After a few hours, Luna had finally returned. As expected, the formation was made in a delicate way.
Surprisingly, Nathan and Machina were already standing where they should be from the beginning.
“Dear?” Luna looked surprised. “You have figured out the riddles?”
“Hmm? Do I need to do that?”
“You… well, you need to do that because you are currently standing on top of the gate.” Luna shook her head helplessly. Nathan was always like this. He found the answer faster than anyone else, no matter if it was his field of expertise or something else.
When the girls answered his question or the riddle, it wasn’t that they managed to find the answers faster. Nathan was simply giving them the chance to grow their way of thinking.
Nathan didn’t know that his wives had basically deified him as if he was the one who had the ability to solve everything.
Of course, he had indeed solved most of the things they had faced, but not everything.
Nathan asked, “So, what are we going to do here?”
“Actually, there is no need to inspect all of them at once because all we need to do is just activate the gate. That’s why I’ve asked the others to go here.”
“I see. In that case, have you found the answer?”
“Yes.” Luna nodded with a serious expression. “In fact, this formation makes me figure out something else. Maybe… we can create an alternate version of Yog-Sothoth’s portal. It will draw the energy from nearby stars to power up the teleportation circle.
“In addition, treating planets as cores of formation is incredible.” Luna looked at the nearby planet. “For example, if I cover that planet with my formation, it might become an extremely powerful ability that surpasses anything I have used so far.
“Creating magic circles and turning it into formation is like painting a white canvas. You need to find the correct combination to make it work, while maintaining the size so that it will run efficiently. Once it’s done, you will find a beautiful formation drawn on a canvas.”
Nathan smiled. “Using your description, won’t that mean you’re basically drawing the universe?”
“!!!” Luna suddenly turned silent. She had never thought about it before.
Previously, she drew the magic circle by using the energy to paint the blank space in the air.
She had done so all this time and found no problems with it. It might be that she had gotten so used to it that she didn’t think of any other improvements.
All she could think about was making bigger and bigger formations to get enough power for her attack.
It turned out her thinking was flawed. She might need to make it bigger because size meant power. At the same time, that wasn’t the only way to increase power.
Just like this formation, she could actually draw her magic circles on objects. In fact, she had done so before, like the space rings she created or other magic items she had forged.
However, she never thought about treating planets, asteroids, or even the suns as objects.
As a result, she didn’t think of the universe as her new canvas.
When she finally figured it out, she covered her mouth in shock. “This is amazing. No, this is beautiful.”
“Have you finally figured it out?”
“Yeah.” Luna nodded, finally finding out the true value of her ability. “This is going to be amazing.”
“I’m glad then. When do we start?”
“Once everyone is here.”
They were waiting a bit longer than Selena finally found their location. It was hard to navigate in outer space, after all.
“So?” Selena looked at Luna.
“Wait a minute. You’re going to like this.” Luna smiled, feeling confident. “Gather here!”
She gestured for them to gather in one spot, which she believed to be the gate.
After that, Luna closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. She raised her right hand and muttered, “I’m going to activate the formation. Nine stars commenced!”
Suddenly, the nine stars in the area released a small eruption.
It took them minutes before the sun’s eruption could be seen and felt.
“!!!”
“Wow?”
The girls were confused.
The nine suns started releasing energy as golden lines started forming around them. They continued to expand inward, slowly revealing the entire formation.
The formation was always here, but the suns were never activated to channel their energy into the formation, so it was never visible.
The lines formed like a maze, turning it into a complex composition that only Luna could understand.
Still, those lines ended up going to seven planets. They missed all the other planets as though they were either fake or interference that needed to be avoided.
“Hoh?” Loki looked amused. Luna really figured it out so quickly.
“These seven planets are the foundation of the realm. They’re the ones supporting the realms all this time. If any of them are getting destroyed, the realm will collapse and reveal itself. However, since we’re not going to destroy it for one reason or another, it’s better to open it in a legitimate way,” explained Luna as she clapped her hands.
The lines continued expanding and hit the next objects, the five asteroids. Those asteroids continued to move around the area as it was the one maintaining the balance.
Now that the formation had been activated, the asteroids were changing their travel path and positioning themselves to create a massive star symbol.
Then, a triangle formed by using the three brightest moons near the center area.
As soon as the lines reached them, the moons caused another explosion of energy as though all the energy from the nine suns had been directed and fused together by these three moons.
It sped up the activation of the formation as well as revealing the big empty spot in the middle of the formation. This was the gate Luna was talking about… the gate that Nathan found without even figuring out the formation.
And they were standing in the middle of a formation.
This was a formation that used space objects as its foundation and used the universe as its canvas.
