between the shield and the asteroid looked like it was going to finish as soon as it began.

Upon impact, the magic circle instantly cracked.

"Kh..." Rakusha gritted her teeth, having a hard time maintaining this barrier. "Haaaaa!"

"Hit it now!" Tiamat shouted.

Everyone who had been waiting for their chance to attack immediately positioned themselves to the side of the asteroid and released their respective attacks.

"Demonic Judgment." Chiyou’s eyes turned bloodshot as he struck the asteroid. His energy spread up and down as though it were trying to cut the asteroid.

Unfortunately, the green-colored energy acted as a barrier, preventing any energy from harming the inside.

"Sword of Death." Thanatos also struck the asteroid next to him. He was trying to strike down the energy, hopefully creating a hole in the barrier.

Yet, the result remained the same.

"Kh..."

"That’s not enough." Amphitrite manifested a surge of water and started shooting it at the asteroid. She wanted to use the pressure from the stream to move it away from the trajectory.

It looked like other familiars were thinking the same thing.

"Chaos Breath!" Nidhogg released his breath.

"Poison Stream." Orochi spurted his poison with all eight heads.

"Dawn of the Beginning." Jinwu shot out his sunbeam.

"The End." Tiamat was also releasing her chaos breath, but it was far stronger than Orochi.

If all these attacks hit the ground, it would have created unimaginable devastation to the entire area.

Yet, the green-colored energy simply flared up, showing no sign of weakening.

"!!!" Qilin widened his eyes in shock. "The space element is continuously repairing the barrier. The time element is resetting that process again and again. Unless we can produce an attack at a similar level, we won’t be able to penetrate that barrier."

"We are not going to let it fall!" Kun shouted. "Master and the others are there."

Xolotl charged everything he had. He even activated his domain, concentrating it into a single spot.

Back then, his power was used as a sacrifice to teleport the Earth to a safer place.

That was why he planned to draw out all his power so that he could at least deflect this asteroid away.

"Fire and Lightning Fusion. Death Authority." The burst of Xolotl’s power shocked even Nyx and Tiamat.

This kind of burst was extremely rare. Even they didn’t have it.

It was no wonder that the gods chose Xolotl as a sacrifice.

Xolotl pointed his palms forward. "Nothingness."

His black energy struck the asteroid, spreading all around it. It was burning like a flame, but there was black lightning sparking all over the surface.

"!!!" Fenrir had to stop absorbing the energy from the asteroid because of this power.

However, this power might be the one they had been waiting for to make the difference.

The eruption of Xolotl’s power had actually caused the green-colored energy to flicker.

All of them obviously noticed it.

"It’s working. Continue! We are going to crush it!"

All the familiars became even more determined. They were trying to use their power one more time. They knew that if this attack landed, they might be able to reach the asteroid.

Even if they couldn’t deflect it away, they might be able to reduce the size or even break it into pieces.

At the very least, the world would face massive devastation, but it wasn’t enough to cause an extinction of the human race.

This was their chance, or at least they thought this was.

All of a sudden, the green-colored energy erupted. It looked like it was going to clash with their energy, but the asteroid suddenly disappeared.

"What?!" All of them widened their eyes in shock. They soon sensed the extraordinary energy that appeared out of nowhere.

They turned back and saw that the asteroid had been reset. Yes, it turned back time, which also restored the energy that covered it.

Xolotl had to gather everything he had one more time if he wanted to stop it, but he currently had no more time.

Earlier, a few familiars were meant to slow it down with their power. Then, Rakusha would lead the group to create a shield that would withstand the impact.

Once it had been set up, Tiamat and the others would either break the asteroid or push it away.

Unfortunately for them, the moment the asteroid was reset, there wasn’t anything that slowed it down. Even if they could, they wouldn’t buy enough time for Xolotl and the others to gather their strength.

"Kh!" Rakusha gritted her teeth and tried to move the shield out of the way. "We have to stop it!"

Unfortunately, the magic circle was shattered on contact.

"Gah!" Rakusha spat a mouthful of blood.

"We... have failed..." Kun panicked.

They thought they would succeed, but they didn’t expect that Yog-Sothoth’s power was this complex.

Even Garuda and a few others who once fought the Outer Gods realized one thing.

"The Outer Gods have become stronger than that time..." Garuda narrowed his eyes.

Before, they had a chance. But if the Outer Gods had gotten much stronger, the situation would change.

In a way, the original Nathan might have contributed to this part. As the ruler of space and time, Yog-Sothoth should have seen the numerous clashes between itself and the original Nathan. It evolved even further.

It might only be Yog-Sothoth, but there was no proof that other aliens weren’t affected.

And the price to learn this piece of information was the destruction of this world.

"Even if we can’t stop it, we have to soften the impact!"

"That’s right. Don’t let this world get destroyed right upon impact. Even Master won’t survive that way."

"Hurry!"

All of them were prepared to unleash their attacks one more time. They had given up on stopping the asteroid.

Before they launched another attack, a burst of light suddenly shot out into outer space.

This burst of light actually came from the North Pole.

In the North Pole, Evelyn smiled in relief as though she had managed to make it on time. In front of her, a massive city emerged from the water, shooting out a green-colored light.
