Chapter 2400 Y-You shouldn’t be alive…

"Still no trace of fear, huh?"

Ul'Thakar laughed, trying to taunt the captured Nux.

"Fear?"

Nux just grinned.

"I think we all know who here is actually moving out of fear, don't we?"

"Stubborn to the very end."

Zylarith laughed, then, he shook his head and—

"Well, you are stubborn because you still mean something.

Let me help you with that."

The rest of the Infinities poured their powers into the execution and—

Nux's body disappeared.

He was gone.

And for a moment, the void turned silent.

"It's over."

The Seer commented.

"He was… more troublesome than I expected."

Ul'Thakar commented and the other Infinities didn't deny those words.

"It was good we took care of him."

Equarios commented.

During the entire conversation, Zylarith didn't say anything. He was… slowly fading away, without alerting anyone but—

"Where are you going, Zylarith Chaosveil?"

Suddenly, a voice was heard and Zylarith froze.

He looked and noticed all Four Infinities were now looking at him with grins on their faces.

"What else? He was trying to escape."

Ul'Thakar laughed.

"The mighty Zylarith Chaosveil, now trying to escape like a rat.

Oh, how fate plays its game."

Seraphielle chuckled, her golden eyes shining brightly.

Equarios and Orravyn had similar expressions and Zylarith—

He didn't need another second to figure out what they were trying to do.

Now that the Anomaly was gone, they were trying to get rid of the only existence that could possibly trouble them.

Him.

"Are you sure you want another battle right after this one?"

He asked as he narrowed his eyes dangerously.

"Oooh~ Scary~"

Ul'Thakar laughed.

"Bold of you to assume you can fight us."

Orravyn chuckled as he moved his hand, a thin silver page, the same page that removed the battlefield from the Universe's perspective.

"Cowards…"

Zylarith growled as he instantly understood what they were trying to do. The moment the Universe sensed this battlefield, he would be forced to stop using his powers or else the Universe itself would devour him.

They weren't even planning on giving him a fair chance.

"You were laughing when someone else called you a coward just a few seconds ago."

Seraphielle laughed.

"He was right."

Zylarith spoke with strong hatred as he prepared to use his powers anyway, he would rather be killed by the Universe than by these bastards.

But the next second, just as Orravyn was about to deactivate his Relic—

"That I was."

Another familiar voice was heard.

A voice that made every single being present, even the Seer, freeze.

In an instant, the six of them turned around and their eyes fell on him, standing in front of them, with a wide, amused grin on his face.

"No…"

Orravyn's eyes widened in sheer horror.

"Y-You shouldn't be alive…

That is not possible!"

Ul'Thakar screamed.

Seraphielle directly turned towards the Seer and—

"Hey! What is happening!?"

That scream made the Seer recover her senses. She looked at Seraphielle then back at Nux and…

She finally realized it.

Her plan succeeded.

'He… he really did return from death…'

She couldn't believe it.

Did it mean she got what she wanted?

She wondered in her head and she…

She smiled.

Seraphielle saw that.

"YOU BITCH!!"

And she screamed.

"YOU PLANNED THIS!!"

The rest of the Infinities turned towards her, shocked. The Seer looked at them, she didn't feel anything in particular. They were… too insignificant in her eyes for her to be affected by their outrage.

She wanted to answer, but before she could—

"Aren't you overestimating him a little too much? He is a foolish child who made the mistake of trusting someone like her, how dangerous could he be?"

Nux repeated the exact words Orravyn had used for him before.

The Infinities turned towards him and Nux chuckled.

"I guess I wasn't the only child who made that mistake, huh?"

Orravyn's mouth twitched, Seraphielle glared at him in anger and Ul'Thakar—

"It doesn't matter."

He spoke, his voice now seemed a lot colder than before.

"Your reappearance doesn't change anything.

All we need to do is put you away."

His crimson eyes shined dangerously.

But this time—

"Nux."

Zylarith called out.

"Let's make a deal."

"You…"

The Infinities turned towards him in anger. Zylarith didn't care, instead, he stared at Nux and—

"You cannot defeat them alone, so let m—"

But before he could even complete his words, Nux disappeared from where he was and appeared right next to him at a speed far greater than any being, even Seraphielle, could react to.

Then, he grabbed Zylarith by his neck.

Something that shouldn't even be possible since Zylarith was in his Soul Form but—

"KHhrrkkk!! Krrkkhh!!"

Zylarith couldn't escape.

He glared at Nux, he could see he had no intention of making a deal, so instead—

BOOOOOOOM

The Chaos Energy around him exploded and attacked Nux from all directions.

Or at least…

That was what was supposed to happen but—

Zzzp

The Chaos Energy stopped right before touching Nux and… Zylarith lost control over it.

"Wha…?"

Zylarith's eyes widened in horror as he realized what happened.

His Chaos Energy… it was taken over by someone with a deeper understanding of Chaos than him.

How…?

How was that possible…?

He wanted to ask but—

Nux simply grinned, then, he tightened his hold over Zylarith's throat and… he erased the concept of Death for him, making it impossible for Zylarith to die no matter what.

And then—

"Zylarith Chaosveil, let your Nightmare begin."

He declared as the Chaos Energy around them took the form of needles and those needles all plunged themselves inside Zylarith's soul.

"AAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Zylarith screamed in agony.

The more he screamed, the more Chaos gathered around him, the more needles pierced into his Soul, the more agony he felt, the more he screamed and…

The cycle repeated.

Endlessly because Zylarith could no longer die.

"AAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

"Your pain tolerance is embarrassingly low, we need to work on that."

Nux commented.

"Anyways, for now.

Let's work with your lot."

Then, he shrugged and turned towards the rest.

And the 'rest' flinched.

That little display was more than enough…

This was… not the Anomaly they just fought…
