Selena crossed her arms, considering all the theories Nathan had revealed. "It seems possible. I think we need to hear the information about the Great Void and the war from Garuda and Ananta first. After all, both of them are participating in that war directly, right?"
"How about the other true gods?" Sera asked.
"Nyx has also participated in that war, not that she is fighting to the bitter end, but I guess we can do that." Selena nodded before turning to Alavenya and the others.
Alavenya waved her hands. "Unfortunately, Chiyou didn’t participate."
"Thanatos didn’t survive until the end. He was a bit ashamed to say it, but he died when he was guiding the dead during the first war."
"Do we really need to call Loki?" Bella asked. "This is probably the best way to gain information."
"I don’t really want to do it if it’s not necessary. Right now, it’s not necessary yet." Nathan shook his head. "For now, just call Nyx as well."
"Got it." Selena summoned Nyx as she explained, "There seems to be some misunderstanding and discrepancy in Nathan’s knowledge about the universe. Well, it’s probably because he isn’t exactly knowledgeable about it due to his education background. Can you tell us again about the war and the universe?"
"What is it you want me to talk about? It’s too broad."
"The Great Void. When you fought the aliens, did the Great Void already exist?"
"Yes. It’s a scary place. I don’t have much information about it. If you want someone more knowledgeable about the Great Void, it will be Erebus, the personification of darkness. Or maybe you can summon my father, Chaos itself. If I’m not mistaken, he was born in that place."
"Seriously?" Selena widened her eyes.
Nathan looked down, contemplating. He might have really made a terrible mistake this time. He might have been too complacent with his knowledge about Earth that he forgot that the information about the gods on Earth wasn’t complete.
The only ones who possessed the complete information were the gods themselves.
He assumed he knew everything, which led to this situation. Nathan took a deep breath before saying, "Sorry."
Selena waved down her hand, telling him to stand down. "I understand your concern, but it’s not a problem yet."
Selena turned back to Nyx. "In that case, please let us know everything you know about the Great Void."
"How do I explain this..." Nyx looked up, carefully considering all her knowledge. "Let’s see. The Great Void has existed even before I was born. My father used to tell me not to go to this place because a lot of scary things resided in it.
"I didn’t know much because I wasn’t interested in it, but my power wasn’t exactly useful there. Erebus only gave me a single word about that place. Death. So, I didn’t bother about it anymore."
Selena raised one finger. "We develop a theory that the black cell might have originated from this place. It is unique, and because it latches onto the living being in our universe, it can exist here.
"Meanwhile, there might be creatures that live in the Great Void. They can’t live in our universe, which is the reason why our universe hasn’t been overrun by them yet."
Nyx crossed her arms. "When I fought in the Great War, I don’t think we ever fought them in the Great Void. It could be said that we avoided that place.
"So, your theory might be correct. Aren’t Garuda and Ananta Shesha supposed to know about this?"
Garuda shook his head. "I’m merely following the order of Lord Vishnu."
Ananta thought for a moment. "I didn’t ask Lord Vishnu the reason, but I did peek into many possibilities. I believe that they specifically chose that place to sacrifice themselves because of that reason.
"There was no way to bring the fight to the Great Void. However, they wanted to send the aliens to the Great Void and let them die there. Since entry wasn’t possible, they decided to blow it up so that the Great Void could expand and swallow them."
"Did the plan succeed?"
"I don’t know. Lord Vishnu pushed me away at the last moment so that I didn’t get caught up in it, but I believe Yog-Sothoth intervened and allowed them to survive the ordeal by connecting several timelines."
Nathan rubbed his forehead. "The situation has just become even more complex. I don’t know what’s right or what’s wrong anymore."
Selena raised one finger. "Assuming that the Great Void is indeed alive, it might really want to swallow this universe.
"In one way or another, it is already that old, but it still can’t conquer this universe.
"So, it might be fine for us to ignore the Great Void and focus on the black cell. Even if it was going to swallow us in the end, we would have lived for far too long for it to be a concern. We might not care about our own life and death anymore.
"Therefore, we just let the Great Void be."
Machina stepped forward. "Mistress, for your information, the universe is also expanding. We haven’t been able to find the origin of the universe, but this universe is continuously expanding. If black holes are entities that absorb everything, there is this white hole that is supposed to release everything.

"We don’t know about that yet." Nathan sighed. "It looks like we indeed need to focus on the aliens first. The black cell is a much more imminent threat. Since the universe is still stable even after billions of years, it’s probably fine to ignore the Great Void for the time being.
