Chapter 2175: Statement.
Chapter 2175: Statement.
"Too many people feel at ease right now. If this continues, they will be influenced by Light and strengthen Seraphielle—we cannot allow that to happen.
Uncertainty, uneasiness, panic—
We need it all.
And to do this—
We continue what we have been doing.
It is time we move the immortal army."
At Amaya’s words, Nux turned his head, and his eyes fell on around two hundred and fifty Eternals, all hovering in the void with their eyes closed.
This was... their ’harvest’.
The result of everything they had been doing so far.
Yes, in the past few days, Nux hadn’t just devoured worlds, he... he had devoured beings too.
Beings who were closest to the Universe right after the Four Infinities, beings who would otherwise have the power to make literal worlds move with just their words alone.
But right now—
More than two hundred and fifty such beings were hovering right in front of them.
"It’s quite a grand collection."
Vyriana commented with a chuckle.
"One hundred and ten Light Borns, one Eternity Born, one Darkness Born, and more than a hundred and fifty other Eternals—
This is more than enough to crush any High-Level World into pieces within mere seconds, a hundred times over."
Astaria nodded as well, analyzing everything.
"And all of this is when we aren’t even counting other beings we have devoured so far."
Shadow added, looking in another direction where more than ten thousand beings remained unconscious—these were the beings who weren’t Eternals.
Most of them were Transcendents; there were even some Primordials and a few Sovereigns.
"They do not matter."
Riona shook her head.
"At least not right now."
They were only targeting High-Level Worlds, and while some of these beings were good enough to be troublesome even to High-Level Worlds, in the bigger picture, they weren’t as important.
They were mostly there to fill in the numbers or to expand their attacks further when they began to target Lower-Level Worlds again.
"With the addition of a hundred of these..."
Thyra began, staring at the hundred Light Borns,
"...I guess our attacks will be much more well-coordinated, huh?"
"Do we finally move to the final part then?"
Rune asked.
"This is the best time, yes."
Felberta nodded.
The women then stared at Sharnoth, who was staring at Nux with an uncertain look on her face, and Nux—
"Alright then."
He nodded.
"Let’s see what Seraphielle Light is capable of."
...
Back in the Main Universe, after addressing the Universe, Seraphielle turned her attention back to Lord Light.
The moment her golden eyes fell on him, the being made of light flinched and lowered his head even further.
"Report."
She commanded, and Lord Light obeyed.
"What have we lost?"
Seraphielle asked.
"We have lost..."
The reporting began.
Lord Light told everything—every world, every being, everything that belonged to the Light Faction and was now lost. Everything was reported.
The patterns in which the attacks began, the time it took for the enemy to move from one world to another—every little detail, every single thing that the Light Borns who had been investigating the matter for the past few hours had gathered—everything was reported in a well-structured manner.
The report mentioned how it all began when the mercenaries were gathered, then what happened at Gracevale, the other High-Level Worlds that were targeted one after another, until finally, the few worlds that were targeted all at the same time—
"So what began as a one-man show has now turned into... the work of an army?"
Seraphielle asked, raising an eyebrow. The frown that appeared on her divine face was... a sight to see—something even Lord Light hadn’t seen in a long, long while.
"Yes."
Lord Light nodded.
Then, with a wave of his hand, the inscriptions in the temple moved, and a light screen began hovering in the air, showing the records of Light Borns facing the said army before the vision was cut off.
Seraphielle frowned at that, but soon, the recording went back and zoomed in on one of the enemies the Light Borns were facing—someone even Seraphielle recognized.
"This is..."
"Silvaris Gracevale."
Lord Light answered.
"One of the Fifteen Gracevale Eternals who is said to have disappeared."
Seraphielle narrowed her eyes at those words.
"The enemy doesn’t just ’disappear’ together with its preys, he... recruits them."
Lord Light explained.
"At first, I did not believe it.
What could possibly make beings, especially Eternals who know of your existence, turn against you?
I believed that the enemy took over their minds and changed who they are, and I still believe it to some extent, but...
After merging with your alternative consciousness... I have another theory."
Seraphielle looked at him, signaling him to continue, and that was what he did.
"When the enemy ’disappears’ with the preys, he takes them to the Universe he came from. There, they see his strength, and maybe...
Maybe that is what gives them the bravery to... betray us."
Lord Light mentioned with slight hesitation, but since he too, together with Seraphielle, had merged with the alternate consciousness that conversed with other Infinities and came up with the theory of all this being the beginning of an invasion from another Universe, he knew he had to mention it.
And Seraphielle...
She didn’t strongly react to his words either. Just as Lord Light thought, she too had expected it to some extent.
"What else do you know?"
She asked calmly, wanting to sort everything before taking the next action.
But...
Her question was only met with silence.
She glanced at her creation, only to see him lowering his head in embarrassment, and Seraphielle found the answer to her question.
Nothing.
They did not know anything else.
Lord Light trembled, fearing what Seraphielle might do next, but...
"Gather more information."
Seraphielle just ordered calmly.
An act that surprised Lord Light—a second chance!
He was given a second chance!
However, before he could rejoice and kowtow in gratitude,
[L-Lady Seraphielle!]
A desperate voice was heard.
And it didn’t come from just one being—
As Seraphielle and Lord Light turned towards the Orb of Resonance, they saw more than thirty stars shining brightly—all of them were trying to contact them at the same time—
[[[Ara#@$$ is being attacked!]]]
The voices were overlapped, but both Seraphielle and Lord Light realized what was happening...
Another attack.
And this time—
Ten High-Level Worlds were being attacked at the same time!
And to think this was happening right after Seraphielle addressed the entire Universe...
This...
This wasn’t just an attack.
It was a statement—
A statement that the enemy too, was ready.
