Chapter 1816: Another Divinity

"W-What?!"

Hgahuku and the others were dumbstruck the moment they found themselves outside in the blink of an eye.

Nathan looked up. Even though there was an atmosphere that could sustain life, the sky was actually white instead of blue.

The trees looked normal, except for the fact that their color was different.

Hgahuku, on the other hand, actually felt a bit hopeful. If Nathan could bring them out with just a snap of his fingers, he might be able to cure the person he wanted.

Nathan looked left and right before asking, "So, where is your tribe?"

"My family is just a small tribe that is located not far from here."

"Just give me the directions."

"It’s in that direction." Hgahuku pointed in a certain direction.

"Are we going to teleport again?" Selena asked.

"No. Since it’s not that far, we will fly instead." Nathan raised his hand.

"You’re not going to hide your identity or be low-key?" Selena looked a bit surprised by Nathan’s choice.

"No, it is fine. Being too low-key will just slow us down. Unless it’s truly necessary, I don’t intend to do that."

Suddenly, a massive dove fell from the sky, letting out a deep cry in the sky. The whale was so massive that it looked like it was covering the entire sky.

Hgahuku and the others widened their eyes. "The whale that covers the sky..."

"Kun, too big. Switch to Peng instead."

"I understand, Master." Kun turned into Peng. Even though the size was reduced to a third of the original, it was still big enough to cover the entire city.

Nathan then snapped his fingers, bringing everyone to Peng’s back.

"That direction." Nathan gave the directions.

Hgahuku and the others were dumbfounded. They never thought such a creature existed.

Then again, if his ’mount’ was at this level, Nathan’s strength was definitely unimaginable.

Nathan looked at the world carefully, especially the place they had been in earlier.

It looked as if there was a wall that separated the world into two. This wall made from massive trees, blocking the mist from escaping. Each tree was at least forty meters tall, and they were thicker than any trees he had seen so far.

"How come there is a wall of trees like that? It’s not natural." Sera narrowed her eyes.

Hgahuku nodded. "When those creatures began to invade us, numerous great warriors died. Those trees signified the warriors who had lost their lives.

"If we died without having a purification ritual, our bodies would become the perfect host for the great tree and our blood would become its nourishment."

"What? So, those trees used to be living beings?" Sera widened her eyes in shock.

"Yes. They used to be brave warriors who fought for their homeland. The stronger they were, the bigger and taller they would become."

After he explained the situation, Sera finally understood that the trees were not exactly uniform.

"You fought those creatures in the trees?" Nathan asked.

"The mist didn’t just obscure one vision, they weakened all other senses. The first time we were invaded, we fought back when the mist came.

"After a while, we realized that those creatures came from that side of the world, so the world united and created the great mist wall to trap them.

"Warriors could go there to challenge them and fight for their own glory." Hgahuku explained.

"I see." Nathan crossed his arms.

"Ah, we’re about to arrive." Hgahuku noticed the current terrain.

"Master, I saw a quite big village not far from here." Peng reported.

"Let’s descend slowly." Nathan turned to Hgahuku. "Are you going to be fine bringing outsiders? I can still send you back so that you won’t be seen with us."

"Thank you for your concern, but it is fine."

"Very well."

In the tribe, the people couldn’t help but panic.

"What is that?"

"A bird?"

"I don’t know."

"Ring the bell!"

All the people inside the village heard the bell and rushed outside with their own weapons. They couldn’t help but feel terrified when they saw a massive bird descending from the sky.

All of them pointed their weapons at Peng, but fortunately, no one attacked him until he landed on the ground.

They hesitated, wondering what they should do against a bird like this.

Suddenly, Hgahuku jumped off Peng and raised both hands, trying to calm them down. "Everyone. Please calm down. It’s me."

"Young Chief?!"

"It’s the young chief!"

"Did he tame this weird bird?"

They were stunned, wondering what kind of trick Hgahuku had used to tame such a powerful bird.

"It’s not mine. I’ve come with an envoy. Is my father... I mean, the chieftain here?"

"Hgahu. What are you doing?" An old man walked out while carrying his wooden wand.

Nathan was quite surprised. Hgahuku’s power was equal to a warrior class alien, but this chieftain possessed the same power as an elite class alien. He was quite close to becoming a world class summoner by their standards.

But it was just personal power.

The summoners had their familiars to fight alongside them, so the summoners should be stronger.

"Chief..." Hgahuku wanted to explain, but the old chief immediately raised his curved sword, pointing it at Nathan who had just descended from Peng.

The others followed the chief’s action, ready to attack Nathan when the chief gave the signal.

Nathan raised his right foot and stepped on the ground, activating his time domain that covered all the people in this area.

All the people looked like they were frozen in time except for the girls, Hgahuku, and the chieftain.

"!!!" The old chief panicked. He looked left and right before shouting, "What did you do to them?"

"I am Nathan Reckmoon, a human from another world. I have come to an agreement with the person over there. In exchange for bringing me to this village, I will help him cure someone."

The old chief gritted his teeth. "In my eyes, you are invaders."

"I believe that’s a hasty conclusion. I just want to ask a few questions and fulfill my promise. I’m someone who holds promise in the highest regard. I’ve promised him I won’t harm your tribe."

"You—" The old chief wanted to refute him, but a female voice suddenly echoed from the side.

"Please stop, Chief."

"!!!" Nathan widened his eyes. There should be no one who could speak in this domain other than those who hadn’t been frozen in time. "This is... divinity?"
