Chapter 2220: Wh-what’s happening…?
Chapter 2220: Wh-what’s happening...?
The void rippled one last time.
The golden radiance of Light, the black storm of Darkness, and the tranquil glow of Balance all steadied, turning toward a single point—
Crack
And there, reality itself cracked.
Thin, shimmering lines ran through the emptiness like fractures of glass, but instead of breaking apart, they folded in—rewinding, realigning and... converging into a single spot.
From those folds, new reality was formed, giving shape to... him.
He didn’t emerge like the others did—he was... written into existence.
Symbols, runes, and equations of light and shadow etched themselves midair, spinning faster and faster until they formed the outline of a man. When the last rune clicked into place, they solidified, revealing the fourth being.
Orravyn Eternity, the Infinity of Eternity.
His presence bent the concept of time itself.
The air around him seemed to move forward and backward at once; every breath, every step carried... echoes—some happening before, some after.
He was not merely standing there—he was there, and also had... always been there.
Orravyn had long, silvery-white hair with streaks of faint violet and gold running through them like flowing starlight. It fell down to his shoulders, weightlessly.
His eyes glowed softly—deep amethyst with golden rings spinning slowly within, each ring representing a different... epoch.
If one looked too long, they could see reflections of the past and glimpses of the future in his gaze.
His robes were woven from starlight and shadow—long, regal, and layered with infinite detail. Each thread shined with subtle constellations that moved when he did, creating the illusion of a night sky in motion.
A faint, ancient book hovered near his right hand, its pages turning by themselves, glowing symbols vanishing and reappearing as if rewriting existence.
Around him, the void itself seemed to bend.
Stars blinked into being for a moment before fading, galaxies flickered like candle flames, and even Light and Darkness seemed dimmer in his presence—not because he outshone them, but because time itself slowed when he appeared.
His skin carried a faint silver hue, smooth, flawless and radiating quiet wisdom. He looked young, but his gaze carried the exhaustion of someone who had lived through... countless lifetimes.
"Ah."
And then—
He let out a strange, amused voice, a voice that seemed to be layered over itself—as if past, present, and future were speaking together as one.
"So... it begins again."
He smiled faintly as he stared at others gathered around him and the other three Infinities; they all rolled their eyes at his presence.
After all, the three of them knew the truth.
All of it—all of Eternity’s appearance, his temperament, his... very presence—it was all just... a show.
Orravyn did not have power over time; none of the Infinities did.
Time was one of the most complex Primordial Energies in the existence of the Universe; no one in the entire Universe had... Absolute Control over it.
Sure, there were some beings who boasted Absolute Laws related to time but...
That was all there was to it—all those laws were... related to time, not the Law of Time itself.
The True Law of Absolute Time does not exist.
Orravyn did not have it, neither did someone else. Orravyn just... liked to show he had complete grasp over time itself because according to him...
The more he ’knows’, the less relevant time becomes to him.
After all, what could time do to an... omniscient?
The one who knows it all knows time as well.
Or at least, that was what Orravyn believed with all his might; thus, the grand gestures and all the show-off.
Of course, none of the Infinities cared about it; in their eyes, Orravyn was still a child and... who was supposed to play into their fantasies if not children?
So in the end, the three Infinities accepted whatever it was Orravyn was trying to do and Orravyn used that opportunity to the fullest.
"Do you... sense it as well?"
He began with the question.
The three Infinities did not react, but Orravyn didn’t care; he just continued—
"It seems that our Universe was missing us dearly."
He commented with a soft chuckle as he looked up and the very fabric of the void folded inward, forming a perfect horizon.
And the Infinity of Eternity wasn’t wrong.
He was right.
Far beyond the realm they were in,
In every single world, in every single sky that exists, in every fragment of creation—
The Universe trembled.
RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE
THUNDER THUNDER THUNDER
But this time, it wasn’t a reaction that came from pain, fear or... anger.
This time, the Universe was trembling with joy.
The planets quivered in their orbits. Suns burned brighter for the first time in a few centuries. Entire galaxies seemed to hum faintly, as though the heartbeat of creation itself had finally returned.
This time, these cosmic reactions didn’t cause any destruction. Instead, they gave... a blessing.
In the last few centuries, the Universe had lost a lot; because of that, it had become... quite stingy. The Worlds weren’t getting the... resources they usually received, which was affecting the very life itself.
It caused quite a few disasters—disasters that caused mass destruction, and trillions and trillions of souls returned to the Universe, making up for the energy it had... lost.
Yes, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that before this, the entire Universe was... in its darkest age.
The Worlds struggled for resources to keep life going; the living lived in scarcity and... lives were needed to make up for it all.
But today—
Today it was different.
For the first time in centuries, the Worlds were given the Energy they required and more, brightening trillions of World Wills with joy. Mountains hummed. Oceans shimmered. Beasts and mortals alike froze where they stood, overwhelmed by a warmth that wrapped around them like an embrace from something they could never name.
Of course, while this strange feeling wouldn’t show any effect right now—in the upcoming days, if nothing goes wrong, life will prosper again, the Worlds will sing and the Universe...
It will return to how it once was, since the foreign enemy that had been raiding it, the enemy that had made its existence difficult, was now going to perish.
After all, the Universe’s strongest children were now awake, all of them.
Far beyond them, in that same, silent, endless void, the Four Infinities stood together for the first time in countless eras.
Just like Eternity, the other three could sense the Universe’s joy as well.
"It has become far more... welcoming."
Seraphielle commented with a light smile on her face, her long hair brushing past her shoulders as her eyes looked through the infinite expanse.
"Of course it has."
Darkness snorted.
"It needs us now."
He spoke as he stretched his hands, crimson eyes narrowing with quiet satisfaction.
Balance hovered between them, not saying anything. Before this, when the five Infinities went against each other, the Universe cried because of the destruction caused; this soured the ’relationship’ between the Universe and the remaining Infinities. Now, however, during the time of need, it seemed like the Universe was prepared to mend what was broken.
It was quite amusing to see, but at the same time...
This also showed just how serious of a problem the Anomaly had become.
"Whatever, let’s move.
Time here flows naturally, so every moment counts."
Balance spoke in a calm tone as he gestured towards Eternity, who nodded calmly and—
He raised his hand.
And with a single motion—
The very Reality bent.
Across every world, every sky, every living corner of creation—a veil of light unfolded, rippling through the clouds like a wave made of color, and then, it froze, turning into something... solid and impossibly vast.
And in that Veil...
The image of the Four Infinities appeared. Their silhouettes towered in the sky of every world, seen by the World’s Progenitors and mortals alike.
The sight silenced everything—wind halted mid-motion, flames acted like they forgot to flicker, even gravity itself seemed to pause in reverence.
...
Far away, in a quiet village inside a Middle Level World, a young boy, who was tending to a dying fire that suddenly seemed like it was energized, panicked.
It wasn’t just the flames; every single thing around him was the same. The vegetation seemed to have come alive, moving with the warm wind that had begun just a few moments ago when this all started.
For a moment, the young boy was scared.
Such odd movements... weren’t a good sign...
It usually came with death and destruction but today...
Today something felt... different.
Today it all felt... warm.
With that thought in his mind, the boy unconsciously looked up and suddenly—his eyes widened in surprise as he saw the clouds torn open and a wave of blue light sweeping across the sky, showing four beings he... did not recognize.
"Wh-what’s happening...?"
The boy stumbled back in panic, his heart pounding unsure if it was fear or awe. It... it was happening again.
First, it was the Chain Breakers, whose message spread through words of people who saw them, then it was the Infinity of Light, Lady Seraphielle, who directly talked to every single one of them and now...
Now it was this—
Beings who... seemed like they were going to address them directly.
