Chapter 2293: Battle of Infinities.
Chapter 2293: Battle of Infinities.
"Seraphielle!"
"Have you lost your mind!?"
The moment the Infinity of Light declared war, the room reacted. Both Equarios and Orravyn raised their ’concerned’ voices.
A war between Light and Darkness wasn’t uncommon. Light Worlds were constantly at war with Darkness Worlds, it happened almost every century.
But a war between the Supreme World of Light and the Supreme World of Darkness?
That changed things.
Because that war would plunge the entire Universe into it.
And the two Infinities were worried.
Or at least, that’s what they were showing outside. Inwardly, however, they couldn’t be more glad.
The Anomaly had disrupted the delicate balance that the four Infinities had. His actions had spread fear, anger, helplessness and more such negative emotions.
These actions alone weakened Light, but with Light’s counter moves, moves like sealing themselves and monthly memory checks, these emotions only got stronger.
Light was severely weakened, it wasn’t just its Authority that was draining, the number of Eternals under Light’s Faction was falling and believe it or not, even if an Infinity was strong, the number of Eternals still mattered.
At least when it came to war.
But...
Light’s weakening wasn’t the only thing that happened because of this.
Light and Darkness were two opposite sides of the same coin, if Light got weaker, the chances of Darkness getting stronger were quite high.
And that was exactly what happened.
All this fear, uncertainty, helplessness, anger, negative emotions that the entire Universe felt fuelled Darkness, or more precisely, it strengthened Ul’Thakar.
Of course, he still wasn’t at the level where Zylarith once was. Darkness wasn’t like Chaos, it couldn’t grow endlessly.
But even then—
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that at this point in time, because of everything that was happening in the Universe, Ul’Thakar was the strongest out of the four of them.
And the worst part?
He was getting stronger and stronger.
If the Anomaly’s actions continued for... say another few hundred thousand years, at the same rate as he was doing right now, and none of his actions directly targeted Ul’Thakar...
The negative emotions in the Universe would pile up even further, releasing enough darkness energy to rival... chaos.
Yes.
If things continued like they were—
Ul’Thakar could potentially become as strong as Zylarith and none of the Infinities wanted that.
So while both Orravyn and Equarios talked about how they should avoid war and were trying to stop Seraphielle—
Inwardly, they were smiling.
The plan was simple.
They were going to let these two fight and weaken each other. Seraphielle’s condition did not matter, she was already out of the equation, at least for now, but they did hope that this war would weaken Ul’Thakar to some level, giving them an advantage.
Then they would only need to worry about each other and once the victor between them was chosen, he could then plan to move, find and defeat the Fifth and...
Take over the Universe’s Will.
Yes.
The Infinities, especially the Infinity of Balance and the Infinity of Eternity, could see it. Their long waits finally bearing fruit.
Of course, none of these feelings could be seen on their faces right now, they had even approached Seraphielle to try and stop her.
"Seraphielle, think carefully. This isn’t a battle you can win."
Orravyn spoke in a ’concerned’ voice. Equarios too understood what Orravyn was doing and followed along.
"Yes, stop this."
He nodded.
"Ul’Thakar is stronger than he normally is and you are weaker. If you continue like this, you will perish."
"Yes, the Anomaly has weakened you and made you desperate, but giving in to that desperation and acting on it isn’t the right thing to do."
"War is not the solution!"
Both Infinities were ’convincing’ Seraphielle to stop. Their words, however, were more provocative than convincing.
And why wouldn’t they be?
Their intentions were to provoke her, to boil her anger further, to make sure she didn’t back out, not now, not after they were so close.
They wanted to do the same with Ul’Thakar too, they wanted to provoke him to jump in as well, but right now Seraphielle was the easier target, the one with unstable emotions, the one who was more likely to burst out—
Or at least that’s what they thought but—
"YOU!!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOM
Suddenly, Ul’Thakar, who had been silent for about a second, suddenly released an Aura far more suffocating than Seraphielle’s. His crimson eyes glowed intensely, pressure around him flared and he glared at Seraphielle as if he wanted her dead this very moment.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM
Seraphielle did not back down either, she released her Aura as well, this time without holding back. The two Auras clashed, both equally intense and the clash was so explosive that even the other two Infinities felt it.
In an instant, the giant room became a battlefield. Light and Darkness, the strongest forms of two completely opposite energies collided and...
The space shattered.
That very instant.
The two beings hadn’t even begun the battle and the destruction that came with it could already be seen.
Even the space that was hardened by the Infinities’ Auras shattered in an instant. The collision between Light and Darkness gave birth to...
An unknown matter.
A translucent, whitish-silver-purplish matter that ate everything it came into contact with at a pace so quick that even black holes seemed... like childish toys in comparison.
Orravyn observed that matter carefully. This obviously wasn’t the first time he had seen it, he had even tried to replicate it, to somehow use it because he knew whatever this... thing was, it was strong enough to hurt even the Infinities.
But it couldn’t be replicated, after all, the ’materials’ required to create it were... two of the strongest beings in the Universe.
Soon however, Orravyn shook his head, this wasn’t important right now, what he needed to understand was...
What in the hell was happening here?
Seraphielle, he understood. She was desperate, she was angry and that anger had piled up and burst out when the Fifth provoked her.
But...
What just happened to Ul’Thakar?
His frown deepened, then the reports finally came and the moment they did, he looked at Seraphielle with a shocked look on his face.
This woman...
She didn’t do it out of anger or helplessness...
It was planned.
She planned the entire thing and she...
She had already executed her plan.
All of Darkness’s major worlds had been attacked, some had perished. Yes, it had all begun just two seconds ago but Darkness’s worlds had already begun to perish, and these weren’t weak worlds, they were strongly protected.
And even those that had survived until now weren’t any better. Orravyn’s people had begun investigating the matter and they could see that the battle...
It wasn’t in Ul’Thakar’s favor at all.
Only Ul’Thakar’s own world, the Supreme World of Darkness, was faring well. The number of Light Borns was less compared to the number of Darkness Borns after the Anomaly hunted almost two hundred of them.
Sure, that gap was filled by the absurdly strong weapons the Light Borns were using, but the Darkness Borns were still holding on.
The Supreme World of Darkness was holding on.
But the rest of the worlds in the Darkness Faction were not.
The enemy was too prepared, they were caught completely off guard and the longer this continued, the more Darkness worlds would perish.
Ul’Thakar...
He needed to leave and stabilize the situation, right now.
But—
Seraphielle obviously wouldn’t allow that, so the Infinity of Light moved directly towards Ul’Thakar and with her sword now in her hand, she attacked.
Darkness formed his own sword out of the Darkness around him and blocked her attack.
The Gold and Black collided, once again that unknown matter was formed, this time in a much larger quantity than before and—
BOOOOOOOOM
The entire space blew up.
Both Orravyn and Equarios actually had to use their own Auras to protect themselves. Orravyn checked, he tried to regenerate the room they were in but just as he expected, the entire room was vaporized.
Nothing was left to be regenerated.
It was gone, together with the very space around them.
CLANK CLANK CLANK
The two Infinities continued to clash with their swords and with every single one of their clashes—
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM
Explosions strong enough to hurt even Infinities if they weren’t careful exploded all over the place. The space was torn apart so many times that its very layers began to feel empty.
It was... damaged.
And it would take billions of years for the Universe to be able to heal this damage.
And mind you, not even five seconds had passed since it all began, since Seraphielle declared war and Ul’Thakar accepted.
That was the level of destruction that happened when Infinities fought.
That was why they say that when the Infinities fight, even the Universe bleeds.
And that was exactly what was happening right now.
The Universe’s Will was screaming, wanting the two beings to stop. At the same time, it kept reinforcing the void again and again, making sure that the very void that keeps everything together and gives birth to the concepts of Space, Time and other Primordial Energies didn’t get torn apart.
And while all this was happening—
Another being, standing far, far, far away from all this mess—
He observed it all with his golden eyes.
