Supreme Harem God System

Chapter 2188: Are you ready for our duel?

Chapter 2188: Are you ready for our duel?

"Shar, are you done yet?"

Nux kicked open the Hall’s door and walked in as he yawned. In his hand was the hair of the man these people called the strongest child of Light.

Yes, he had been dragging the Light Born on the floor by his hair, without giving a single care about the pure and noble image these guys valued so much.

As for the ones who saw him...

"W-W-Wha..."

Vexarion, with his eyes so wide that it felt like they might fall out any moment now, pointed at him with his trembling fingers.

His gaze went from Nux to the unconscious Auren, and no matter how many times he looked at it—he... he just couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

A few seconds...

Not even a complete minute had passed since Auren left the Hall with his chest high, posture straight, as if he owned the place, as if... there was no stronger being around him.

Which was true—Auren was easily one of the strongest beings in the entire Universe. Then... how...

How did he... end up in this situation?

Was... was the Anomaly this strong?

Is that the reason... Sharnoth joined him?

Slowly, Vexarion turned towards Sharnoth, wanting to see how she was reacting to this situation, and when he saw her, she looked... confused.

Confused...?

Vexarion frowned. Why was she... confused?

He thought about it and just then—

"Nux, why are you here...?"

Sharnoth questioned.

Nux scratched the back of his head with a guilty look on his face when he heard that question. Then, he lifted Auren’s body by his hair, as if showing him to Sharnoth and—

"It’s this guy’s fault.

He’s more perceptive than I thought."

Sharnoth frowned at those words.

Nux, on the other hand, turned towards Kaelith and—

"The moment he activated his ability and isolated this space, he sensed the isolation itself and figured out something was wrong."

"He sensed... the isolation...?"

Sharnoth couldn’t believe it.

How was... one supposed to sense... isolation?

At best, they would think the Hall was oddly silent, and considering that Auren thought only Vexarion was in there, silence shouldn’t be that surprising.

Nux knew what the woman was thinking and answered directly—

"I checked his memories; this guy is paranoid as fuck."

Sharnoth narrowed her eyes.

"In the past few hours he has been here, he is not only making sure this guy is safe, he is... also doubting him."

Nux spoke as he pointed at Vexarion, and the Aurendor Progenitor flinched.

"He has been constantly thinking about reading his memories but is barely stopping himself because he has no reason to. This is the reason he was trying to catch Vexarion doing something suspicious. He had planned to read his memories even if he caught him cursing him in secret in the name of redemption and building trust."

"Wait so he..."

Sharnoth’s expression changed, and Nux nodded.

"Yes, he has been constantly checking on him—multiple times in an hour—just to catch him off guard. This just happens to be one of those times."

Nux revealed, and once again, Vexarion couldn’t believe him.

Just...

Just what sort of utterly ridiculous beings was he getting involved with!? What in the name of darkness was happening!?

Of course, neither Nux nor Sharnoth cared about what he was thinking. Nux just stared at Sharnoth and—

"So yeah, the moment he left and Kaelith activated his Law, he sensed something was wrong and turned around, wanting to check.

I had no choice but to intervene.

I apologize."

Nux answered with a weak look on his face.

"It is not your fault."

Sharnoth quickly shook her head.

"You have already done a lot for me, and you are still doing this despite the risks it comes with—this wasn’t something you could have controlled in any way. Please do not apologize."

Nux smiled lightly.

Sharnoth nodded again, her cold, frosty eyes just now had completely melted away and were replaced with eyes that were filled with... appreciation and gratitude.

The change in them was so... big that Vexarion needed to blink a few times just so he could get used to the new sight, but then—

Sharnoth turned towards him, and her eyes changed again—

"As for him—"

She began.

"As I said, this was just the beginning; it wasn’t even her favourite part of the plan. Let’s move; I’ll let her handle him.

I am... too disappointed to enjoy it."

The Chaos Heir muttered with a bored look on her face.

"How much time do we have?"

She asked.

"I knocked him out before he could inform the one they call Lord Light. I am keeping an eye on that woman too; she hasn’t moved or reacted any differently either, so I would say we have a little time,

But it—"

"It is better not to take any unnecessary risks."

Sharnoth interrupted.

She never agreed to this from the beginning. She would get her revenge one way or the other—Nux shouldn’t put himself at risk like this.

Nux stared at her and clenched his fists in frustration.

"Let’s move."

The Chaos Heir nodded, and Nux...

He glared at Vexarion for a moment before turning back to Sharnoth and—

"Alright—"

He nodded.

Or he tried to, but then—

"Y-You people truly think you can escape after barging in here and harassing me in such a manner!?"

Vexarion shouted.

Both Sharnoth and Nux turned towards him with a frown. The Progenitor pointed his finger at them, his legs, however, were trembling.

"D-Do you know who I am!?"

He shouted again.

"I am chosen by Lady Sera—"

"Did you not hear when I said I read his memories?"

Without wasting any time, Nux interrupted his monologue.

"I know exactly what you are, Vexarion Aurendor."

He spoke, his golden eyes shining with amusement.

"A bait."

"Y-Y-You!!"

Vexarion’s eyes shined with intense anger as he glared at Nux.

It was the word he hated the most, a word that if anyone else used in front of him, he would have ripped that bastard open, but...

Auren’s unconscious body that the Anomaly was holding was... stopping him.

"Don’t think you will get away with this!

Even if you escape today—"

"Justice dude, I think you got something wrong."

Nux interrupted him again; he had no intentions of entertaining him.

"We are not escaping. Even if we are, there won’t be a next time between the two of us because...

We are taking you with us."

Nux revealed, and Vexarion’s eyes widened in horror.

"W-What...?"

Soon, however, his expression changed, and a ferocious look appeared on his face—

"And you think I will let you!?"

He screamed.

Yes, Auren was still in his hands—it was living proof of how strong this monster was—but this didn’t mean he could back out, not when the enemy was threatening to abduct him right in front of him.

This humiliation... he would not stand for it.

"I AM VEXARION AURENDOR!!"

He screamed.

"I AM THE HERALD OF JUSTIC—"

The Progenitor of Aurendor moved, requesting complete assistance from Aurendor’s Will, strengthening himself to the point that even Auren himself would need to be wary.

Yes, he was going all out.

His aim—

Escape.

There were six Eternals around him, and he wasn’t even counting the monstrous Anomaly—this wasn’t a battle he could win.

The best possible outcome would be for him to gather all his strength and escape—buying enough time that Lady Seraphielle gets her—

FWWOOOSSSSSHHH

Just when Vexarion was planning everything, everything around him turned dark.

The last thing he heard was—

"Yeah yeah, justice whatnot, stop this.

It gets tiresome after some point.

You lot, we will take him away, you destroy Aurendor."

And then—Vexarion lost consciousness.

Every plan he made, every relic he was about to use, every ability he thought to use in a perfect sequence in order to escape in the surest way possible—

It all became useless.

And when he woke up...

He... he was in a completely different place—a place he did not recognize.

A dark, oddly still place. And it wasn’t just the place itself—even he felt... strange.

He felt... disconnected.

However, the moment his hazy mind recalled everything that happened, his expression changed, and he instantly took out the call artifact, wanting to contact his allies and alert them of his situation.

But...

The artifact did not work.

No matter which one he picked, even the one Auren gave him for emergencies, nothing worked.

It was as if... the place he was in... restricted any form of contact with the rest of the Universe!

Vexarion then recalled the news he heard—how the Anomaly often disappeared with people, and... those people were never seen again. Not even Light Borns who had disappeared were found.

The moment that thought appeared in his mind, panic set in.

Would he... be trapped in this place for the rest of Eternity?

Vexarion, however, refused to give in.

If he couldn’t contact the rest of the Universe, he would leave on his own!

With that thought in his mind, he stared at the gloomy sky. His intention was clear—fly until he was able to activate the call artifacts or reach somewhere he was familiar with—

But...

"Vexarion Aurendor—"

An ecstatic, crazily chilly voice was heard.

"Are you ready for our duel?"
